Have We Forgotten Benghazi Already?

How many more Americans will be put in harm's way and abandoned by this administration? And how many of these feckless politicians will be rewarded for their irresponsible and, dare I say it, evil actions? Think of Hillary in line to run as next president. How would you like her being commander and chief if you were a Marine (or a Marine's mom) at an embassy in a hot spot? This administration has treated our military like cannon fodder to be used up and spit out. And as the body count rises, the world is less safe than ever!

Meanwhile we continue to meddle in affairs everywhere. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel recently said the world is exploding all over and promised that we'll be everywhere. He obviously knows nothing about history. Every country that has tried to fight on multiple fronts has crashed and burned. Look what happened to the U.K. We cannot be the world's policeman and we have no business meddling in the affairs of sovereign states where we have no interest. The GOP needs to shut up about Russia and the Ukraine. It is their civil war not ours and do we really want to escalate the conflict? Do we really want to resurrect the Cold War? I remember practicing air raids as a child. Please...let's not go there! This incompetent administration needs to be held accountable. For that matter, so do the hawks in the GOP. All the drum beating against Putin is dangerous. For one thing our wimp in the White House is no match for his Russian counterpart. Can anyone imagine Putin going to bed during a crisis so he'll be fresh as a daisy for a big fundraiser the next day?

We forget Benghazi at our peril -- especially the peril of our young men and women in the military.

Remember Watergate? Nobody was killed, but several folks went to jail. And Nixon's cover-up brought him down.

But with Benghazi it's a whole different story. An ambassador and three others killed while Obama et al played politics. The administration failed to take any action to help our people on the ground. They "created an environment of politics" and created a story to shore up the administration's irresponsible policies. They created out of whole cloth a ridiculous scenario about a video causing "protests" instead of what really happened, a planned terrorist attack.

And then the cover-up. Nobody's had to answer for the unnecessary deaths of our people. Nobody's had to answer for telling the military not to back up the courageous men who went to the embassy. Obama went to bed to prepare for his oh-so-important fundraiser in Vegas the next day while our men were in a life and death firefight expecting assistance. And Hillary Clinton, her reaction? "What does it matter now?" That wasn't the attitude the Democrats took over Watergate.

Isn't it time to treat Benghazi with the same zeal? Or is that kind of action OFR, only for Republicans. Where is the media in all this? Seems like their bias is showing by not addressing this with the same bulldog tenacity they use against Republican scandals.

Obama wouldn't allow any boat rocking that challenged his phony narrative that he gutted al-Qaeda. Hey it was the modern version of Neville Chamberlain's 1938 "peace in our time" speech -- right before Hitler started to invade countries right and left. Who says history doesn't repeat itself? 

Here are the astute comments from my email buddy, Gary Morella:

Well, it all depends on the meaning of crook, is, and cover up.

As for Benghazi, Obama's story is continually changing. The timeline shows that the administration was very reluctant to call it terrorism and were still blaming the stupid video for weeks after the attack. Here's the timeline according to Fox News:

• Sept. 11 - Benghazi attack 

• Sept 12 - Obama rose garden phrase condemning "acts of terror" but later says it's "too early" to  figure out what happened. 

• Sept 14 -  Press secretary Jay Carney denies it was a pre-planned attack. Hillary Clinton blames the internet video at a ceremony at Andrews Air Force Base. (Clinton's comments on the video begin around shortly after minute 16.) 

• Sept 16 - Susan Rice blames Benghazi on a "protest" relating to the video. 

• Sept 20 - Matt Olsen, director of the National Counterterrorism Center responds to a question in a Senate meeting and calls the attack "terrorism." However, he also continues the administration narrative that it was a spontaneous operation, not a pre-planned attack.

It's interesting that in the midst of the whistleblowers testifying on the hill, the IRS scandal hit as well. In view of the IRS targeting conservative groups, does anyone really believe anything this administration claims? And does anyone buy the story that it was IRS underlings who decided to target the conservative groups? I used to be a civil servant years ago and I just don't believe it. The whole scenario reminds me of Nixon's "enemies list." And remember Rahm Emmanuel and his dead fish comments or Obama's statement that if they bring a knife to the fight we bring a gun. This is a president who lies outright, drops facts down the memory hole, makes things up as he goes along, demonizes his opponents, and creates division whenever he opens his mouth.

Pray for the truth to come out about Benghazi. The families of the victims deserve it!

Who Changed the Talking Points on Benghazi?

Lies, lies, and more lies on Benghazi!

The CIA made it clear in the original "talking points" that they were dealing with terrorists in Benghazi. Who changed the talking points? It's almost impossible to believe that the situation room at the White House didn't see the original report from the CIA. After all, what comes first, the situation report or the talking points on the situation report? Remember, it was nighttime in Benghazi, but it was before the end of the work day in Washington, D.C. So they had to know exactly what was happening and somebody refused help to our besieged men THREE TIMES.
