Let me get this straight.
1. Somebody used chemical weapons (weapons of mass destruction) to kill Syrian citizens. The Obama administration claims it was Syria's leader President Assad.
2. The Obama administration has released intelligence reports they claim "prove" that Assad launched the chemical weapons. (Remember the intelligence that "proved" Saddam Hussein had WMDs?) However, as with Iraq there is no hard evidence, so we just have to take the word of the administration. We all know how trustworthy they've been on foreign affairs...like Benghazi.
3. Press reports that conflict with the Obama administration version of events say that rebels on the ground are taking responsibility for the attack and implicating Saudi Prince Bandar as the source of the chemical weapons.
3. Meanwhile, it looks like Obama is trying to figure out how to get out of the corner he's backed himself into with his chest thumping war speech. So, guess what, he decided (after a walk in the garden) to consult Congress after all although folks in his administration say he's still keeping his option to bomb the hell out of Syria on the table no matter what Congress does. This is a man who NEVER takes responsibility for anything. His double talk is one more attempt to avoid making a decision that he will have to own.
4. And the bottom line is that it is far more likely that the gas attacks were the works of the rebels who have everything to gain from pinning the blame on Assad and getting U.S. bombers to help them take him out.
5. Pat Buchanan makes a lot of sense especially when he says what's been reported in Syria "reeks of a false flag operation." Watch the video and read more here. "IT'S NOT OUR WAR!"

Was Ambassador Chris Stevens Running Guns to Syria?
One of the shocking revelations coming out about the murder of our ambassador in Benghazi, Chis Stevens, is that he was apparently involved in a gun-running scheme arming Syrian rebels. And what are the Syrian rebels doing with those weapons? Killing Christians among others. Is the U.S. arming the rebels improving life for the Syrian people? Not hardly!
Meanwhile, Obama's policies continue to decimate the Christian populations in Middle East countries and exporting the violence, a dangerous situation for the future. As Archbishop Issam John Darwish of Furrzol, Zahle and the Bekaa said:
"The Haddad family had no doubts about why they had to escape from Homs. 'We left because they were trying to kill us,' said 18-year-old Noura Haddad. She is now staying with relations in the town of Zahle in the Bekaa Valley. 'They wanted to kill us because we were Christians. They were calling us Kaffirs, even little children saying these things. Those who were our neighbours turned against us.'"...
"Some in the Church are adamant about who is to blame – not just those carrying out the persecution, but those who are encouraging it to happen. For Archbishop Issam John Darwish of Furrzol, Zahle and the Bekaa, the responsibility for the attacks lay with 'an influx of jihadists in the rebels in the last six, seven months'. There is for him, as in so many such situations in the Middle East, the spectre of a 'hidden hand'. 'I think the situation is being manipulated by the USA and maybe Israel – they want this to happen,' he insisted.
As more and more evidence comes out it becomes obvious why the Obama administration had to cover up what happened in Benghazi. The stonewalling and lies become more understandable. There's plenty to hide!
"And if the new Libyan government was sending seasoned Islamic fighters and 400 tons of heavy weapons to Syria through a port in southern Turkey—a deal brokered by Stevens' primary Libyan contact during the Libyan revolution—then the governments of Turkey and the U.S. surely knew about it."There's A Reason Why All Of The Reports About Benghazi Are So Confusing:
"If President Obama's position is to refrain from arming rebels with heavy weapons, but regime change in Syria is advantageous, then a covert CIA operation with plausible deniability seems to be the only answer. It's a dicey dance, especially if it's exposed."Meanwhile, Obama is throwing everybody involved in his scandals, including the murders in Benghazi, under the bus. Petraeus resigns only days before being called as a Congressional witness because of an "extramarital affair." (When has that ever damaged Bill Clinton?) Hillary Clinton is leaving. Eric Holder (Fast and Furious) is going. Gotta clean the slate for the next four years of scandal.
Meanwhile, Obama's policies continue to decimate the Christian populations in Middle East countries and exporting the violence, a dangerous situation for the future. As Archbishop Issam John Darwish of Furrzol, Zahle and the Bekaa said:
"I have raised this with officials in the West, they must bring peace. The jihadis will not stop here, the war will spread to Europe. What will England be like in ten or 15 years?"How close are we to World War III?

Tensions Escalating in the Middle East
While violence in Syria continues to escalate, the situation with Iran is also deteriorating.
But who knows what will actually happen as the heat is turned up in the Middle East. If Iran tries to close the Strait of Hormuz, a major oil shipping lane, tensions will rise even higher and Iran has warned us to stay out of it or else. We may think because we are so far away, these things don't affect us. Look at history. And see how closely connected we are to Israel. The neo-cons will agitate for action to support Israel in case of an Israel/Iran confrontation. If we are sucked into another major war you will see the draft restored overnight and our daughters and granddaughters will be drafted along with our sons. It they aren't there will be an instant lawsuit demanding "equal treatment.
I'm sure no expert on foreign affairs, but I can read the signs of the times and they are anything but encouraging. Pray the rosary daily for peace. Remember that when the bomb dropped on Hiroshima one of the only places left standing was a house eight blocks from the blast zone. Eight Jesuit missionaries were living the Fatima message there praying the rosary together daily. The house survived intact while the Church next door was demolished. The missionaries' survival and subsequent lives without any evidence of radiation sickness or other bomb-related illnesses is considered the "rosary miracle of Hiroshima."
Please live Our Lady of Fatima's requests in your home. Pray the rosary daily for peace. Foster devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Make the First Saturday devotion perpetually in reparation for sins and outrages against Mary. Today's Mass readings remind us that God is faithful to His people. Psalm 94 assures us that "the Lord will not cast off his people, nor abandon his inheritance." Matthew's gospel urges us to be "childlike" in our trust. No matter how dark the night Jesus is the light of the world and His name means "God saves."
Our Lady of Fatima, intercede for us. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
The suicide assassination of top officials in Syria reminds me of the trigger point for World War I, the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife. God help us, people need to seriously pray and fast for peace. As the Blessed Mother so clearly pointed out at Fatima and, as Blessed Mother Teresa often said, war is a punishment for sin. If you kill the baby in the womb what is left for us to do to one another? The administration says they won't intervene until after the election.
