Boys Will Be Boys (And Girls Will Be Girls)

My husband just came back from an outing with three of our grandchildren to the parish thrift store which has all kinds of appealing treasures. He gave them carte blanche  and sent them abroad among the toys to make their choices. He made no attempt to steer them to traditional toys associated with a particular sex.

Surprise! The two little girls (eight and five) came out with gorgeous china dolls. They love Ann of Green Gables and promptly christened their dolls Ann and Diana. The two year old headed straight for the trucks and came home with a great dump truck with lots of room for hauling stuff. I can hear them all now playing in the family room very excited about their new toys.

You Can't Fool Mother Nature! DNA Will Tell.

A friend of mine wrote the article below and I think she pegs it. In the world of virtual reality, everyone can create his own avatar. An old person can become young, a male can become female or vice-versa. But it's a world of make-believe. People who actually enter into that make-believe world insisting it's real are mentally ill, psychotic in fact. The psychotic creates his own world and then tries to live in it. We not only live in a culture of death today, but a psychotic culture of make-believe. Instead of emphasizing the true and the real, many institutions (educational, political, and even religious) have entered into the psychotic's make believe world to confirm his avatar. After all, feelings trump reality and if it feels right to you, it must be right. Tell that to the next child who thinks he's Superman and wants to jump off the roof to prove he can fly. 

The Twenty-Third Chromosome

The sex of a child is fixed at the instant of conception through the paired XY (male) or XX (female) twenty third chromosomes. God wrote male or female into our DNA genetic code like the Ten Commandments were written by His finger on Moses’ two tablets of stone – fixed, permanent and forever. Simply put, examined DNA will instantly reveal to any scientist that a particular human person is male or female.

St. Francis de Sales said, “Do not desire not to be what you are,” yet ever increasingly we read news stories about the glories of sex change operations and how happy is the new gender enhanced person being something not only that he or she never was before, but something he or she never can be, therefore never will be for all eternity.

RU 486: More Dangerous than Surgical Abortion

The contraception/abortion juggarnaut always tries to convince unsuspecting women that their products are oh-so-safe. When the original pill came out in 1960, it reportedly was 100% effective with no side effects. That was before women began dying and having major complications from the high estrogen pill. So researchers began playing drug combo roulette to maintain the pill's effectiveness (at avoiding or eliminating babies) but reducing the death/complication rate for women. (Interesting that so little research goes into birth control pills for men. Because most researchers are men, perhaps?)

And now fifty years later we have the wonderful alternative to surgical abortion called RU 486 which is turning out to be pretty dangerous for the women who take it. Here's some info from a recent Australian study reported by LifeSiteNews:

Drs. Ea Mulligan and Hayley Messenger examined approximately 7,000 abortions, which the Australian reports were carried out in the state of South Australia in 2009 and 2010.

The study found that 3.3 percent of women undergoing the RU-486 abortion process (which uses the drugs mifepristone and misopristol) in the first trimester sought emergency room help, compared to 2.2 percent of women who had first trimester surgical abortions.

The Australian also noted that the study found that a massive 5.7 percent of women undergoing RU-486 abortion, versus 0.4 per cent of women who had surgical abortion, were re-admitted to the hospital for post-abortion treatment.

The study also found that the risk of women suffering severe hemorrhaging was one in 3,000 in surgical abortion. But the risks rose to one in 200 for women getting chemical abortion.

The rate of hospital admission for infection was one in 1500 for surgical abortion, but one in 480 for chemical abortion. See more...

Let's face it. You can't fool Mother Nature or the Lord of Life. God made women's reproductive organs for one purpose -- achieving and maintaining pregnancy. When we choose to throw a monkey wrench in the works, the outcome is likely to be problematic, like putting maple syrup in the gas tank of your car. Sometimes the problems are immediate; sometimes, like breast cancer, they don't show up for years. But the reality is, aside from the moral consequences, there are physical consequences to sin. If women realized the ultimate price they pay for "solving" their problem, most would never do it. It's only because the devil dresses sin up in a beautiful package that he can seduce us into choosing it.
