The Empire Strikes Back at AB Cordileone, Or Should I Say THE EMPRESS Strikes Back!

Nancy Pelosi is responding to her spiritual father, Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, with her usual claim of being a "devout Catholic" who simply disagrees with his personal opinions regarding Catholic teaching. Like all dishonest and dissenting Catholics, she twists the meaning of conscience and free will. Hey, she claims, God gave us free will so we could make "responsible" decisions about whether or not to limit our families by killing babies that God sends. In her interview with MSNBC Nancy reminds me of Margaret Sanger who always posed as a caring person while she worked in the background to eliminate the "human weeds" among us: blacks, Catholics, the poor, etc.

Pelosi shakes her fist at God about abortion and other Catholic doctrines and makes it pretty clear whom she serves. Hint: It isn't the Lord of Life!

Archbishop Cordileone Is Greeted Like a Rock Star

While his enemies, like the Queen of Hearts, call "off with his head," Archbishop Cordileone's supporters gathered at a family picnic recently to celebrate his strong leadership and courage.

Hundreds Attend Picnic

Despite the overcast day, hundreds came out to greet the archbishop, receive his blessing, ask for his autograph, and have him bless their rosaries. San Francisco Catholics organized the event that drew people not only from the archdiocese but as far away as southern California.

Pray for Archbishop Cordileone who is among the few and the brave in the hierarchy. If there were a Church special battalion, he would be its commandant.

Thank you, Archbishop Cordileone, for your faithful leadership and thank you, San Francisco Catholics, for organizing the support event. Where the shepherd is, the sheep will gather.

The Enemies of Archbishop Cordileone Raise the Stakes with Open Letter to Pope Francis

San Francisco dissenters have raised the stakes in the attack on Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone with an open letter to Pope Francis in the San Francisco Chronicle. One of their beefs is his support for Star of the Sea pastor, Fr. Joseph Illo. One of the signers of the ad admitted he didn't contribute to its cost and doesn't know who paid for it. (Source.) It would be interesting to be able to follow the money on this highly orchestrated attack on the Archbishop.

One strategy of these dissenters is to link the archbishop with the Star of the Sea flap over Fr. Joseph Illo's decision to have only boys serve at the altar which is a legitimate prerogative of a pastor. The dishonesty in the portrayal of his action as a tragedy and unmitigated disaster illustrates the lengths to which liberals are willing to go in advancing their agenda.

Big Money and Bad Catholics Behind the Attack on Archbishop Cordileone

What’s Behind Pelosi’s Attack on Archbishop Cordileone?

Most homeowners don't need to worry about the termites a mile away, but when your own house is infested, well, that's a different story. Our Church is under invasion with dissenters and heretics backed by big money from anti-Catholics undermining the foundation. The sad thing is that the shepherds, those responsible to defend the sheep from the wolves, are often the biggest enablers of the destruction. Instead of exercising pest control, they offer pest incentives. How many Catholic dissenters have stints with the USCCB or diocesan chanceries in their curriculum vitae? Pray for the bishops.

Bravo, Archbishop Cordileone! On the Other Hand, Who is He to Judge?

Hey people, our intellect is called the "seat of judgment." We are called to judge our own actions and the actions of others. Why? Because you can only learn to make right judgments by practicing right judgment. Duh! Parents MUST judge the actions of their children to teach them the "right way to go." The Ten Commandments is a list of judgments. So are Jesus' statements expanding the Ten Commandments when He said things like, "But I say to you, when a man looks at a woman with lust, he has already committed adultery in His heart." Yes, not only does Jesus judge actions, but the thoughts that precede them.

We may not judge the state of a person's soul. "Hey, Joe Blow is going to hell for shacking up with Fanny." But we can certainly say that Joe Blow's behavior is a serious scandal, and if we are friends with Joe and care about him, a little friendly admonishment is in order.

As a matter of fact, I was talking to a man while waiting for physical therapy the other day. He has a son by a failed marriage and a daughter by a girlfriend. He's got another girlfriend now, but hopefully is chaste. He told me he goes to Church. He misses his daughter and doesn't get to see her enough. We had a short conversation and I said he sounds like he's trying to be a good dad, and he really needs to decide to do things God's way from now on for the sake of his kids. I've got him and the children (and his former girlfriend and former wife and his daughter's half brother) on my prayer list now. So many people out there need a little judgment on their actions as a wake-up call. I hope you'll join me in praying for this very broken, very disordered "family" group. Think of all the confusion for those three poor children!

A big thank you to Archbishop Cordileone and may his next act be to inform his priests that those "obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to holy communion." (Canon 915)

Canon Lawyer Urges Archbishop Cordileone to Withhold Communion

Nancy Pelosi receiving Communion in Rome at the pope's installation where she is no cause celebre is understandable. She Is, after all, as Dr. Ed Peter's says America's problem, not Rome's. But isn't it time that someone cares enough about this obstinate public sinner to warn her -- for the sake of her own soul? Dr. Peters thinks so:
For her sake, therefore, and for those confused by the chronic scandal she gives, Pelosi needs to be formally warned against taking holy Communion for so long as she promotes, as consistent with our Catholic faith, a variety of gravely immoral policies (per cc. 916, 1339); ministers, meanwhile, in her environs need to be directed to withhold Communion from her till advised otherwise by the competent ecclesiastical authority (per c. 915). [i.e., that means Archbishop Cordileone in California and Cardinal Donald Wuerl in Washington, D.C.]
