USAID isn't the only government "welfare" organization targeted by the new administration. Catholic Charities (CC), a well-funded NGO, is also on the chopping block these days. No tears from me, that's for sure! I'll be happy to see them get the boot.

Monday Morning Musings on Modesty
![]() |
| Is Dad guarding your family? |
So many parents these days seem to consider Mass as no different from a day at the beach! Hey, you want to wear short shorts and a tank top to meet the Lor of the Universe?, No problem. But really, parents, modesty is the guardian of chastity. Do you care about your kids' souls?
Dymphna mentioned the responsibility of the mother and so did someone commenting on the post, and clearly, moms are the ones who generally go shopping with their kids, so the purchase of modest clothing falls squarely on Mom. She plays a major role in fostering the virtue of modesty.
But Mom is not, ultimately, the one who has the greatest responsibility to protect her children. DAD DOES! He is the guardian of the family!

Dymphna Explains the Latin Mass for You.
Never been to a Traditional Latin Mass and worry that you just won't get it? Put your mind at ease by reading Dymphna's explanation, and then why not check one out. If you love reverence and want to enter into a profound experience of silence in Communion with our God, you will be moved by the TLM. "Let us go into the altar of God, unto God who gives joy to my youth."

The Most Powerful (and shortest) Response to the Pope's Exhortation...
....is at Dymphna's blog. It brought tears to my eyes and a stab to my heart because I know some of these women. And then read this one. Thanks for your wisdom, Dymphna!

Dymphna and I Agree: Washing Women's Feet on Holy Thursday is a "Side Show!"
I love to read Dymphna's blog, especially her random thoughts posts. Today she offered random thoughts while she watches the snow. This one was especially on target:
"In parishes around the world, Holy Thursday has been a sad and sometimes sacrilegious side show for years. Now the side show is official."No doubt readers know to what she is referring, Pope Francis authorizing the washing of women's feet on Holy Thursday. Of course it's been going on for years with priests disobeying Holy Mother Church. The pope himself engaged in the disobedient practice in Argentina. So is it any wonder that he would now institutionalize the disobedience when he has the chance?

Common Sense from Dymphna on the Collapse of Marriage
My fellow blogger Dymphna wrote today about the origins of the marriage collapse. It began, not with the homosexuals, but with heterosexual abuse of marriage. The homosexuals are pushing an envelope that's already full of adultery, divorce, promiscuity, lustful thoughts, pornography and other abuses she doesn't mention like contraception. Read Dymphna's post for a healthy dose of common sense.

Resources for Blog Watchers
Thanks to fellow blogger Dymphna I've found a new resource, Traditional Latin Mass in MD, which I've linked at my local blogs list on the right. I've been browsing a little this morning and particularly enjoy the "roundup." I hope you enjoy visiting Dymphna's blog and the TLM-MD site. It's much more rewarding than Facebook!
