Banned in Orange! Should we laugh or cry? |
Catholics familiar with the outrageous things going on in the Church are all-too-aware of the Diocese of Orange. That's where the Barney Mass took place in 2006 (and may still be going on this weekend for all we know). Fr. Fred Bailey, the "unconventional pastor" is no longer at Corpus Christi and the diocesan website doesn't have a priest directory that I could find so I don't know where he is now. Maybe a reader can tell us.
Of course, to be fair, the Barney Mass took place under the notorious Bishop Tod Brown. The current bishop is Kevin Vann. But it's odd to think that an orthodox speaker like Stephanie Block would be banned. It doesn't really speak well of the diocese and diocesan decision makers. But, sadly, these days heretics are often more welcome in our churches (and sometimes serve as their pastors) than those who defend the authentic Catholic faith.
And since I brought it up, you can watch the Barney Mass below and hope that Fr. Bailey is no longer in active ministry turning the worship of Christ the King into a Halloween circus.

ReplyDeletewell we can see that the witches are not banned. That should tell you enough right there.
ReplyDeleteFr. Fred Bailey is the pastor of Santa Clara de Asis Church in Yorba Linda, CA
ReplyDeleteIn that diocese, it is a badge of honor. I'm proud of Stephanie, and she should be happy to know she's in good company. See:

In the wake of the sin-nod, we're going to see more goofiness from the progressive hot-beds. It's already happening in the Archdiocese of Washington. Pop over to my blog for a look. It will be a bumpy ride.

ReplyDeleteIs exactly correct. Cdls Wuerl and Dolan were absolutely beside themselves with delight when Pope Francis was elected when interviewed twice on the Charlie Rose show.
Cdl Wuerl already sees the sin nod as an opening to change and has been making statements to the Press ob it.
Cdl Wuerl is being touted as one of Pope Francis' favorites .I view this as a very bad omen for the Church in America,

ReplyDeleteThanks for blogging about Stephanie's "block," Mary Ann, and thank you, Stephanie, for visiting us!
ReplyDeleteCarol Blankfield, our host in Orange County, had to pay $700 to find an alternate venue for Stephanie at Orange Coast College after the diocese refused to let Stephanie speak at St. John the Baptist. The diocese notified SJB of the refusal on October 16, a mere 9 days before Stephanie's scheduled event, so Carol and the others who were helping her had to scramble to make other arrangements.
In my opinion, the Orange Diocese acted maliciously. Alinksyian groups are allowed free rein at our Catholic parishes, but we can't have an orthodox lay speaker who exposes those groups, now can we?
The good news is that Stephanie's talk in Orange, as well as her talks in San Diego, were all well-received. One gentleman who filmed her talk at Immaculate Conception in San Diego's Old Town has put up a website about it; see http://ion-us.net/progressive-alinsky-organizers-infiltrating-churches-in-san-diego/.
God bless you all,
Allyson

ReplyDeleteShe teaches yoga and the cost of this day is $150.00
Exorcists have warned about the dangers of yoga. The diocese has allowed potential demonic possession by hosting this event on church property.
Dear 'anonymous' --- after your comments, have you thought about what that says about your 'catholic' (sic) parishes? Are they, in fact, Catholic? Get out of there asap. Either find a traditional chapel or a Ukrainian catholic church, but get out of the Novus Ordo. It's called the Novus Ordo (New Order) for a reason...
