|What the so-called "Age of|
Reason" ushered into the world!
Chilton Williamson in Chronicles, November 2018
"To borrow from St. Augustine, God made us to make the times, not the times to make us. We're the subjects of history, not its objects. And unless we make the times better with the light of Jesus Christ, then the times will make us worse with their darkness."
Archbishop Charles Chaput
"All migrants who arrive in Europe are penniless, without work, without dignity...This is what the Church wants?...The Church ca not cooperate with this new form of slavery that has become mass migration. If the West continues in this fatal way, there is a great risk that, due to a lack of birth, it will disappear, invaded by foreigners, just as Rome has been invaded by barbarians....My country is predominantly Muslim. I think I know what reality I'm talking about....If Europe disappears, and with it the invaluable values of the old continent, Islam will invade the world. And we will totally change culture, anthropology, and moral vision....This current desire to globalize the world by suppressing nations, specificities, is pure madness!"
Cardinal Robert Sarah from interview with French publication Valeurs Actuelles
Americans have been steadily rejecting a Judeo-Christian morality in favor of secular relativism for decades. In the so-called seual revolution of the late 1960s, sex was separated from the person -- body and soul -- and the human boy became regarded as an instrument one could manipulate and even exploit for pleasure....This is why the world was so angered by Humanae Vitae, which arrived right in the middle of the sexual revolution....[The encyclical] clearly reaffirms the inseparability of the unitive and procreative meaning of the conjugal act. To employ contraception and embrace its mentality is to act contrary to the God-given purpose of spousal love between man and woman, which distorts other human relationships....If we are serious about strengthening the family, promoting the well-being of children, reversing the growing number of broken marriages in our nation, ending abortion, upholding the dignity of the aged and ill, and promoting purity and chastity, then let's be honest about where the moral breakdown begins."
