Cleaning closets and drawers merits a low spot on the chore list. Laundry, dusting, vacuuming, dishes, meal prep...they all take precedence over the unseen clutter that attacks you when you open a closet door.

Sunday Meditation: Are you Grieving? Grieve Like a Christian and Imitate Mary.
![]() |
| And thy own soul a sword shall pierce, that, out of many hearts, thoughts may be revealed. (Luke 2:35) |
From The Imitation of Mary:
The Believer:
Noble Virgin, can we show Jesus true love only by following Him to Calvary and suffering with Him? Can we not also show our love in tranquility and peace?Mary:

Reflecting on Lost Friends and Difficult Relationships
Grief has a way of taking over your life: impacting your thoughts, your decisions, the way you feel when you get up in the morning, the way you organize your day. Sometimes I can't think. And so I do some mindless task: dusting, cleaning the bathroom, sweeping the front porch. But I can't help, in the midst of these mindless chores, thinking about and remembering past losses and griefs.

After Suicide: The Paralysis of Grief
I was treading water in the pool today. It seems appropriate. Right now I feel like my life is treading water.
It's hard to do anything, although the wash has to be done, the bathrooms cleaned, the beds changed, groceries to be purchases, and meals to be cooked. Two of our children and their families were here for Father's Day and I was prepping the meals the day before, setting tables, etc.
Those things act a little like an anesthetic. You can't totally quit and they dull the pain. And you have to smile watching a three year old getting a swim lesson from his daddy.

Cry, Baby, Cry: The Reason John Podesta Came Out to Concede
![]() |
| It wasn't supposed to end this way! |
After reading the link above, I can honestly say, this is exactly
why I would never vote for a woman for president. We cry. Inconsolably. EVEN the toughest women among
us and apparently Hillary is no exception.
Men also cry, but in almost every case it is when the love in their
heart overflows, not when they are disappointed or unable to cope. Almost never does it
prevent them from doing what must be done when they are called to act. They are not disabled by their tears, they
are, in fact, often inspired by them.
