The Eleventh Station: Jesus is Nailed to the Cross

After all the agony of the preceding night and the long journey on the Via Dolorosa to Mount Clavary, the Skull Place, Jesus begins the final chapter. Jesus suffers every inhumanity man can inflict on a person. He has experienced in His soul, every sin every committed and suffered for them in the Garden. May we repent in tears our active participation in the cruelty inflicted in our gracious Lord. Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.

Meditating on the Magi is a humbling experience. Think of the immensity of their project. It was over a thousand miles from their home in Persia to Bethlehem. As pagans, what did they know about the coming Messiah? They must have been great seekers of truth. And so they received a call from truth Himself. How else could they have the courage to even take the first step.

The writing is on the wall. We've lost our minds and our moral underpinnings. In practical terms what this means is that the promotion of homosexuality in the schools will be off the charts. Already, homosexuality is being promoted in Kindergarten and even pre-school. The brainwashing of children to accept homosexuality as normal is already well-advanced. Youth will be encouraged to question their sexuality and engage in homosexual experimentation.

Gay-straight Alliance clubs will increase in numbers and the explicit promotion of homosexual sex as normal and just an alternative will increase. Along with that will be all the problems associated with immoral behavior: increased venereal diseases, alcohol and drug use, depression and other emotional problems, and suicides. As we sink further into the culture of death, the young will pay a heavy price because of the scandal of their older family members. But the scandlizers will bear the weight of the millstones for their evil.

Pray and fast for our poor country and our poor world. The next earthquake and tsunami may very well be here. God is trying to get our attention. Is anyone listening?

Matthew 24:

"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Do not be alarmed. Such things are bound to happen, but that is not yet the end. Nation will rise against nation, one kingdom against another. There will be famine and pestilence and earthquakes in many places. These are the early stages of the birth pangs. They will hand you over to torture and kill you. Indeed you will be hated by all nations on my account. Many will falter then, betraying and hating one another. False prophets will rise in great numbers to mislead many. Because of the increase of evil, the love of most will grow cold. The man who holds out to the end, however, is the one who will see salvation. This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a witness to all the nations. Only after that will the end come."

Don't lose hope. Resolve to put on the armor of God and fight for souls. No one is beyond God's grace. Begin in your own families and draw as many as you can to Christ. Remember that in 1973 the pro-aborts said the war was over and they had won. But the abortion war rages on with more and more people defending the unborn. The same will be true when the ravages of homosexuality and the devastated lives becomes obvious. Fight and don't grow weary!
