Goodbye, Straight Men: Homosexuality in U.S. Seminaries

I would very much like to believe that the homosexual problem in the Church is over, that Michael Rose's 2002 exposé Goodbye, Good Men, caused major reform. But did it? I'm not so sure.

When you see men like Robert McElroy, who covered up for a notorious clerical sex abuser, appointed to a plum see like Washington, D.C. you know the elephant is still in the room. How many D.C. seminarians will be recruited who are, shall I say, light in the loafers? The priesthood can be a cushy job. Remember Bishop Michael Bransfield of Wheeling, WV, my husband's home town, who lived like a king. His behavior was no secret, but he enjoyed wining and dining himself for thirteen years on the faithful's dime. It was so bad I did a series with an anonymous priest, Nabi, who detailed the scandals. [See a recent local story from the Weirton Daily Times, Ex-Bishop Michael Bransfield’s ‘creepy’ behavior detailed.] How many bishops like Bransfield still rule dioceses in the U.S.? Many I fear.

What Kind of Deep Hell Is This?

The Burning Up of God's Image

The Earthly Trinity, the Image of God on earth in which man participates in creation, is the FAMILY - MAN/WOMAN/CHILD. The FAMILY is made in God's Image.

We've all heard of lesbian "families" but this one is particularly horrifying. As a true story, it's a living example of the demonic destruction of God's Image.

Let's call our lesbians Mindy and Dee...

"Out of Africa I have Called My Son!" The African Bishops Resist Francis and His Same-Sex Blessings!

This video shows exactly what the blessings of "irregular" unions is all about. Don't be fooled; it's about further attacking Christ's teaching on sexual morality. There is not one thing in the document about conversion and repentance. I've read it and it's a deliberate undermining ot the faith. Fr. Martin illustrates that in spades! Note how he talks about the homosexual "couple" he blessed being "married for two years." That's simply a lie. Two same sex individuals cannot "marry." God defines marriage. Fiducia Supplicans is all about approving and normalizing sodomy, fornication, and adultery. Don't be fooled and don't let them fool your loved ones!

We Need It in Canon Law: No Homosexuals in the Priesthood!

My husband and I with the priest who witnessed our marriage on the left (Fr. Hugh Monmonier) and Fr. James Haley on our 25th wedding anniversary

I spent about 25 years in regular contact with Fr. James Haley who became a cancelled priest in the Diocese of Arlington when our former bishop, Paul Loverde, deep-sixed him over his efforts to address the homosexual problems in the diocese. While Arlington had a reputation for orthodoxy, there were a number of active homosexual priests practicing sodomy and using gay porn. Some of the cases went public because of Fr. Haley's perseverance to uncover the truth. Also, several good men left the priesthood voluntarily because of their experiences with the homosexuals.

Guest Post: Mato's New Wings, a Parable

Want to fly like a hawk? All it takes is a few feathers.

by Thomas Walsh

Mato was so proud of his new wings! It seemed like forever before they finally grew out. All his life, he sadly watched the other hawks happily flying here and there while he was stuck on the ground. He could not understand what was taking so long. The old owl kept reassuring Mato, telling him to just be patient. His mother always tried to be supportive while his father would simply growl whenever he asked about his wings. But now, at last, he had his wings!

Archbishop Cordileone Undoes with his Left Hand What He Did with his Right!

Well, friends, I checked with a contact in the San Francisco area about whether homosexualist cheerleader James DeWan was ordained to the permanent diaconate on Saturday by Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone. I posted yesterday asking for information about the missing candidate, since ten were scheduled for ordination and only nine attended. I hoped and prayed that the archbishop had better sense than to ordain a man with so scandalous a background who is obviously unfit for ordained ministry in the Church by the Church's own directives!

Boring Non-Whimpering Homosexuals Need Not Apply

Biden's new Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition
in the Office of Nuclear Energy for the Department of Energy

The Left's participation in evil has always been to shock. And once normal people "get over" the shock and move on, the Left has to move forward with something even more shocking, leaving the former shocking thing in the dust. That's what's happening to homosexuals today. "Normal homosexuals" - those "married" sodomites settled down in a house and living what appears to be a "normal lifestyle just like heterosexuals" - have lost their shock value. They're passé. Boring actually. Therefore it's no longer shocking to hire an active sodomite as the Diocesan Director of Liturgy or appoint homosexuals as pastors of large parishes with a school. How monotonous.

Another One Bites the Dust! No Wonder We Don't Trust the USCCB!

Janet Smith has an article at Crisis about one of the highest ranking priests at the USCCB who just resigned when his "private" life was exposed. (I use the word "exposed" deliberately.

The Limits of a Priest’s Right to Privacy

Note the priest's position. It's almost funny. The man using an app to "hook up" with other men looking for sex with other men (Any man will do.). was in charge of....wait for it...."overseeing sex abuse cases."

National Sins Are Punished by National Chastisements

We hear a lot these days about “systemic racism.” If you’re white, you’re racist. That’s a given. If you say, “Gosh, I’m not a racist. I don’t discriminate against anybody. I treat everyone I meet with respect no matter what their race, religion, sex, or even their gender identity.” (After all, morally crazy people and sinners were made by God too.) “No, you’re a racist,” they say, “because you’re white and all white people are racists. Denying you’re a racist just proves you’re a racist in denial. I don’t care that you’re out at abortion businesses trying to save black and brown babies. You’re still a racist!”

No More Chick-Fil-A for this Chick! Back to the Beef!

I was willing to give Chick-Fil-A the benefit of the doubt until I got more information, but now that I learned more...Wow! It's clear. They not only caved, but their philanthropic bucks will now go to "charities" (e.g., Covenant House) that champion the gay agenda. The corporate bosses are liberal and they've dumped Adam and Eve for Adam and Steve.

Put on Your Black Arm Bands, D.C. Wilton Gregory is Coming to Town!

Pope Names First African American to Highest Post

Well...it's official...another member of the homosexual subculture is promoted and will take over the most important see in the country. Many in Washington mourn today that another member of the McCarrick/Wuerl clique is coming to D.C. Haven't they suffered enough?

This is an unmitigated disaster for both Gregory and the flock.  When these men gain power they tend to abuse it and the flock along with it. That certainly can't be good for a man's soul. I hope every Catholic will commit to pray for Gregory and for the faithful of D.C. who live in the midst of a political world so filled with corruption.

Diocese of Wheeling's Fr. Pat Wash -- Shining the Light of Truth on a Dark Scandal!

CORRECTION: According to a friend in the Diocese of Wheeling who called me this morning, Bishop Schmitt did not return Fr. Wash to active ministry. He removed him from the active priesthood after the arrest. Whether he was suspended or just given a "get out of Dodge" order, I don't know. Obviously he wasn't laicized to prevent him ever returning to active ministry. Did Schmitt report him to higher ups including the Apostolic Nuncio? I don't know. Sending him for a counseling degree may have been an "act of charity" according to my friend, so Wash could make a living outside the priesthood. (Not so charitable for the young men he might be counseling.) Garbage collector or car mechanic would have been better with fewer temptations. How many garbage collectors and mechanics are alone with their "clients?"

Guest Post Part 2: Pope Francis Fiddles while Faithful Burn with Anger!

Read Part 1 here.

Editor's note: Last November the pope told the USCCB not to take any substantive action on the sex abuse crisis because he had scheduled the summit in Rome. The summit, being hyped as a serious look at the problem, seems to be just one more stage production to create the impression that the Vatican is taking the problem seriously and actually doing something about it. Don't hold your breath. So far the press conferences indicate that the real problem (sodomite behavior which includes clergy homosexual abuse of minors, clergy homosexual abuse of young adults, especially seminary students, and consensual clergy homosexual sodomy between adults.) The only issue being addressed at the summit is the abuse of minors. And Blase Cupich, a master spinmeister, is continuing the cover up. When you read the papal schedule below, note how almost nothing is being said or done about what can only be described as the major Church crisis of our day. The pope has time to fly around the world, visit art galleries, attend interfaith meetings, and babble on and on about whatever; but dealing with the sex abuse crisis is hardly on his radar screen. The silence of the shepherd for his poor little slaughtered lambs in the womb and for the victims of clergy sex abuse (many of whom have committed suicide) is appalling!

Guest Post Part I: Pope Francis Fiddles while Faithful Burn with Anger!

Cupich, the great showman, will be running the
summit. Will it be the "greatest show on earth?"
Editor's comment: As the meeting on the sex abuse of minors begins today in Rome, consider the state of the Church and the loss of credibility among our clerical leaders. There are several troubling facts about the summit. Limiting the focus of the meeting to the abuse of minors is only half the story allowing the continued pretense that the issue is "pedophilia," the abuse of pre-pubescent children. It has ALWAYS been about pederasty, i.e., homosexual abuse. Blase Cupich has already announced that ONLY the abuse of minors will be discussed. So seminarian abuse and "age appropriate" sodomy between clerics is not on the table. Sadly, the Vatican seems to have no intention of addressing or cleaning up the real problem. The most obvious signal is that those organizing and running this meeting are, in fact, the problem. To have Blase Cupich, a champion of homosexuality, and others of his ilk in charge is surely an illustration of the saying, "The fox is guarding the hen house." The timeline of events described by today's guest illustrates exactly how much smoke emanates from the Vatican spin machine. Consider Cupich's "rabbit hole" comment. These men are clueless about the anger, the "burning mad" anger, of the laity, a righteous anger that calls out to heaven for justice!

As the Vatican Turns: Latest Episode of the Church Sex Abuse Soap

The soap opera continues on Thursday with the opening of the four-day summit on clerical sex abuse. The fact that its announced focus is abuse of minors, a horrendous part of the picture but only part of the picture, is seriously problematic. Clerics engaged in consensual homosexual lust or superiors who pressure their underlings to participate in immoral acts need to be exposed. The root of the crisis no matter the age of the victims is pederasty, i.e, same sex (homosexual) acts.

Michael Matt of The Remnant is in Rome and will be reporting on the meeting. Stay tuned.

Two Thumbs Up up to Janet at Restore D.C. Catholicism for Helping Stop a Public Scandal in Raleigh Diocese

Pastor says he made decision to cancel speech by gay Durham City Council member

Let's summarize the situation. Immaculata Elementary School in Durham invited a lesbian City Council member, Vernetta Alston, to speak during black history month. Alston is "married" to her lesbian partner. She backs positions that are "intrinsically evil" and in direct opposition to Church teaching. Janet was contacted by a concerned parent and entered the fray with a post calling for people to contact the parish and the diocese to rescind the invitation which never should have been made in the first place. The pastor says he didn't know about it. If that's true, he needs to rethink his government of the parish and protection of the children from scandal. Here's what he said about the situation:

The Mark of the Beast - Are We Seeing Revelation's Prophecies Revealed in Our Time?

The woman and the dragon from
Revelation by William Blake
I was talking with a friend yesterday about the "mark of the beast" in the Book of Revelation. Many Catholics never read the book because it's difficult and its symbolism is obscure, but they would be familiar with it. Certainly they would recognize this passage which pretty much sums up the condition of many in the pews today:
I know your deeds; I know you are neither hot nor cold. How I wish you were one or the other -- hot or cold! But because you are lukewarm neither hot nor cold, I will spew out of my mouth. (Rev. 3:15-17)
They would also recognize the passage telling the story of "the woman about to give birth" and the dragon whose tail sweeps a third of the stars from the sky and plans to devour her child when he's born. We hear it on the Feast of the Assumption.

John wrote the Book of Revelation to give hope to the persecuted Christians of his time facing murderous Roman despots like Nero and Domitian:

Nabi Sayeth: The Chickens Have Come Home to Roost!

Nabi Sayeth: There is an old saying, “The chickens are coming home to roost.”

The idea goes back to Chaucer, though he expressed it rather differently in The Parson’s Tale, around 1390, writing that curses are like “a bird that returns again to his own nest”.

Re Pope Francis: Is the Tiger Changing His Stripes?

Will the real Pope Francis please stand up!
I have read a number of quotes from the pope's new book about how homosexuals should not enter our seminaries or become priests. Wow! Wonderful words, eh? And, in light of the clergy homosexual abuse crisis, prudent indeed.

And surprising. We haven't heard this from "who am I to judge" Francis.

As Bishop Rene Gracida asks at his blog, "Could it be that this Pope has experienced a sudden, Pauline conversion on the road to Orthodoxy?"
