Our God is an Awesome God!

He created the heavens and the earth.

  1. There's only one God whom all of us will meet on judgment day.

  2. What about the Muslims? Hindu's? and all the wide variety of religions? What in God's creation would make you believe that you and your God owns the market on being awesome?

The vanity of the selfless and those who even practice utmost humility is boundless.

  3. The Muslims believe in one God too. The three monotheistic religions are Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. We all believe in one God. The Hindus are polytheistic.

I find your comment baffling. As a Catholic I believe in the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that Jesus died to redeem us. I would like to see everyone become a Catholic because I believe it to be the fullness of the truth. That doesn't mean I don't recognize there is truth in other religions, but they don't have the fullness of the truth. If someone has a refrigerator with ten things because he believes that's what "food" is wouldn't I be unkind if I didn't try to show him what he was missing? We'll all find out when we die who had the fullness of the truth. I'd just like folks to find it out a lot quicker. But why would I be a Catholic (and why would someone be any other faith)if I (or he) didn't believe it was the truth? To call that vanity doesn't compute.

  4. Not all Christians believe in the Catholic Trinitarian versions or Popery and then there are multitude of other faiths and beliefs in addition to the major religions.

Vanity is the "excessive" pride in one's religion. Vanity is a form of conceit: "Hey everyone, look how great, truthful or awesome my religion is." Vanity becomes conceit when one is trying to show-off to others how great, truthful and awesome my religion is.
It’s a far different story and to ask others of other faiths about what they think of one’s religion.

Finally, I want to thank you for your responses and your efforts in doing so.

  5. I don't have "pride" in my religion any more than I have "pride" in any other thing I believe to be true. Is it "pride" to believe that the planets revolve around the sun? I believe my faith is true. Its truth is no credit to me, but it is a blessing. The reason I want to share it with others is because I want them to experience the same joy in embracing the fullness of the truth and knowing God through His Son Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth, and the life.
