Priest Refuses Communion on the Tongue to Kneeling Catholic

To be fair, there were other priests (You can see them in the video.) who gave Communion on the tongue. But this rogue priest knows better than God and felt he had the right to deny the Eucharist to someone because he dared to kneel and try to receive on the tongue. Well, I hope someone identifies the priest and he receives the censure he deserves for denying the canonical rights of the man. Perhaps soon, the priest's action will be the norm, but for now it was a canonical violation that should be exposed. It's especially ironic since Benedict encouraged Communion on the tongue. Lord, have mercy on us for the curse of arrogant priests who inflict their personal desires on Your flock, diminishing reverence for Your sacred. Body and Blood.

  1. What I’m observing from the video and from what others are saying on social media who were present at the funeral today, he and other faithful at the funeral Mass were systematically denied receiving on the tongue, only while kneeling. It appears to be an issue of specifically not allowing kneeling while receiving. The priest’s body language of moving his hand that held the Sacred Host toward the man’s face after he kissed the priest’s hand indicates to me he intended to give the man Holy Communion once he stood up. The priest seems confused once the man turns away. The man either didn’t understand or he did not want to receive while standing since he walked away. But, obviously this is still very problematic and disturbing that they want to ban this form of reverence from Masses held at the Vatican (and beyond).

  2. Anon @ 4:04 - are you defending the priest for being willing to give communion on the tongue--just not when one is kneeling? Can't one kneel to receive (or to adore) Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament? VC2 adherents claim not to deny the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist, but EVERYTHING THEY DO shows them to be liars--and is perhaps why so much disrespect at the new mass and why less than 1/3 of Catholics still believe in the real presence.

Please, check the photo below: While everybody was kneeling, Pope Francis remained standing in front of the Blessed Sacrament on December 31, 2018.

On that day he sang the Vespers in St Peter’s Basilica. Before the Te Deum in thanksgiving for 2018, the Blessed Sacrament was exposed.

Francis stood for 20 minutes in front of the monstrance, although a kneeler was in front of him. The Catholic Liturgy requires the faithful to kneel in front of the Blessed Sacrament. A pope is not above the liturgy.

It has become Francis' pattern to kneel neither in front of the Blessed Sacrament nor during consecration.

He loves, however, kneeling for Anglican martyrs and bowing his knees to wash the feet of immigrants, prisoners or transvestites.

  3. No pavlov tongue communerJanuary 5, 2023 at 7:06 PM

Its weird to think your hands are dirtier than your tongue. Your tongue is apart of your body too, has way more germs, and is touching the wafer just as your hand would.

  4. And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah reached out to the ark of God and took hold of it; for the oxen upset it. And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah. And God struck him there for the error (2 Kings(Samuel-protestant) 6:3, 6 - 7, HBFV throughout).
    https://www.drbo.org/chapter/10006.htm

Protestant Commentary: Uzzah was killed by God for impulsively touching the Ark of the Covenant in an attempt to prevent it from possibly falling out of its cart.

David soon realized, however, his error in transporting the Ark of the Covenant. He failed to find out the Biblically proscribed way to move the holy vessel that was delineated in God's law.

    Holy Standards
God originally commanded that only Levitical priests could transport the ark, and other holy objects from the tabernacle in the wilderness, from place to place (Numbers 4:2 - 4, 15, 1Chronicles 15:2). He even warned that those approved to move such sacred pieces, which were covered by the High Priest before being transported, would die if they touched the actual holy object or saw it (Numbers 4:15, 17 - 20)!

King David didn't take any chances the second time he attempted to move the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. He solicited the help of 860+ Levitical priests, as well as both High Priests serving at the time (Zadok and Abiathar), to properly move the sacred object (1Chronicles 15:4 - 11). The ark was moved not using a cart but by the priests carrying it on their shoulders, using poles, as the Lord commanded Moses (verses 15).

