AT THE DOOR OF THE CHURCH [The child or adult to be baptized is recognized as a catechumen -- not yet a full member of the Church. The sacrament begins outside the body of the Church since the one to be baptized is not yet a member. The explanations below explain it.]

Sunday Meditation: It All Starts with the Theological Virtues
Our catechism class this morning at the chapel was on the theological virtues: faith, hope, and charity. Every journey begins at the beginning and first step in the spiritual life is faith. This is how the ancient form of the Sacrament of Baptism begins (my comments in red):

Islam Produces a Darkened Intellect
![]() |
| L - Islamic Intellect; R - Christian Intellect |
Belief in Islam produces a darkened intellect. Islam does not reveal God and His infinite perfection. Christians “honor God by faith, which is of the mind, by hope, which is of the will, by love, which is of the heart; and thus the whole man is subjected to the Supreme Maker and Ruler of all things.” – Saint Pius X.
But Islam is the opposite because Allah is not God, the Maker and Ruler of all things. Allah is Satan, the Liar and Destroyer of all things, therefore Islam honors Lucifer by faith (in evil) which darkens the mind, by despair which leads the will to commit rash actions, by hatred which leads the heart to destruction of Truth, beauty and goodness.
Therefore a person inspired by Lucifer’s Islamic religion and taking up a knife and slitting another person’s throat or beheading journalists, raping children, pillaging, and destroying are all par for the course. They are all actions which are natural consequence of love of evil, death and destruction.

St Gabriel or "Gabriel"? One Was Sent by God; the Other Was Satan

"And therefore also the Holy which shall be born
of thee shall be called the Son of God."
Luke 1:35

| Appointment of the Prophet Muhammad through |
The Catholic Church teaches that St Gabriel the Archangel was sent by God to the Blessed Mother at the Annunciation. Islam teaches that "Gabriel the Archangel" was sent by God to Muhammad in the Cave at Hira.
Only one of the two angels in the two events was the genuine St Gabriel the Archangel. Only one of the two angels in the two events was sent by God. The genuine St Gabriel the Archangel can be in ONE event only. Most definitely he cannot be in both.

...and Muhammad is Lucifer's Prophet

2 Corinthians 11:13-15
13 For such false apostles are deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder: for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great surprise if Satan's servants masquerade as servants of righteousness.
NIV - masquerades as an angel of light
CIB - Even Satan changes himself to look like an angel of light

Guest Post: Exorcism Claim about Francis Prompts Vatican Investigation
| Jesus' temptation in the wilderness was real. |
The new head of the Jesuits, Fr Arturo Sosa Abascal, recently called the devil a symbol of evil. Later his spokesman said the comment was taken out of context and that Sosa "believes what the Church teaches." Well, maybe and maybe not. We have plenty of evidence that many Church leaders these days don't believe at all what the Church teaches. In any case, read this article on exorcism and think about what you believe about the Father of Lies. And remember that Jesus' public ministry was immediately preceded by his meeting the devil (no symbol) in the wilderness and being tempted. That is no fairy story, myth, or parable. And to prove it, immediately following the temptation, angels were sent to minister to Him. The devil is for real!

Know the Enemy And Make a Good Holy Week!
Pope Francis is talking about the devil again. It's obvious he's a believer in the corrupter of souls! And Holy Week is a good time to reflect on his evil designs. You can't resist an enemy if you don't recognize him, so learn to "discern the spirits" as St. John says, because the devil can appear as an angel of light.
The devil, a liar and murderer from the beginning, isn't going to present sin in its ugliness. You won't see him depicting sodomy as painting fesces on the wall or the consequences of adultery with devastated children acting out with drugs and alcohol. No, sex is for pleasure and however you want to engage in it is your "freedom of choice." Enjoy, it's pleasurable. Who can dare to judge you for just having fun? A broken-hearted spouse? Grieving parents? Scandalized children? Diseases? Forget about them. You have a right to be happy!
Well, the Holy Father has no illusions about the devil and here's what he tells us:
May this Holy Week bring us all closer to the Lord of Life who loves us enough to stretch out His arms on the cross and die to save us from eternal damnation. "Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine."

Some of you might say: ‘But Father, how old fashioned you are to speak about the devil in the 21st century!’ But look out because the devil is present! The devil is here… even in the 21st century! And we mustn’t be naïve, right? We must learn from the Gospel how to fight against Satan.Fight the enemy this week with the Eucharist, Confession, the rosary, Stations of the Cross, Scripture reading, prayer, and meditation. When you are most under attack, pray the St. Michael Prayer and repeat the powerful name of Jesus. "My Jesus I trust in You." Resist the devil and he will flee from you!
May this Holy Week bring us all closer to the Lord of Life who loves us enough to stretch out His arms on the cross and die to save us from eternal damnation. "Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine."
