Hey, God didn't do it, I did! |
Oh, and defend the Constitution which is being systematically ripped to shreds like Nancy ripped the president's State of the Union speech.
Frankly, I expect New York to get another blast after Cuomo's horrible comment in a recent update:
Frankly, I expect New York to get another blast after Cuomo's horrible comment in a recent update:
“The number is down because we brought the number down. God did not do that. Fate did not do that. Destiny did not do that. A lot of pain and suffering did that.”Keep in mind that this is the Catholic governor who lit up the Empire State building in pink to celebrate murdering babies. He clearly has NO fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. He's got plenty of arrogance! Wisdom...mmm...not so much.
I've been reading the book of the prophet Jeremiah who kept warning the Israelites to repent and turn away from sin. He particularly called on the king to hear the word of the Lord, but the king stubbornly refused. So what happened? Babylon, that pagan nation led by Nebuchadnezzar, was used by God to destroy Jerusalem and take its people and king (who was blinded) into captivity. See any parallels here?
Time to repent on our knees for all the blasphemies against God, especially the murder of his little ones. If any nation deserves a chastisement it's ours. Not only have we killed millions of our own children, but we've exported our murder, especially in the Third World.
When a chastisement falls on a people it doesn't just fall on the guilty. Jesus talked about the deaths caused by the collapse of the tower of Siloam. (Luke 13:4-5) Both the guilty and the less guilty (are any of us truly innocent except the little ones who haven't reached the age of reason?) all suffer the consequences of evil.
Pray for Andrew Cuomo, but do NOT imitate his blasphemy against God. Like Nimrod who built the Tower of Babel, he is shaking his fist at God. May the people of New York pray to be spared from whatever further punishment is coming on the city because of his evil words and actions! May God have mercy on the people of New York!
Everyone eventually dies of heart failure, otherwise they are still alive.
ReplyDeletePeople who were vulnerable and were pushed into the grave because COVID-19 apparently invaded their
bodies seem to me also to have been justly counted as having died of the disease if they exhibited the usual symptoms of the pandemic. Recall we had no testing for the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic, yet we have statistics, and they had body counts of people at the time who exhibited the symptoms, and apparently died of the disease. We do not have extensive or even completely reliable testing for COVID-19. We do not even know for sure whether the virus produces an immunity in recovered patients.
Good point. I hope they end up doing some more accurate evaluation though, because some (how many?) of these folks may be dying from other viruses, unrelated pneumonia, or bronchitis that would have taken their lives regardless. To just decide that everyone who had a fever and respiratory symptoms is a COVID 19 death seems to me to be agenda driven.
