Sunday Meditation: On Living in a Mad, Mad World that Desperately Needs the Truth!

Catch sinners with the golden goose of truth.

For behold, the days shall come, wherein they will say: Blessed are the barren, and the 
wombs that have not borne, and the paps that have not given suck. [Luke 23:29]

Well....I'm back from retreat, back to the real world that has become an exaggerated version of the Twilight Zone.

I could say I'm back to the real bizzaro world where Bruce Jenner wants to adopt a baby so he can pretend to be a mommy and women who can be mommies are getting sterilized because they're mad about Roe v. Wade being overturned. It's a head shaker, but on the bright side, a sterilized liberal won't scandalize a poor, innocent child.

Some grammarian will no doubt tell me I'm wrong to use the word "mad" and say the women are "angry." But I use that word "mad" very deliberately. We are living in a mad, i.e. insane, world.

There is an old Hindu story about three men, who made a long hazardous pilgrimage to the legendary Cave of Truth. When they arrived there, they saw an elderly gaunt monk sitting in front of the cave. He raised his deep-set eyes to look intently at the men and asked them, “What do you want?”.

If this article were titled, “The Intellectual Benefits of Liberalism” the following page would be blank because only those living on the “Mainland” of reality, seeing through the light of Truth, understand that the message of nothingness in reference to denial of God and the Truth is the foundation of liberalism like so much pixie dust sprinkled in the mind by that malicious liberal fairy, Tinker Bell.

With that said, our story begins: Once upon a time liberals assumed that the origin of their error originated from Locke, Hobbes, Voltaire, Marx and Engles or Lenin but in reality it was invented by Tinker Bell. When parents read J.M. Barrie’s fantasy novel Peter Pan and Wendy to them as malleable children, Tinker Bell’s personality (ill-tempered), freedom of flight (neglect of reality), charm (spoiled), and temperament (vindictive and jealous) were deeply absorbed into their psyches until they, unlike Peter Pan, grew up and became woke liberals. Instead of Peter Pan’s Lost Boys, woke liberals are the 2nd Lost Generation living in a magical fantasy world of their own personal make-believe island (their world view) of Never Never Land.

Into the Silence

I scheduled this post on Monday before I left on my annual five-day silent Ignatian retreat with  Fr. James Buckley of the FSSP. One of the convenient features of blogger is to be able to arrange posts to publish later. And that's what I normally do before I go on retreat. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to schedule any posts except for Part 2 of the Church Militant story, so I'm just leaving this notice. 

I'm on retreat. I won't be publishing any posts or moderating comments. 

So if Susan doesn't post anything, we'll be on silence until I return on Saturday.

This is a totally silent retreat: no screen time, no phones, nothing but an opportunity to encounter the Lord. Just thinking about it fills me with peace. There are always plenty of challenges and this year has been no different. I will be placing all things before the Lord: the good, the bad, and the ugly. 

And listening....... or at least trying to listen. Sometime the interior chatter is worse than the world's noise.

I'll be praying for all our members and visitors to the blog. Many of you are a great consolation to me and I thank God for you.

Please pray for me as well. May God bless us all and pour out His saving grace on our poor world.

To continue yesterday's story...

Augustine Inferrera, Church Militant's whistleblower, did experience two episodes where a monk supervising the building project, Brother Joseph, lost his temper with the young man and physically assaulted him. The brother was charged with simple assault and had to go to court where he pled guilty and expressed his regret. There were no injuries although Augustine reiterates over and over how "violent" Bother Joseph is (a regular Jack the Ripper) and essentially demanded his expulsion. Augustine claims there was no provocation, but we only hear his side of the story. Apparently there were witnesses. What did they say about the events? Did anyone have to physically pull the mad monk off Augustine?

This episode of The Flashlight will discuss Church Militant (CM) and their two videos, Counterfeit Carmel (CC) and Behind the Spotlight (BS) that target the Wyoming Carmelites as a "scam" hiding what is really a ring of homosexual perverts grooming young novices for abuse in the mountains of Wyoming.

Since the airing of these two hit pieces, push back is coming from former novices who, unlike CM's whistleblower, (He was at the monastery for LESS THAN A MONTH.) spent a combined total of over SEVEN YEARS with the monks some of it overlapping the whistleblower's time there. You can see three of their videos in my earlier post. A fourth former novice of the Wyoming Carmelites has now joined his brothers to defend the monks against Church Militant's vicious accusations.

Tools of the Trade

Susan and I have been chatting lately about starting our own little series called The 
Flashlight. 

Why the flashlight? 

Well, first of all, we can't afford a spotlight. We don't have a green room or whatever they call that green screen that can be used to put up any background. We don't have fancy cameras and videographers to create Hollywood style programming. We're just a couple of women with a blog.

While we lack fancy equipment, we do have pencils, keyboards, and .... flashlights! I even have a cute little lantern I got at an anniversary party that provides the Biblical equivalent of the little bowl of oil with a wick that lights about one step.
