History as Judge?? Castro's Real Fate

Fidel Castro hand in hand
with Russian communist

Barack Obama, gave this public statement upon the recent death of communist dictator, Fidel Castro:
“We know that this moment fills Cubans - in Cuba and in the United States - with powerful emotions, recalling the countless ways in which Fidel Castro altered the course of individual lives, families, and of the Cuban nation.  History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him.”

From the "Duh!" Department at the CDC

Teens who remain chaste are healthier all around than their sexually active peers. Wow! Who woulda thunk it?

How Predator Priests Groom Their Victims: A Lesson for Parents!

Many Catholics believe the sex abuse scandals are a thing of the past. They aren't. A number of dioceses continue to coddle homosexual priests who maintain same-sex relationships, enjoy pornography, embezzle parish funds and are a real threat to the young. As recently as last Spring, a group of laity in Miami at St. Rose of Lima put together a dossier on their pastor, Fr. Pedro Corces, who was cavorting with his gay boyfriend and making changes at the school that concerned parents. He gave his boyfriend who had an extensive criminal background a maintenance job at the parish.

When they took their information to Bishop Thomas Wenski did he thank the parents? No, it was deja vu: attack the messengers! He excoriated the laity, conducted his own investigation, and exonerated the priest in early July although he asked him to resign as pastor. Interestingly, Corces was also vocations director from 1996-2006. Now who exactly do you think he was bringing into the seminaries? More about Fr. Corces here. I bring this up because the case below is an old one. But what happened to the family and the "grooming" techniques used to molest the children is as typical today as it was then. Find a vulnerable family, befriend them especially the young boys, take them on outings alone, and when the timing is right molest them. Sometimes the children are threatened not to tell and the abuse can go on for years. This case is heartbreaking, but things like this are still going on. And Wenski's behavior in Miami shows that the Child Protection Programs are, in many cases, a farce!

In Memory of Fr. Constantine Belisarius who entered into Eternal Life on November 27, 2016

I only met Fr. Belisarius a few times, but I was impressed and humbled when he encouraged me in my little writing apostolate. It was a personal blessing! Forgive me if I describe him as "well-rounded" which, with his long white beard and cheerful smile always made me think of St. Nicholas. How appropriate that this dear man went to the Lord on the first Sunday of Advent. I can imagine him on Christmas day filling our stockings with prayers and blessings as we muddle on in the Valley of Tears. The article after the break was sent as an email by one of my readers. I reprint it here with her permission and with gratitude. As I read it I was reminded of Yeats famous quotation, "The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity." How many of the dissenters in our Church bubble over with zeal as they undermine the faith? How many of those in the hierarchy, called to promote the faith "lack all conviction" having traded it for the Almighty tax exemption. How many failed to protect the little lambs in the flock and allowed the sodomite wolves to prey on them without interference? Fr. Belisarius was not one of them. He was a simple, humble priest who truly loved children and God's people. May the Lord bless us with many more like him.

Fr. Constantine, pray for us.

Sunday Meditation: First Sunday of Advent

Our Advent began with Mass and a big brunch celebrated with our youngest and her family and my oldest brother and his wife. But before brunch the three oldest children (eight, five, and three) helped me cut greens for the advent wreath off our pine trees and red berries off the nandina bushes.

What fun it was to have them poking the greens into the pine cone wreath (a gift from my sister Laura many moons ago!) and then adding the berries. Since I didn't have any new advent candles we scoured the candle drawer for three already used purples and one pink.

Theodore McCarrick says an "influential Italian gentleman" asked him to "talk up Bergoglio."

Did the "mafia" puppet masters
influence the election of Pope Francis?
The first video clip after the break is taken from a 2013 speech at Villanova (starts at about 18:55 in the second video at the bottom of the page which is the complete talk at Villanova).

Keep in mind that the Cardinals in a papal conclave are strictly prohibited from lobbying for a pope. And yet, there's plenty of evidence that lobbying for Cardinal Bergoglio was organized and came from an anti-Benedict wing of cardinals calling themselves the "mafia club" under the name "St. Gallen" or "St. Gall." (They met at St. Gallen's in Switzerland.)

The "mafia" included Cardinal DanneelsCardinal Kasper, Cardinal Martini (deceased), Cardinal Lehmann, Cardinal Silvestrini and Dutch Bishop Van Luyn. In an authorized biography of Cardinal Danneels, he was open about the secret meetings of the "mafia club" (Progressives love to brag!) although he later tried to backtrack. Why try to backtrack? Because lobbying for a pope can make his election illegitimate.

Guest Post: What do you think? Do the Prophecies of St. Francis Explain It All?

Take a look at this and see what you think, but please don't be alarmed. Church history is filled with challenging periods when corrupt popes ruled and anti-popes added to the confusion. "Let not your hearts be troubled." Trust in God and pray. I don't know if we are living in the time prophesied by St. Francis or not. I do know that our response in all circumstances is to commit to the duties of our state in life and to work out our salvation in fear and trembling committing ourselves to the will of God.   Mary Ann

The Prophecy of St. Francis about a Future Pope

By David Martin

Shortly before his death, St. Francis of Assisi called together the friars of his Order and detailed a prophecy of what was to come upon the Church in the latter days. That this prophecy references the last times is evident by the prediction of events that would not be fulfilled until after Vatican II, and by its placing these events in the time frame of the Gospel prophecy concerning the great tribulations just before Christ's Second Coming. (Matthew 24) St. Francis relates the following concerning the future Church under siege.

Black Friday Starts on Thursday: Please Don't Do It!

I was in one of the dollar stores in town the other day and saw a sign saying they'd be closed on Thanksgiving. Good thing I said to the cashier. She agreed. She'll be home celebrating Thanksgiving with her family. But this morning when I turned on my computer I started getting all the alerts in my email box. J.C. Penney: Black Friday starts Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Joining Penney's is a long list: Macy's, Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Kohls, Old Navy, Dollar General, etc. ad nauseum.

Trump Lectures the Mainstream Media: It's about Time!

Laura Ingraham for Press Secretary!
Hey, the media apparently have no problem with the cast of Hamilton lecturing Vice President elect Mike Pence. And then they act like Trump criticizing the cast's rude and inappropriate actions is a scary sign that he will muzzle free speech. What nonsense! The cast of Hamilton was uncivil and crass -- something, by the way, the media always accuse Trump of being. Well, the media got lectured by Trump in an appropriate setting - a meeting to discuss working together. Hey, what's wrong with clearing the air first?
