The time I was interviewed by a strange woman from Opus Dei

According to Opus Dei's website, membership in their organization "involves a commitment to receive spiritual formation from Opus Dei". My answer to that questionable process is that I'll do my own spiritual formation! thank you very much, and if I have questions, I'll ask a trusted priest.

Their website continues with the requirement to "participate in Opus Dei's mission." Again, my answer is that I have my own mission to carry out! I don't have time to do things for Opus Dei in any capacity. They can go take advantage of someone else to do things for them because I'm definitely not Opus Dei material.

Opus Dei says that "joining Opus Dei requires a supernatural vocation. It's a personal call from God to place one's whole life at His service." Who has time to do that for Opus Dei? (We're all called to put our whole lives at His service, not Opus Dei's.)

I had a personal supernatural vocation to be a mother to my children. It was the one time in my life that I knew what I was for. It was my supernatural calling to change their diapers, feed and bathe them, guard them from danger, take them to school, teach them about God. Who was going to do all that while I went around and worked for Opus Dei all the time?

It takes time to get used to the Latin Mass because it's unfamiliar. Most people have never experienced the seriousness and God-centered reverence and the profound silence of the traditional Latin Mass.

Well, maybe not the whole world, but just my own corner of it, but if all good people would follow my suggestion 

maybe we’d at least get rid of rap filth blaring through car speakers. How many times have we been at stoplights or in parking lots only to have a car roll up behind or beside us and suddenly we feel our cars vibrate as if an earthquake is happening? We hear the deafening boom boom of drums and revolting death, drug and sex related lyrics of filthy smut.

I finally decided that I’d had enough! I go to the local Goodwill and often see an electrician friend there. Actually he’s the father of my granddaughter’s best friend and I’ve met him several times at my daughter’s house so we’re practically family. Anyway, he and I occasionally bump into each other at Goodwill and ask if the other has found any “good finds” lately. One day I told him I needed advice…that I was looking for car speakers but didn’t know how they would be attached and that since my car is small I didn’t want giant speakers.

Yes, I respect these "Rad-Trads" who are so systematically ridiculed and dismissed by so many.

 Who are more faithful to the Church? Those who uphold the doctrine and tradition of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church throughout the ages, or those who endorse an "open and dynamic" church where all is relative and capable of change?

Pray for Fr. Michael Rodriguez, Another Persecuted Priest!

Blessed be the name of the Lord in both joy and sorrow.

Fr. Michael Rodriguez has been persecuted for several years, primarily because of his adherence to the Latin Mass, the Mass of the ages.

He is suspended from public ministry and is starting a sabbatical to discern his future. When you consider that ope;nly homosexual priests continue to serve in "good standing" the treatment of this priest is shocking...no...horrifying.

Rodriguez and, as a sacrifice for him, accept your sufferings as a grace from God that unites you more closely to Christ. "Look to the crucifix...and understand more deeply...what it means to suffer."  Amen!
