My Answer to Comments on The Luminous Mysteries From August 18th

The Transfiguration
by Theophanes the Greek, 15th Century

The original post is HERE. Before I begin I want to say that no one commented on what was in the post itself. Did they read it?

In addition, at the Transfiguration, Christ made Peter, James and John's faith stronger so that they might not lose their belief in Him during His Passion and death. "He confirmed them in their faith"...made their faith stronger, not by Confirmation of the Holy Spirit Who was to come at Pentecost, but by enabling them to see Him as the Savior who was prefigured by the Law (Moses) and the Prophets (Elijah) of the Old Testament.

Because of the Transfiguration, Peter, James and John did not lose their faith in Him. Just as there's more than one reference to the Holy Eucharist in the entire Bible, both OT and NT - several, in fact - there's also more than one reference for Confirmation and all the rest of the Seven Sacraments.

The following is my response:

Fourteen years before I became a Catholic I hadn’t been to the protestant church of my youth in years, and hadn’t spoken to God in over a decade. One night, in complete desperation, I breathed a prayer to Him. I breathed that prayer – just one line – and He heard me. I didn’t know anything about the Trinity or the Blessed Mother or much of anything. I just knew God was our Father so I prayed to Him.

First Lady or First Hypocrite? Rosary wearing Jill's Medicine Show!

Jill Biden is in Kenya promoting contraception. Liberals don't want babies at all, but especially not more black babies. Remember when Ruth Bader Ginsberg said she had concerns "about population growth and particularly growth in populations we don’t want to have too many of." Wonder whom she meant? Consider that black women are aborted at a much higher rate than white women and that Planned Parenthood is overrepresented in minority areas. Somehow, I don't think Ginsburg was talking about getting rid of the babies of the residents on Martha's Vineyard and other pricey neighborhoods populated by the elites. Nope, gotta get those welfare babies whom liberals always assume will grow up to be criminals. Kill 'em early and often!

Thought for the Day: Hope Rules!

“Nowadays, the whole power of hell seems more than ever bent upon fighting the moral power of the Church and suffocating the divine life in souls….No doubt the abandonment of the liturgical life and the cessation of its influence upon the faithful have contributed to this impotence. Our spirituality has become narrow, dry, superficial, external, or altogether sentimental; it down not have the penetration and soul-stirring power that only the liturgy, that great source of Christian vitality can give.”

Dom Chautard wrote that in Soul of the Apostolate published in 1946. It explains in a nutshell the attack on the traditional Latin Mass. In order to advance the great reset or globalism or one world government, whatever you want to call it, the Holy Mass had to be gutted. And so the attempted suppression of the Mass of the ages will continue. It will not be successful. God wills it and those attacking it are attacking God Himself. That never works. They may seem to win for a while as they persecute the believers, especially our priests, but in the end, no matter how hard Satan and his minions rage, they lose.

Hold your ground, faithful people of God. Pray and do penance and cling to the rosary in this month dedicated to Mary’s holy rosary. Her Son is Christ the King and the king rules in the hearts of His people! Hope rules!

Dei Gratias!

A New Film on Fatima - Check it Out!

The 13th Day opens this month in the UK and Portugal. Looks like a powerful film. Pray for its wide release in the United States. Remember the Blessed Mother's promise if her requests are carried out: "My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will Consecrate Russia to Me, which will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to mankind."

We obviously are not experiencing "a period of peace" which lends credence to the belief of those who say the consecration of the world to Mary by Pope John Paul II did not fulfill the Blessed Mother's request. Pray the rosary daily for peace. And on this Memorial Day, pray especially for the repose of the souls of those who died in the wars of this country, our living veterans, and for those on active military duty, especially those posted to hot spots around the world. Our Lady Queen of Peace, pray for them.

Pray the rosary on October 7th, the Feast of the Holy Rosary

Tomorrow is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, a great day to pray the rosary for the upcoming election - that God's will be done, that our country be preserved from destruction, that unborn children and other vulnerable individuals may be protected, and above all that we might be a people united under the banner of Christ the King. Happy Birthday, Blessed Mother!

We celebrate the Blessed Mother's birthday today, nine months after the feast of her Immaculate Conception on December 8th. What better present can you give her today (especially if you've already been to Mass) than to take a rosary walk with her entrusting your prayers into her hands with all the graces to be dispensed as she wishes. You can be sure that they will be used in a way most beneficial to you and your family.

St. Louis de Montfort tells us if we want to know Jesus better, come to Him through Mary: "Since she is the sure means, the direct and immaculate way to Jesus and the perfect guide to him, it is through her that souls who are to shine forth in sanctity, must find him. He who finds Mary finds life, that is, Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth and the life. But no one can find Mary who does not look for her. No one can look for her who does not know her, for no one seeks or desires something unknown. Mary then must be better known than ever for the deeper understanding and the greater glory of the Blessed Trinity."

Remember what Mary said to Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill. "Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health? Are you not happily within my fold? What else do you wish? Do not grieve nor be disturbed by anything."

Thank you, dear Mother, for loving us so well.