This event shows that the details matter to God! The Ark of the Covenant, because it was moved properly, was able to joyously travel to Jerusalem without incident (1Chronicles 15:25 - 28). It then stayed in the city of David until Solomon's temple when it was placed inside the Holy of Holies.

  5. When I first saw this yesterday morning at 3:00 am I thought I might be still asleep and that it didn't happen, but it did! Mixed emotions, because I can't hear what the priest said to the man. Maybe the priests bishop saw this and might ask to see Father and have him explain what happened. If he just refused the man Holy Communion because he knelt and wanted to receive our Eucharistic Lord on the tongue, well discipline needs to be enforced. By the way not regarding this article. God sick this morning when could only watch 2 minutes of the Vortex... What in the heck is Voris thinking? Does he think that he is now the Enforcer of the Church and he is the Church's Alpha & Omega? Sorry for adding this, just thought people would like to see this circus that is coming out of "Gay Ferndale."

  6. I rarely go to CM these days. I can't stomach the horde of narcissists and their slanders against anyone who disagrees with their scandal agenda. They are the tabloid of Catholic media.

  7. Sorry for posting this Mary Ann... but your readers should see what's going on over there if they do not know already... The Vortex is titled: Benedict XVI Legacy of the former pontiff... There were some things that I didn't agree with what John Paul II and Benedict XVI did, but they tried their best I believe. When the Smoke of Satan and now, Satan himself and his minions are in the Vatican it's hard to do battle... Like Malachi Martin said, the Vatican must be exorcised, by the Pontiff himself.. but that will only happen when a true Holy Father sits on the Chair of Peter. Thank you for posting my comments, I appreciate it very much. God bless you and wishing you and yours a Blessed and Healthy 2023.

  8. "Pavlov Tongue (hands)": There is also a concern in receiving the host in your hands that particles will fall to the ground/on your clothes etc. and be trampled on. N.O. is not concerned about this although they claim to still believe the "Holy" Eucharist is still the actual Body of Christ. They consecrate whole loaves of bread etc., pass them around in disposable plastic containers and when Hosts fall to the ground make no effort to purify the area but just pick up the Host and consume it. You should find out how left over wine (the Blood of Christ) is disposed of after 'holy mass' at your Church.

Family members of mine attended this "mass":

I have a close priest friend whose conversion to Tradition occurred in 1995 when, as a seminarian at Mt. St. Mary’s, he was forced (yes, forced) to distribute Holy Communion at John Paul II’s Mass at Camden Yard. He saw hosts in large clear plastic garbage bags “consecrated” hundreds of yards away from the altar. Afterward, he saw those same bags still full actually pitched into dumpsters along with hosts scattered in the stands. That was enough for him.
    https://www.praytellblog.com/index.php/2011/08/24/how-would-you-consecrate-1500000-hosts/

I attended this "mass" as an usher though I was no-where near the actual mass:
When Bl. John Paul II celebrated Holy Mass on the National Mall in Washington, DC, when he visited the United States in October 1979, the thousands of leftover consecrated Hosts were gathered up and carted off in plastic trash bags. A priest in attendance at the time has verified this.

I wondered how many years of penance I would have to do if I wanted to dedicate one day of penance for each of the hosts that had been desecrated at the masses I have attended not by 'the enemies' of Christ but by my PRIESTS/Shepherds who are supposedly leading me to heaven and just determined it is the rest of my life. Many wonder at the 'scourges' that are befalling the western world, but never think that it is a direct result of the Roman Catholic Church, the Bride of Christ, dishonoring the greatest gift God ever gave us.

  9. With regard to Church Militant, I do not oppose exposing scandals. Actually, a handful of friends and I started Les Femmes as a watchdog group in our diocese to suppress scandals by lifting the rocks and watching the creepy-crawlies run for cover. But we never "rejoiced in evil" which is exactly what CM does. They seem to absolutely love having one more scandal and one more naive and attention-loving "whistleblower" to feature. There are other Catholic groups and bloggers who expose the evils, but do it in a spirit of charity. There is no charity at CM only chortling over the evils they expose as though it's a gotcha game.
