“The great Catholic tradition is alive and well, and is only waiting for courageous pastoral leadership and visionary patronage to continue its great story where it most belongs: in the bosom of the Church.” Professor and composer Mark Nowakowski

I attended this mass last year and it is a very memorable experience. I wanted to be there 1st for the mass itself, but 2ndly to show support for Bishop Sample. Since then I have heard hardly a peep out of him.
ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago I drove to St. Leo's Church to hear Bishop Cordeleone speak thinking his talk would be passionate and dripping with truth and sat there listening to uninspiring pablum.
Some might say both are "bucking for a red hat." Same has been said about Chaput.
Then you get an ordinary fellow like Bishop Strickland from Tyler, Texas who Tweets and has the courage to tangle with fr. james martin, member of the jesuit queer fraternity.
I love high mass and all the glorious ceremony but what I want now are Bishops who care as much about the Church and getting those of us in it to heaven as they do about keeping Bergoglio happy.
It is disgraceful that Cordeleone isnt speaking out about Dem. policy in San Francisco and speaking truh to error in the faces of people like nancy pelosi.
Has anyone done a story about Achb.Cordileone giving his public statements and

You can tell a lot from the diocesan website. At present they have the daily reports on David Daleiden's fight against the Planned Parenthood Goliath. We need to pray a lot harder for our bishops. But I'm encouraged by the Mass on the 16th, particularly because it's being heralded as a Mass of the Americas. This comes at a time when the Catholic Media Coalition and many others are urging the bishops to enshrine Our Lady of the Americas in the basilica. The name of this Mass seems to affirm that and I will be attending and praying that Our Lady under that title is soon brought there by the bishops of the United States.
