Sunday Meditation: Abortion: A Doctrine of Demons -- The New Documentary from Created Equal

Sidewalk counselors save babies!
Warning for the squeamish. There are graphic photos of aborted babies and scenes of abortion
violence against peaceful pro-lifers in the documentary below.

As a long-time sidewalk counselor and rescuer, the video hit very close to home. I recognized scenes like those depicted. On several occasions, I had conversations outside abortion facilities with new agers and others who self-described as atheists and satanists. Sometimes, the presence of demons was almost palpable especially when I was in jail with a large rescue contingent and at one of the women's marches in Washington, D.C.

The Growing Incivility (and Derangement) of Liberal Lawmakers Like Pete Buttigieg and Brian Sims

Brian Sims and Pete Buttigieg illustrate
Democrat Derangement Syndrome!
The virtue-signaling Democrats continually advise us how morally superior they are to the deplorably unwashed around the country. Some even spout religious sentiments telling us that God approves of their immoral behavior.  South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg has attacked  Vice President Mike Pence's faith in a clearly cynical and politically-motivated attempt to garner media attention (and money). Hopefully the strategy will backfire.

Interestingly, gay U.S. ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell took him to the woodshed saying:
“Mayor Peter has been pushing this hate hoax, along the lines of Jussie Smollett, for a very long time now, several weeks,” Grenell said in a recent interview on Fox News. “And I find it really ironic that Mayor Pete stayed silent about the so-called hate hoax on him and others during 2015, 2016, 2017 when Mike Pence was governor.”

Life Chain 2014 -- Abortion Kills Children!

Larry and I just came back from participating in our local Life Chain. We said three rosaries and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy during the 90 minutes. Our little town is pretty sensible -- most people still believe in motherhood and apple pie. We got mostly thumbs ups, waves and smiles, and friendly honks. I only noticed three negatives:

  • one young woman yelling, "I'm pro-choice." (Not for the babies, of course.)
  • one young guy, a teenager I think, with a friend who shouted, "My girlfriend had two abortions this week!" (smart aleck!)
  • and one middle aged guy with a beard who shouted, "You're fascists; I hope you go to hell!" (I prayed a decade of the rosary for him and wondered if he paid to get a girlfriend an abortion.)
I'm never sorry to get negative reactions. It may indicate a conscience that isn't quite dead. If somebody can just shrug and move on without being affected at all...well...that response may mean someone's in the devil's pocket already.

So please pray for everyone exposed to Life Chains across the country today. No doubt babies will be saved. Some woman will be asking God for a sign and down the street she will drive and be greeted by dozens of signs including one I was holding -- Pregnant, need help? Call 800-395-HELP! Another woman (or her partner in the murder) may need healing and see Jesus Forgives and Heals. Everybody will be exposed to the truth that Abortion Kills Children. After all, no woman ever gave birth to a turnip.

Pro-Lifers Hold on in Wisconsin Recall Elections

Pro-aborts outspent pro-lifers two to one, but they still lost four of the six Republican recall elections on August 8th. And two strongly pro-abortion Democrats face recalls on Auguest 16, the day after Our Lady's Feast of the Assumption. Please begin a novena of rosaries today asking her intercession for the defeat of these death dealing politicians. Wisconsin Right to Life Pac has endorsed the two Republicans.

Pray and Fast to End Abortion - Pray the Rescue Rosary!

Today is designated as a day of prayer and fasting to end abortion. Let's all offer little sacrifices and extra prayers for an end to this horrible atrocity. I especially invite you to join in the "rescue rosary." When I was in jail in Buffalo during the Spring of Life in the early '90s, I met a fellow sidewalk counselor who had the idea of a rosary specifically to be prayed for all those involved at the killing centers. The rosary was even color-coded to remind the one praying of the intention for each decade.
First decade - Blessed Mother blue - to be prayed for the mothers who coming to the abortion mill to kill their children, that they will reconsider and have a true mother's heart toward the little ones in their wombs and accept the help so eagerly offered.

Second decade - gold, the color of treasure or white like the pearl of great price - to be prayed for the babies, God's great gift, that they might be saved and their mothers might welcome them as tiny treasures to enrich their families with God's love.

