At this point, I'm inclined to think the war in Iran was a mistake. I don't think Trump is a warmonger, but he is surrounded by many advisers who are. How this will all play out only God knows. I'm praying the rosary for peace and begging the intercession of St. Joseph and all the Legion of Angels, especially St. Michael. I'm especially praying for all the men and women put in harm's way that we will see no more angel families suffering the ravages of war.

Just War Theory from the Prayerful Posse: The Bishops Miss the Mark

As the powerful, godless ‘movers and shakers’ of this world rage against one another, humanity, nature, and nations are groaning from the pangs of ‘SIN.’
ReplyDeletePope Pius XII in his Christmas message of 1948 said: “Every war of aggression…..is a sin, a crime, an offense against the majesty of God, the Creator and Governor of the world.”
John XXIII, wrote in his encyclical ‘Pacem in Terris’; In this age which boasts of atomic power, it no longer makes sense to maintain that war is a fit instrument with which to repair the violations of justice.”
And if the war is ‘unjust’, there’s yet one more monstrous evil of colossal proportions, for which ‘men’ must give account: “Woe to you, ungodly men, who have forsaken the law of the Most High Lord.” (Ecclus. 41:11)
“Tribulation and anguish upon every soul of man that worketh evil……” (Rom. 2:8)
“May the Heavenly Light illuminate the minds of those who have in their hands the destinies of peoples; may they realize that just as peace is the work of wisdom and justice, so war is the fruit of blindness and hatred; let them consider that one day they must render account not only to history but to God’s eternal judgment.” (Pius XII -Anni Sacri, March 12, 1950).
