We Must Pray with Increased Fervor for Our Poor Country. Let Us Call on the Mother of Mercy.

As we celebrate this Feast of the Epiphany when the wise men came seeking the King of Kings, our country is at a crossroads. The liars and cheaters, the enemies of Christ, seem to be in ascendence. The wolves are among us ravaging the flock. Let us pray for all those going to Washington, D.C. today with patriots' hearts to defend the integrity of our election system. 

All seems lost, but with God, all things are possible. Let us beg Mary's intercession for the land we love and for our children and grandchildren who will face her collapse and live among the ruins.

People love stories. Jesus told stories, Can you imagine the laughter from the poor in the audience when Jesus said it's easier for a camel to get through the needle's eye than for the rich man to get to heaven? I can just see people turning to each other, nodding, and giving the elbow nudge.
