This happened at the Chicago "No Kings" rally, Wilbur Wright Adult Education manager, Moises Puentes, incited violence against ICE agents calling for their murder. Is this protected by the second amendment guarantee of free speech?
No, it's not!
The protection of free speech is not absolute under the constitution. The Supreme Court has established a limited number of unprotected speech categories. They include these:
Defamation
Fighting words
True threats
Obscenity
Child Pornography
Inciting speech
Fraud
The mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson, also took the violent rhetoric to a shocking new level of incitement.
If we are "at war" then killing "the enemy" is justified. The irony of the mayor speaking against "the rich" is that the rallies were funded by Indivisible, a George Soros linked organization, as well as by other billionaires. [Source] The hypocrisy is staggering!
As for Johnson's message, it's frightening "Are you ready to take it [the violence] to the streets?" asked the mayor to huge acclamation. "We will tear down tyranny." What, exactly, is this man calling for? Civil war actually, which he says explicitly. And with whom are they at war? Anyone who is identified as MAGA. If you voted for or support any aspect of the Trump administration efforts, you are the enemy. So why should we be surprised when children are murdered at prayer and Charlie Kirk is murdered for engaging in dialogue with people who disagree with him? No wonder so many churches are being burned and vandalized, especially Christian churches. We are the enemy and deserve death by those who claim to be "defending democracy." It's beginning to look like the French Revolution's reign of terror.
Were you surprised this week when the FBI found a hunting stand in a tree near the airport where President Trump de-planes from Airforce 1 with a siteline that would allow a clear shot at the president? I wasn't. I think we will see more assassination attempts against the president and I urge readers to pray the rosary for his protection. Even if you disagree with his positions and voted against him, you should fear the escalation of political violence.
People like Puentes and Johnson are the real threat to democracy. If Johnson and Pritzker did their jobs there would be no ICE agents in Chicago. They and their liberal cohorts are the reason our cities are under siege.
The answer to all this is conversion and spiritual revival. Pray the rosary for peace and refuse to return hate for hate. Love your enemy is the answer to every conflict. Return good for evil. Love conquers in the end even if you have to go through Good Friday to get to Easter Sunday.
