Out of the Mouths of Babes: Alexander's Letter to President Obama

National Right to Life ran a letter the other day from a 7-year-old asking the president to protect the babies! Why don't you consider following this little boy's example today. Write the president a letter. Just imagine if every pro-lifer in the country wrote to him and said a prayer for his conversion. Who knows what good might come of it? Here's the address:

President Barack Obama,
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

And here's Alexander's letter exactly as he wrote it:

With Little Children Like These as God's Little Drummers....

...there is nothing to fear. Remember the song from the 1950 Eucharistic Congress  - "An army of youth flying the standard of truth, we are fighting for Christ the Lord. Heads lifted high, Catholic action our cry and the the cross our only sword....."  (I can sing this, but I'd sure like to find it being sung on the internet. If you find a link please post it in the comments. What a great battle song!)

Babies May Be Smarter Than Some Bishops

Researchers have found that babies as young as six months have a well-developed moral sense. They prefer good and helpful characters to those who are mean or unhelpful. And they also prefer characters that reward good and punish evil rather than those who reward evil. Sounds like these little ones would make better bishops than many of the ones we have now who rewarded child abusers and think the way to solve the immigration problem is to welcome the lawbreaking strangers and give them houses, jobs, and money -- not their houses, jobs, or money mind you but those of the people in the pews.

Read the article here and marvel at your babies. They're smarter than you think. They're wired with the natural law and they are still innocent enough to act on it. The bishops should pay attention and imitate. Maybe that's the reason the Bible says, "A little child shall lead them."
