Ah, yes. Islam. The Religion of Peace. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter say that Islam is peaceful. Hollywood says so, and we all know to trust the moral judgments of movie stars, the world's secular saints. The Left says that Islam is peaceful because it's their preferred religion and is as evil as they are because ideological birds of a feather always stick together. 

Is Paris Burning? A Reflection on the Notre Dame Fire.

Was the Notre Dame fire and accident? Perhaps. But the on-going, deliberate attacks on Catholic churches in France fuels speculation (not unreasonably, I believe). Churches there are under siege by Muslim migrants. The trashing of Paris is well documented and across France acts of vandalism and violence are increasing. (See here and here and here for just three examples including the brutal murder of Fr. Jacques Hamel during morning Mass by two young Muslim men.)

This is Islam. Ah, yes. The religion of peace. Multiply this peaceful member of the religion of peace by several million peaceful Muslims and we see what Europe is up against. Thanks elitist globalist liberals!

"Jesus Christ was a Muslim! This land (Germany) belongs to Allah! The entire world belongs to Allah! We want an Islamic world! Allahu akhbar!"

Then this humble peaceful Muslim segues into deep Islamic theology of killing the guy with the microphone because he - the guy with the microphone - has a devil in him that invades his body ... which is a brilliant example of the pot calling the kettle black. But now I have to defend the use of a perfectly good idiom and say it is not an Islamophobic statement nor is it racist because Islam is NOT a race; it's a religion and pots and kettles are KITCHEN utensils. Cookware!

This is the "religion of peace?"

The recent attempted "honor killing" of 21-year-old Harry Potter actress Afshan Azad by her father and brother illustrates the violence of the so-called "religion of peace." When fathers can murder their daughters over a row about a boy friend and the religion they espouse approves it....what more is there to say?

Most of the victims of "honor killings" are women and most of the murderers are men, often fathers and brothers. (See here.... ) There is no religious sanction against the perpetrators in the Muslim faith. Islam  treats women as chattel and all sins of lust are their fault. Men can have multiple "wives" and keep them like a harem while they collect welfare as "unwed moms". A woman doesn't even have to commit sin to be killed. Read this horrifying story about a fifth grader who "committed suicide" by shooting herself three times in the head (Yeah, right!) after being handed a note by a boy saying, "I love you."

Christianity is under assault today, but the fact is that it was Christ who raised the status and dignity of women. All women in Christianity are invited to imitate Mary, the new Eve. Even the fallen woman is not condemned under the New Covenant. As Jesus said to the woman taken in adultery (Where was the man?) "Neither do I condemn you. Go your way and henceforth avoid this sin." Christianity calls to conversion and goes in search of the lost sheep, not to slaughter it, but to return it to the fold.

Today is the feast of St. Maria Goretti, the little saint of purity who died rather than agree to engage in sex with her assailant. She was stabbed multiple times and suffered greatly before her death the next day. But her sacrifice led to the repentance and conversion of her attacker who was present at her canonization.
