Is God Trying to Get Our Attention?

I received an email from Fr. Tom Collins which sent me on a search about coronal ejection masses and what they can do? I'll post Father's email at the end. 

First, a definition. A coronal mass ejection according to Britannica is:

a large eruption of magnetized plasma from the Sun’s outer atmosphere, or corona, that propagates outward into interplanetary space. The CME is one of the main transient features of the Sun. Although it is known to be formed by explosive reconfigurations of solar magnetic fields through the process of magnetic reconnection, its exact formation mechanism is not yet understood.

Fast CMEs drive interplanetary shocks in the solar wind and cause the most intense geomagnetic storms on Earth. The main drivers of space weather, geomagnetic storms are disturbances in Earth’s magnetosphere that can have significant impact on both ground- and space-based technological systems. Their formation process, three-dimensional structure, evolution as they propagate through interplanetary space, relationship with solar flares, and impact on Earth’s space environment are important areas of solar and space physics research.

The most recent event was in early December, but most people, unless they are space/science followers, wouldn't even notice. A bigger one happened in November. Did anyone notice That besides the scientists? I sure didn't. But one flare in 1859, The Carrington Event had a huge impact:

This event was so fierce that it caused telegraph systems across Europe and North America to spark, catch fire, and even shock operators. According to the National Academy of Sciences, if a similar storm happened today, the cost could reach trillions of dollars due to our dependence on electricity and technology. The skies lit up with auroras as far south as Cuba and Hawaii, dazzling witnesses and frightening many. The storm’s magnetic force was strong enough to send electrical surges through long-distance wires, a phenomenon that barely scratched the surface of what could happen to our modern grid. The Carrington Event serves as a chilling reminder of just how vulnerable our civilization is to the power of the Sun. [Source]

A more recent warning of what could be in store for us happened in Canada in 1989:

One of the most dramatic reminders of solar storms’ power came in March 1989, when a solar storm caused the Hydro-Québec grid to collapse in just 90 seconds. Six million people across the Canadian province were suddenly without electricity, their homes dark and cold for up to nine hours. The storm overloaded transformers and caused protective systems to trip, creating a domino effect throughout the regional grid. For many people, it felt like the world had stopped—schools and businesses closed, emergency services scrambled, and daily life ground to a halt. This blackout was not caused by a technical glitch or weather on Earth, but by a blast of energy from the Sun. The 1989 blackout is a stark example of how even a moderate solar storm can disrupt modern life on a massive scale, hinting at what a stronger event could do. [Source]

 After the flood God placed the rainbow in the sky as a promise not to destroy mankind again by flood. But he hasn't said a word about the chastisement for our infidelity which is much worse than any time in history. At Fatima Mary warned that mankind needed to stop sinning or a worse war would come. Where are we now? Not only have we murdered millions upon millions of unborn babies, but we have mutilated and abused millions more. For many reason and truth no longer exist. COVID was certainly a chastisement, as much from the reaction to it than from the disease itself. How many died needlessly because of murderous protocols and the suppression of effective treatment. 

Father Collins's linking of the solar events to the terrifying apparition of the sun plunging toward the earth, may very well be a clue to what heaven has in store for us if we don't repent. I sometimes think the only reason we haven't been destroyed is because of those praying the daily rosary and those pleading with the Lord at Eucharistic adoration as well as attending Mass faithfully and with devotion. 

Here's Fr. Tom's message. Let us take it seriously and commit ourselves even more faithfully to the Blessed Mother's peace plan from heaven.

THE WARNINGS OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA by Fr. Tom Collins

In 1917, the warnings of Our Blessed Mother at Fatima were confirmed by the Miracle of the Sun, witnessed by thousands - including numerous cynical atheists. The miracle seemed to have indicated that the chastisements for humanity's refusal to take seriously the call to authentic repentance would be initiated through the sun. Recently, the earth has been directly hit not by one, but by several coronal ejection masses from the sun. Following the equation for the probability of one such direct hit (roughly 22/7x 4 x 93,000,000 x 93,000,000 [earth's distance from the sun] divided by 10,000 [earth's full diameter] ), the odds of only one direct hit on the earth is extremely small. The odds of several successive direct hits is even greater - like hitting a Mega million jackpot several times in a row. Considering that these hits are triggering major natural disaster around the world, one wonders whether this is just an interesting coincidence or a divine warning being traumatically fulfilled due to sinful human intransigence.

One strange irony should also be noted. For over half a century, powerful forces have seduced billions to embrace as valid a woman's absolute right to choose to abort her baby - some even contending that a baby that survives an abortion should not be given any life-sustaining care. Based on these premises, should they not also support a corresponding "right" of Mother Earth to choose to abort, through natural disasters, whole communities dependent upon her for security and sustenance? Would we, if we assist pro-abortion survivors of such disasters, be violating their consciences and conviction that any who survive an abortion should be denied life-sustaining assistance?

I pray that, through the gracious and compassionate prayers of Our Blessed Mother, all people, rejecting the callous perverted premises guiding secular society, may soon become humbly and contritely receptive to the grace of life-giving repentance!
