Scranton Bishop Joseph Martino warned the orgnanizers of the St. Patrick's Day Parade that the Cathedral will be closed to them if they honor pro-abortion politicians. So they won't. In 2008 Hillary Clinton participated in the parade with huge campaign signs. Let's hope the bishop's ban includes scandalous pro-abortion politicians marching or appearing in any official way in the parade.
Les Femmes applauds the bishop's actions. It's high time we have shepherds who speak with the voice of authority instead of sounding like smarmy politicians and CEOs selling soap.
Thank you, Bishop Martino. You have our prayers and our full support!
So when is the real Shepherd going to condemn the republicans who insisted on removal for family planning, had it removed and still voted against the stimulus bill. They just voted for 800,000 unnecessary abortions.
ReplyDelete"Report co-author Rachel Benson Gold called the family planning program "smart government at its best," asserting that every dollar spent on it saves taxpayers $4 in costs associated with unintended births to mothers eligible for Medicaid-funded natal care.
Surveying data from the 2006 fiscal year, the report says the national family planning program prevented 1.94 million unintended pregnancies, including almost 400,000 teen pregnancies. Based on statistical analysis and projections, these pregnancies would have resulted in 860,000 unintended births, 810,000 abortions and 270,000 miscarriages, according to the report.
Without publicly funded family planning, it said, the U.S. abortion rate would be nearly two-thirds higher, and nearly twice as high among poor women."
Ha, ha, ha, ha....Excuse me for laughing but the "report" is from the Guttmacher Institute which is the "research" arm of Planned Parenthood, the biggest birth control/abortion provider in the world. That's certainly a neutral source isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the statistics that were used to get abortion legalized in the first place.
Millions of women were dying from illegal abortion we were told. Only one problem --- Lawrence Lader, founder of NARAL, and Bernard Nathanson, operator of the biggest abortion mill in the country at the time, made them all up. The CDC reported about 250 at most in any year. But the media never checked and never asked. They just treated the pig swill like caviar.
Everywhere PP goes with their contaceptive message, abortions go up - so do STDs and destroyed lives. Sometimes the birth rate goes down because they kill the babies before they're born. I think you need a more convincing source than the foxes who want more money for protecting the chickens.
Mary Ann, the parade isn't the only thing Bishop Martino has going on right now.
ReplyDeleteHe's got Misericordia University halfway to the episcopacy's woodshed.
