I LOVE TUCKER CARLSON!

"If you don't like the direction of the country, have more children!"

Wow! Tucker Carlson is a Catholic [Oops...no he's not. He's a reluctant Episcopalian. Thanks for all those who corrected my mistake. Now let's pray him into the Church!] and this interview shows he is the real deal, i.e., a man of integrity. Not perfect; nobody is. But he is interested in having "an honest conversation." He has a humility that is refreshing in a journalist. "I'm not a super clever persons; I try to keep it simple." He appears to really want to pursue the truth. I love the man! I don't watch TV much, but if I'm watching a news show, you can bet it will be Tucker Carlson Tonight. Today I'm offering my Mass and rosary for him.

Think I'll make this "Tucker week."

  1. Are you sure he is Catholic? Last check he was Episcopalian...would be great if he converted!!

  2. I agree...He really is an exceptional journalist, in the midst of so many who are mediocrity personified. I pretty well watch him daily for his common sense response to many of today's ills. I didn't know he was Catholic?

  3. I like the guy too, but I've heard him identify as an Episcopalian.

  4. I like the guy too, but I've heard him identify as an Episcopalian, but I see your point.

  5. Yes, Tucker is right: change the world, have more kids.

  6. Actually, Carlson says he is an Episcopalian. That said, he is my favorite newsperson, and his is the only show I watch routinely. And I really like his regular guests.

  7. I like Tucker, too.

Let's both offer up a Mass for him and especially his conversion, because last I checked, Tucker isn't Catholic, he's an Episcopalian. Yeah, an Episcopalian, and not too thrilled with it. IIRC he married the daughter of an Episcopalian priest and has been stuck there ever since.

  8. I am a radical counter-culture warrior. 8 kids. 6 adopted after the age of 45.

What transformed me from a Protestant Christian to an all-in, practicing Catholic was the application of the Culture Of Life in a meaningful, sacrificial way. I am always open to life biologically. And I am also open through adoption, as the opportunity arises and faith directs. Knowledge of sin made me Catholic. Knowledge of how to be godly is making me a good Catholic.

In public, people can see that not only is this big family thing not as hard as they thought, having a barrel full of special needs kiddos, it's actually rousing good fun. Perhaps it inspires some to think about the possibilities.

I can think of nothing more faithful to Christ, these sex-drenched, contraceptive days than having many snot nosed crying and laughing children; life oozing out of our crazy loud 16 passenger high ceiling van.

(btw): If you wish to see my wife's adoption advocacy web site, private e-mail me. She has quite the following. A practical place for moms, dads and wannabes to share. All because we are Catholics now, soldiers in the cause of life.

  10. Mary Ann: I too love Tucker Carlson, a man of principle I am sure. However, he is not (sadly) Catholic, but rather, Episcopalian. That can change, though. I keep him in my prayers.

  11. Sorry, Carlson is not a Catholic, he is an Episcopalian.

  12. Better a good Episcopalian than a lousy Catholic. Tucker is a better spokesman for Orthodox Catholic morality than Pope Francis.

  13. I agree, Michael, but (presuming you are Catholic) don't you want everyone to have the blessing of the Eucharist? I go to daily Mass not because I'm holy but because I NEED that daily bread to keep me going

Tucker criticizes the doctrines of the Episcopal church on gay "marriage" and abortion and says he doesn't change because of inertia. But he's well aware of the political correctness of the Church he belongs to.

  14. Mary Ann. I'm a Catholic and go to daily Mass, too. It would be great if Tucker would become a Catholic someday but I imagine he is put off by modernist Catholic hierarchy--as we all are.

  15. I couldn't agree more, Michael. That's the perfect time to tell folks "Jump in; the water's awful." We have so many bishops doing all they can to turn the wine back into water, polluted water at that. Still, we fight and never run from the field. May God give us all the grace to persevere.
