Sunday Meditation: Fine Art Uplifts the Mind and Heart.

Do you ever just sit and look at a work of classical art and think about what the artist is trying to say? If a picture is worth a thousand words, a work of real art is a magnitude richer! One of the things I love best about The Epoch Times is their Life and Tradition section which generally includes a work of classical art. I always benefit from meditating on what the artist is saying with his work.

The VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System) has never before in its history seen the explosion of deaths and injuries reported from a vaccine. But the geniuses developing COVID policy, like Tony Fauci, assure us that the vaccines are "safe" and all the adverse events are "normal" and "just a coincidence" and not, definitely not, associated with the jab. Or, if they are associated, they are the normal deaths from a normal vaccination and are rare, very rare! And the death and injury of your loved ones are necessary for the common good everyone else (especially the bank accounts of Big Pharma execs and Bill Gates).

I laugh because even when the evidence was written on paper in black and white, and even when the victim/whistleblower, while being filmed in an interview, told and even demonstrated what happened, Church Militant in general, and Christine Niles in particular, told a lie an "inaccuracy"- you know, because a lie "specific error" is more sensational than the truth.

This morning my husband and I went to the 8:30 Mass at St. John the Baptist in Front Royal which was an ad orientem high Novus Ordo -- very reverent, Gregorian chant, incense -- lovely. But I have to say the sad thought came to me that, no matter how well it's done, the Novus Ordo is a poor imitation of the Traditional Latin Mass. It will never be the Mass of the Ages and we lost the unity, the oneness, of all people worshiping in the same language.

I posted yesterday about the Supreme Court's decision in National Federation of Business vs. the Department of Labor/OSHA. Today, let's take a look at the concurring decision written by Justice Gorsuch and joined by Justices Thomas and Alito. It's an interesting document that adds significantly to the reasoning behind the decision. First of all Gorsuch clearly identifies the constitutional rights and powers of the states vs. those of the federal government. It makes for interesting reading:

I'm reading the Supreme Court's decision and it's clearly a victory for workers! It cancels the OSHA mandate which frees about 84.2 million workers (OSHA's estimate) from the mandatory jab. The court's reasoning? OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) never had that kind of authority which is about "occupational" safety. Mandating broad health regulations is outside their function to protect people "on the job."

Last night my husband and I had a telephone conversation with one of my husband's brothers. As we discussed family matters and shared about our respective grandchildren, we agreed that we live in scary times. The secular culture, under a demented president and a leftist agenda, is a mess! And the Church, which should be our rock, is teetering under the rule of evil men. It's easy to sink into discouragement and fear.

Editor's comment: I copied the open letter below from Tom Woods' email list. I highly recommend his book,  How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization. Woods is a libertarian and is always interesting and informative. The doctor whose open letter is copied below is one of the medical experts governments should have been listening to instead of snake oil salesmen like Tony Fauci. If medical experts like Udi Qimron were at the microphone instead of Fauci and Birx, we would likely have seen far fewer deaths from COVID and far fewer catastrophic societal events like suicides, drug overdoses, business failures, children falling behind in education, etc. May the names of Fauci and Birx live in infamy!

Open Letter to Bishop Michael Burbidge, Diocese of Arlington, Virginia on Access to the Traditional Latin Mass

Editor's Comment: Many bishops around the country are acting in haste to implement the illegitimate motu proprio, Traditionis Custodes, and the responsa to the dubious dubia. The shepherds have much reason to go slowly before joining a good ole boys' club (literally) to hammer the faithful for loving the holy Mass celebrated by the saints for millennia. Wow! Sharing the Opinions of Good Doctors Needs a Trigger Warning!

I just got off the phone with someone who read me the riot act for today's earlier post about the doctors blowing the whistle on COVID policies and the movement toward forced vaccination and vaccine passports. I guess I should have started the post with a trigger warning! My caller was clearly upset. You could hear it in her voice which was shaking. After saying that I'm unchristian and unfeeling and she wanted to tell me off which she proceeded to do, she hung up without waiting for a response. 

We're in the Brave New World, Folks! Is Anyone Listening to the REAL Medical Experts?

My sister, an uber liberal, sent me a text the other day with CNN's resident "medical expert" spreading fear about Omicron which is about as serious as a bad cold. Nevertheless, he was beating the drum about hospitals being overwhelmed, yada, yada and my sister was so worried because I said in my Christmas letter that I'd had COVID and was immune and would gladly help any sick parents needing help with their children. 

CNN and the other mainstream media echo chambers are in bed with the rich liars benefiting financially from the gene therapy and willing to sacrifice the hoi polloi for two purposes -- control and money! Listen to the real medical experts who are warning about the creation of a data base that can be used to take over the lives of every person in the world. "The world's first digital data base," using an individual digital identity, will be used to control every person on the planet. The "vaccine" passport system is for the purpose of coercion and  complete control of humanity by requiring people to "show their papers" to shop, travel, etc. "Vaccine and top-up vaccines are evil and aimed at mass depopulation."

• Why do they call New Year's Eve "first night" when it's really last night?

• We had a little New Year's Eve party last night with a priest friend and several other guests including my sister-in-law. When we said the rosary she surprised me by gifting me a rosary that belonged to my grandmother, our grandchildren's great-great grandmother! My mom gave it to her, and she generously regifted it to me. I am so grateful! Big hugs to Jessica! I can't think of a gift I would appreciate more!