Third decade - red, the color of suffering - to be prayed for the pro-lifers present at the killing centers who risk arrest and persecution for trying to save God's precious little ones from death and their parents from lifelong suffering.

Fourth decade - dark blue - prayed for the "boys in blue," the police officers who are often put in the middle between life and death, called on to enforce evil laws that violate the right to life.

Fifth decade - black, the color of evil and death - prayed for all those in the abortion industry: abortionists, staff, "deathscorts," etc. that they might repent, leave the abortion business, and turn back to God.
The rescue rosary reminds us that abortion touches so many lives - not just the babies and their parents. Make the rescue rosary an integral part of your prayer to end the scourge of abortion.

40 Days for Life: Saving Babies Sometimes Two at a Time!

40 Days for Life is in full swing, praying and saving lives. In Birmingham, AL, the sidewalk warriors reported saving twins. Here's the report from the 40 Days Blog:
“It is a rare time to witness a save during the 40 Days for Life campaign,” wrote Judy in Birmingham, “but I was present for two saves simultaneously! Yes — TWINS!”

Prayer volunteers watched as a young woman, her boyfriend and her grandmother walked into Planned Parenthood. The grandmother seemed downright unfriendly. Judy said “she went inside for a half hour — and came out a totally transformed woman.

What happened during that half hour? “The prayer volunteers on the sidewalk prayed fervently for the woman’s granddaughter,” Judy said, “a very young woman determined to abort her babies. When she came out … she said that she had decided to keep her babies.”

The grandmother, who was standing beside her, said, “Yes, she’s having TWINS!”

“It was indeed a rare and joyful moment,” said Judy. “We all smiled and thanked God for His gift of life — in this case, GIFTS of life.
There's a 40 Days for Life near you. Jesus prayed for 40 days in the wilderness. Won't you join Him at an abortion mill near you for at least one day? Check out the locations at the website.

Think Life Chain and 40 Days for Life

This time of the year sees some important pro-life activities. Forty Days for Life begins September 22nd and goes through October 31st when sidewalk activists in 239 locations throughout the US, Canada, Australia, England, Northern Ireland and Denmark will engage in a concentrated 40 days of prayer and sacrifice while witnessing and sidewalk counselling at local abortion mills. Many locations have a continuous presence around the clock, while others have a modified schedule. The statistics from 40 Days for Life are impressive. Since it began in 2007:
•More than 350,000 have joined together in an historic display of unity to pray and fast for an end to abortion
•More than 11,500 church congregations have participated in the 40 Days for Life campaigns
•Reports document 2,811 lives that have been spared from abortion — and those are just the ones we know about
•35 abortion workers have quit their jobs and walked away from the abortion industry
•Six abortion facilities completely shut down following local 40 Days for Life campaigns
•Hundreds of women and men have been spared from the tragic effects of abortion, including a lifetime of regrets
•More than 850 news stories have been featured in newspapers, magazines, radio shows and TV programs from coast to coast ... and overseas
•Many people with past abortion experiences have stepped forward to begin post-abortion healing and recovery   (Data from the 40 Days for Life website.)
If there's a 40 Days for Life near you, why not plan to spend at least a few hours there during the campaign witnessing to the precious gift of life. Many amazing stories have been shared. Maybe you can be part of one.

Another activity taking place this fall is The Life Chain on October 3 from 2-3:30 p.m. Last year 1600 locations around the country and in Canada participated. In my own community of Woodstock, VA we are involved for the second year. Life Chain is a silent prayer witness. Participants stand quietly praying on the sidewalk holding signs that read Abortion Kills Children, Jesus Heals and Saves, Abortion Hurts Women, etc.  It's a non-confrontational way to influence the local community to confront the devastation of abortion. Think of a woman in a crisis pregnancy looking for a sign from God about her abortion and she drives down a street where hundreds of signs beseech her to choose life. Life Chain has stories to tell as well. One coordinator tells how she was discouraged at the small turnout in her town until a man stopped his car nearby, jumped out and ran over. He pointed to the baby in the car and said she was saved from abortion and thanked her for being there. Join the Life Chain. You will never know until Judgment Day the real value of your small sacrifice of time.
