The mainstream media is having their usual hissy-fit over the firing of Vice Admiral Shoshana  Chatfield a few days ago. Most of the articles by the drive-bys don't discuss the reason. It took the alternative media to display the situation. This from [Your]News:

Editor's Note: Really? The military abused all those members and now they want them back? No apology, no back pay? And for the privilege of returning you can be cannon fodder in their endless wars! My dad was career Navy and left the service as a Rear Admiral. He refused to retire. He said he never quit a job in his life. I think if he were alive today he would not be encouraging young people to go into any of the services. Check out the abuse these soldiers experienced for refusing to take the death shot. Many had to pay back their signing bonuses. And now the Biden Administration is saying pretty please come back. Anyone who does that needs their head examined.

The US Army this month sent letters to almost 2,000 former service members who were discharged for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine urging them to come back.

One More Choice Thrown on the Ash Heap

Think about it. Military in harms way have plenty of reason to pray. As they say, there are no atheists in a foxhole. And don't you think it might actually be a comfort to a marine grunt or a navy sailor or an army private to have a Bible with the insignia of his service on the cover. What a great gift from a Christian mom and dad to their son or daughter as they go off to defend their country. But our culture that sanctifies some choices has just dumped this one. Kill your kid if you want. But you sure better not have a Bible with a service insignia on it! Wonder if they will make it crime to put an insignia sticker on a Bible cover.

Praise God for this Miracle of Courage!

Channing Moss was impaled with a piece of live ordinance. The medical people could have followed protocol and let him die, but they saw the value of one human life and did what they had to do. What a miracle story! Get out the tissues and say a prayer of thansgiving.

The Generosity and Ingenuity of American Women

The video below is a testament to the generosity and ingenuity of American women. Even today there are volunteer groups committed to making our troops know they aren't forgotten back home. The opportunities to serve are endless. Americans don't need the government to tell us what to do. We don't need massive government programs like the ones President Obama has in mind for a civilian service comparable to the military. We have enough imagination and energy to develop a million projects to help and serve others.

A Moment of Silent Honor for all our Veterans Living or Dead

On this veterans' day I honor my father, my brother, my son-in-law, my nephews, and all those who have served our country in wartime or at peace. And especially to the fallen who made the ultimate sacrifice and the wounded who live with constant physical reminders of their service. Remember them today and pray in thanksgiving for their faithfulness.

Let us also pray for those who died and were wounded at Fort Hood this week. They were sacrificed on the altar of political correctness by military and political leaders more concerned about hurting feelings than preserving the safety of those who serve.

May God have mercy on the dead and protect the living.

A Shepherd on the Front Lines

See below an interview with a dear Arlington priest who is serving in Iraq. Fr. Eric Albertson used to fight in the abortion wars before he became an army chaplain. Father and I sidewalk counseled together at Commonwealth abortion mill in Falls Church, VA. One day he was reamed out by a lady leaving daily Mass at St. James next door. She yelled at him to "stay away from that place." Can you imagine a real Catholic chastising a priest for standing up to the murder of the unborn? She should have been thanking him. This is a man who is not afraid to defend the truth. It's been 40 years since Humanae Vitae and liberal Catholics still haven't seen the light of that prophetic encyclical. If you've never read it, do yourself a favor and see how Pope Paul VI predicted many of today's evils that stem directly from contraception/abortion.
