The hysteria from liberals expressing terror and despair because of Trump's win are baffling. He was already president for four years, folks, and the world did not end! What's with all the Chicken Littles running around screaming, "The sky is falling; the sky is falling!" I get it with the drive-by media and the liberal elite. They thrive on fear. Look what they did to us during COVID. But, really, parents saying their children are terrified? College students needing coloring books and teddy bears to alleviate their panic? Average Janes and Joes in tears and going into total, unhinged meltdown mode?

The other day I wrote about happiness and the etymology of the word from Middle English meaning "luck, prosperity, and advantageous circumstances." That association can't hold up. Wealth and happiness are often mutually exclusive. How many rich people do you know or read about whose lives are a mess and families are miserable? Think of Hollywood, a glamorous hellhole filled with prosperous, unhappy people. A long-term marriage is rare, divorce and cohabitation the norm. How many wealthy people seek oblivion in drugs and alcohol. How many are addicted to sex and pornography? How many commit suicide?

Priests Encourage Pokemon Seekers to Seek Christ

I'm a little bemused by the Pokemon craze, but it seems a harmless game. When I first heard about it and how it's played I came to the conclusion that it's similar to geocaching except that the Pokemons are virtual rather than real. So instead of finding a "treasure" and swapping little trinkets, you "capture" a virtual Pokemon. I was intrigued when I read this bit from the article above which quotes a priest from my own diocese:
