Hypocrisy on Steroids: Michelle Obama's Speech at the DNC (Part 1)

I watched Michelle Obama's speech out of curiosity well aware that "curiosity killed the cat." If one could die from an overdose of hypocrisy, I'd be dead now. The hypocrisy meter began rising from the first minute into her speech when when Michelle described the magic spreading across "this country we love."

Really? She loves our country?

I have no doubt the Obamas love the power and wealth they've harvested from the taxpayers, but the country? From sea to shining sea with all those fly-over deplorables in middle America?

Remember when Michelle said this:

Will You Be Able to Withstand the Trial?

"Through Christ the eyes of our hearts are opened, and our weak and clouded understanding reaches up toward the light."

St. Clement, Letter to the Corinthians

We live in challenging times, but we are not the first. St. Clement was a pope and martyr. He's mentioned in the Roman Canon of the Mass and was the fourth to sit in Peter's chair. Murdered under the reign of Trajan, he was joined by tens of thousands of other Christians including St. Ignatius of Antioch who died about ten years later. The first century was, indeed, a bloody time and Trajan one of the most eager to persecute, even his own faithful lieutenants:

Sunday Meditation by Fr. Tom Collins

Defend us, St. Michael against the
wiles of the evil one.

Editor's note: I received this email and article from Fr. Tom a few days ago and offer it as a Sunday meditation. All of us need to strive against the sins of greed and envy and the temptations to indifference and lack of charity.

I especially want to highlight the quote Father offers from a bishop's homily. We need one another. To let ourselves be consumed by hate is to attack our very selves. "Pray for your enemy; do good to those who hate you." Let us pray today for our poor, divided country - that through the intercession of Our Lady, our land will be healed.

After Five Days of Sanity with St. Ignatius, a Return to Insanity!

Insanity: This white elitist makes big bucks
pandering to politically correct racist nonsense.
This is what the schools are pushing!
I didn't sleep very well on retreat. Having arrived with a basketful of stressers, like the possibility of my husband needing a replacement of his knee replacement (No longer a possibility, but a surety), the serious illness of a friend (She's back in the hospital), and some other issues (sigh),  I needed to make a serious effort to enter into the meditations. So many distractions!

Sunday Meditation: Atone for the Scandal of the Pope of "Sustainable Development"

Where was Our Lady of Aparecida?
"Sustainable development" is the buzz phrase used by Marxist socialists to bring in the one world Masonic order.

Read that sentence again!

Sustainable development is used to advance abortion, contraception, population control and tyranny over people (for their own good, of course)! Many of the Catholic charities are already knee deep in these moral evils!

And now... consider how the Vatican has become the #1 cheerleader for sustainable development and integral ecology partnering with the very worst of the secular world's leaders and spokesmen.

One world government is what the Amazon Synod is all about. It is Marxist and Masonic to the core. Michael Hichborn at the Lepanto Institute was talking about it the other night to the inner circle group of the Lepanto Institute. It's well worth watching!

Lauren Southern's Documentary on the Genocide of White South African Farmers

"It's more dangerous to be a white farmer in South Africa than a US soldier on the front lines in Afghanistan or Iraq." The mainstream media refuses to report the genocide of South African white farmers. Why? It's worth the hour spent to watch Lauren Southern's documentary to decide for yourself.

The first 12 minutes of the film is the history of South Africa from 1650 to today for a basic understanding of the terrible current situation. See the results of communist/socialist, social justice, Marxist and leftist governance. Lauren does a superb job of reporting by showing both sides of the issue so take time out from the Church's current homosexual abuse crisis, Europe's current invasion by Islam and the left's hatred of President Trump to see the horror of life for white farmers in South Africa.

The Collection for the Campaign for Human Development: BOYCOTT IT!

Alinsky bucksBut don't ignore it. Put "Alinsky bucks" in the basket to send the bishops and your pastor a message.

And you might also send the week's parish donation to another worthy Catholic charity as a protest for the parish taking up the collection.

Reflections on Great Britain's Vote to Exit the EU

Please welcome my friend and colleague Chriss Rainey to the Les Femmes team. This is her first contribution as a contributor and since she isn't comfortable posting yet, I'm doing it for her. I look forward to her thoughts and opinions on a wide range of issues that affect Catholics.

Who will lead them?
by Chriss Rainey

I watched the news last night as the votes came in across Great Britain. By 11 PM I realized that in England most people were asleep and had gone to bed not knowing the outcome of this world changing referendum. Many who wanted to stay in the socialist EU woke up SHOCKED this morning. They had fooled themselves into believing they could demonize people and shame them into taking a position contrary to what they truly believe. Polls on election day indicated that the REMAIN contingent would win but, what the polls didn't take into account was the fact people were intent on following their heartfelt convictions even if they were "politically incorrect."
