An Open Letter to Ted Cruz: Stop Your Calumny Against Catholics!

I follow a writer on Substack, Radical Fidelity, whose posts are always informative and interesting. Recently Ted Cruz promoted a vicious anti-Catholic diatribe by a woman who calls herself Insurrection Barbie. I imagine she channels this babe:

I started to read her screed and decided it wasn't worth the time. Her accusations completely miss the target for the most part. It's like she's aiming her bow at the moon in the middle of the night calling it the sun. But hey, what can you expect from somebody who takes a brainless bimbo for her moniker?

Shining the Spotlight on the Media Where Liars Thrive and the Truth Suffers!

The mainstream drive-by media is, for the most part comatose and dying. The Pulitzer committee helped deliver assisted euthanasia in 2018 with its shared award to the Washington Post and New York Times for the 20-article scam-fantasy about Russiagate. Mostly based on anonymous sources, rumors, and innuendo from Trump-hating liberals, the articles lied and lied and lied again leaving wounded truth tellers in their wake like Michael Flynn. A 2022 article in the New York Post summarized the damage caused by the series:

Read more here  Can you imagine the outcry if they had gone after a Jewish or Muslim politician like this? Somehow Catholicism is always fair game -- especially when a politician is pro-life and supports traditional marriage. Pray that Mark Miloscia wins his race in Washington. They need a solid man of integrity in their state house.

Duh! NO....they might have the office of the president targeted by a pressure cooker bomb! But hey, it's "all in good fun" if it's mocking the pope! No need to address the bigotry and barbarianism of the student's action. The Catholic League is pointing out the university's double standard and duplicity. 

And how much does it cost to attend this bastion of civility? One of our sons got his Masters at this poor excuse for a university. I will urge him never to give a penny to their alumni fundraisers!

More Storm Clouds of Persecution Gather

My parents talked about the want ads they saw growing up saying, "Irish need not apply." And of course the history of Jim Crow laws and segregation is a well-known part of our history. But if you think persecution and civil rights violations have disappeared, reflect on the increasing discrimination against people of faith who refuse to bow to the immoral spirit of the age. Employment doors, more and more are slamming in the face of Catholics and other Christians who refuse to cooperate with intrinsic evil. The latest "Catholics need not apply" assault is in the state of of Maine. In November the state approved same-sex "marriage" and is mandating that notary republics who perform marriages may not refuse to perform same-sex ceremonies for any reason. According to LifeSiteNews:

any notary public who performs marriages may not refuse to perform a same-sex “marriage” for any reason, upon pain of being charged with a human rights violation, according to Maine’s secretary of state.

Busy Bigot Democrats Bash Catholics in Minnesota!

Not just Catholics, but specifically Catholic priests as you can see from the photo at left. The priest's button reads "Ignore the Poor." Can you imagine the uproar if a group of Republicans sent out a postcard attacking rabbis in yarmulkas and prayer shawls? Or Muslim imams in turbans? The liberal media would be frothing at the mouth with indignation. As for the button, the Catholic Church gives more money to the poor than any other denomination. This is nothing but a disgraceful slur on both Catholic priests and Catholic laity. In fact, it looks like hate speech to me.

But apparently the post card bigotry hasn't aroused even a whisper in the mainstream media. A google search on the issue didn't provide one secular outlet in Minnesota or anywhere else about the bigoted campaign. But there were plenty of articles criticizing Archbishop Nienstedt's refusing Communion to homosexual activists. Interesting, eh?

Martha Coakley's an anti-Catholic bigot!

Did you hear what anti-Catholic bigot Martha Coakley said about Catholics? When she was asked on a radio talk show about the conscience rights of Catholic health workers who refuse to prescribe the morning after pill what do you think she said?

“You can have religious freedom, but you probably shouldn’t work in the emergency room.”

Take that, you Catholics. Get to the back of the bus!

Now, if you're Muslim, you get special treatment. If you're gay and have AIDS no problem working in the emergency room. But a Catholic who refuses to kill babies? Go back to the ghetto!
