On Sunday, August 21st I sent to our mailing list an email about how Catholic kids lose belief in God because the Catholic education establishment has essentially incorporated theories of origins such as cosmic and biological evolution that are incompatible with Catholic doctrine. As an example I cited Bishop Robert Barron's incoherent belief that accepts the speculations of atheists as scientific facts but "baptizes" them by saying that "God did it." These "theistic evolutionists" are vague about what exactly God did and when He did it. I quoted the question posed by Fr. Michael Chaberek in his book Aquinas and Evolution. He asked how it happened that at the beginning of the 20th century evolution theories were rejected by Popes and Vatican Congregations and at the end of the 20th century, although neither the evolution theory or Catholic doctrine had changed, evolution theory had become at the education level, a mainstream Catholic teaching. One reaction I got to last Sunday's email came from a person on this mailing list who understands the problem:

Here's what CM says about their latest "whistleblower" who is affirming Augustine Inferrara's story without having any personal knowledge or experience with the Wyoming Carmelites or even, apparently, with Augustine. I used regularly to read the blog of a Catholic which I found interesting and often thought-provoking. Ultimately, however, there came a parting of the ways. I stopped visiting because he closed his eyes to every scandalous thing the pope did defending what was indefensible. More and more he and those who commented on his blog condemned Catholics for defending the faith against Francis's very un-Catholic behavior: his promotion of abortion, sodomy, etc., his reverencing Pachamama and the circle spirits, his syncretism that leads others to think all religions are the same. None of this is Catholic and to point that out is to defend the faith and protect those being led into sin by the scandal. 

Do You Listen to Gossip, Slander, and Detraction: Learn a Lesson from Socrates!

I receive a daily devotional from the SSPX. The other day this fascinating meditation and story about Socrates gave me an intriguing insight into the need to close our ears to gossip, slander, and detraction. When we "listen," we become guilty of the same sin as the tale-bearer. 

What a life's ambition Socrates had -- to pursue truth and encourage others to join him. Imagine the difference we would see in our culture if knowing and spreading truth were the central goal of every man and woman on the planet. 

Consider...God is Truth, so if you are searching for truth, you are searching for God. I once said that to an abortion supporter named Dan at an Operation Rescue event in Washington, D.C. I told him that he seemed to me to be a young man searching for the truth and, if you are searching for truth, you are searching for God. That happened over 30 years ago and I still pray for Dan today. I hope he is pursuing truth and has found it in Jesus Christ.

DESIDERIO DESIDERAVI: On Baptism -- Beautiful Words

In my previous post on Desiderio Desideravi, the pope's latest missive, I described the cognitive dissonance of his work. He often says good things but, as my mom always said, "Actions speak louder than words." Sad to say, this pope's actions often directly oppose his words, which throws the faithful into confusion. Do I listen to the pope? He said abortion is bad and then honored an Italian abortionist? He talks about the value of life, but turned the Vatican Pontifical Academy for Life into a group harboring radical pro-abortion and pro-euthanasia advocates. What gives?

Well...as I've said before, Francis speaks with a forked tongue. The examples that illustrate it could fill an encyclopedia. 

When one sees grey clouds forming and hears thunder, he knows what's coming. The Francis Effect of cognitive dissonance blows the warning trumpet. You cannot trust this man; he uses the truth to advance the lie. That, friends is the classic modus operandi of evil. Administer the poison by disguising it in honey. "For the lips of the adulterous woman drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil." (Prov 5:3) That proverb could just as easily be used to describe "adultery" (idolatry) against God who brooks no strange gods before Him.

What does the decadent West have to offer the rest of the world? Abortion? Sodomy? Drag Queens? Transgender studies? In our private lives we can block out cultural decadence but each time we simply go to the grocery store or shop at the mall we're inundated with current Western "values". It's in our face everywhere from ripped jeans (jeans so ripped that it looks like the girl is wrapped in bare threads) to girls wearing shorts so short that the lower part of their buttocks shows.

One clothing store at the mall had large Marc Jacobs posters with a pregnant transgender man in a bikini and a transgender woman wearing a silver shift holding up a pink bottle of perfume. The posters were placed in the middle of a main aisle so that every person entering and exiting the store had to see them, including children.

The Catfight and Paranoid Accusation

This is the continuation of yesterdays' post with an explanation HERE.

Note: I should have explained yesterday that the authors at the website and the website itself are immensely famous literally across the planet. The two men on the podcast also are famous - or at least very well known. The website is one where I had formerly given great respect to these people because of their experience and status. But no more because how can they defend Nazi terrorism? How can they turn a blind eye to factual events...being so "in the know" and all?  Why do they have such visceral hatred for Russia?

(Her name) is deluded by believing the Western media controlled by the Deep State and its agenda. But that aside, even if it were true – which it isn’t – why the complaint that Russia is getting weapons from the Iranian Mullahs when the Ukraine has gotten all-l-l-l its weapons from the Collective West? What’s the difference?

None, because if one side can get weapons from several countries, why cannot the other side get weapons from some other countries? What (her name) is saying is that it’s OK for the Ukraine to do something but not for Russia to do the same. Unbalanced reasoning on (her name)'s part.

But then (her name) must love Nazis because of what I mentioned above about Ukraine and the Nazi Bandera to which (her name) remains silent.

The Ukraine/Russia Debate Before the Catfight

For the past 10 days I've been posting comments on a well known website "debating" with a person who comments on nearly all that site's articles mirroring their point of view. This person might be one of the authors or one of their spouses, an employee or one of their spouses. I have no idea who this person is, however she's obviously someone approved by the website's ownership. 

Since the person thought I was a man because of my comment name she revealed that she's a woman, 5'1", age 62 and has a bad knee. Wanting to even the playing field (woman to woman, because for some reason this person thought the proverbial battlefield to be real) I revealed that I'm also a woman, my age and height and that I'm in perfect health. She then accused me of threatening to kill her!
