Question for the Day: Is the Pope Catholic?

Will someone not rid me of
this troublesome archbishop?

Is the pope Catholic?

It used to be a joke. Someone would ask a rhetorical question, the answer an obvious and emphatic yes:

Question: Do bees buzz? (As a beekeeper I had to get that one in!)

Answer: Is the pope Catholic?

Unfortunately, in the era of Pope Francis, the answer is no longer a rhetorical "obvious and emphatic yes."

Does the pope, in fact, exhibit a Catholic mind and heart? Or does he join the list of popes and anti-popes who scandalized the faithful and took wrecking balls to the Church?

Can you help Mercy Chefs feed the emergency workers and devastated families in South Carolina

I love Mercy Chefs! When massive forest fires, floods, tornadoes, or earthquakes strike, they are there on the spot with hot meals and compassionate words. Feed the hungry is the first corporal work of mercy and they are doing that big time. We sent a donation when they responded to a request for help during the massive forest fire in northern California. From there, they turned to the devastating floods in South Carolina. People's lives will be disrupted there for a long time. Can you help?  We will.

UK's Daily Mail Posts Pictures and Video of Joplin

Go here....

The devastating destructive powr of the tornado that hit Joplin is appalling. This is what 198 mile an hour winds in a vortex can do. Pray for the poor people there especially that the missing will be found alive and unhurt.

New Earthquake Strikes Close to Home

A 7.2 earthquake centered just south of the U.S. - Mexico border affected California cities as far north as Los Angeles on Easter Sunday afternoon. Think this will get people's attention? (Read more here.... ) If you're not on your knees, a good strong earthquake can put you there fast.

Two people south of the border were killed and at least one hospital was evacuated. Pray for the safety of the people displaced by the quake.
