A Volunteer at a Gay Group Attacks Family Research Council...

...and they can't decide if it's a hate crime. What if a Christian went into the "gay" group's lobby and shot somebody there. Do you think it would take a nano second before every "gay" group in the country was decrying violence against "gays?" For more see Guard Shot at FRC by Pro-Homosexual Advocate

Was Matthew Owens the Victim of Hate?

It's interesting. Alabama police are saying the assault on Matthew Owens is not a hate crime despite the fact that it was a gang of blacks who attacked him and one mentioned getting even for Trayvon Martin.  It's also interesting that most of the stories are talking about Matthew Owens fussing at a group of "children" which in my mind conjures up images of little kids. But apparently the "children" involved were teenagers who came back with adults armed to the teeth with belt buckles, metal pipes, etc. to beat Owens to a pulp.

And is the gal on the news serious when she calls the beating an "accident?" There was nothing accidental about it.

Why don't we just get rid of the "hate crime" designation altogether. Is assaulting and stealing the purse from an old white lady, less offensive than assaulting and robbing somebody who's (take your pick) black, Hispanic, gay, Muslim, etc.? The fact is that our culture is becoming more polarized. Politicians use the politics of division to strengthen their base. It's an evil way to do business, but apparently works.

Bad News for Free Speech - HR 1913 Passed in House

I got word a few minutes ago from a friend who works on the the Hill that H.R. 1913 titled Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009, the so-called hate-crimes bill, passed in the House 249 to 175. (You can read it here.) While this bill primarily addresses violent crime, it marks the beginning of criminalizing speech and thought. Remember when abortion was allowed for the hard cases? Rape and incest were the wedges that led to Roe v. Wade and abortion on demand.

H.R. 1913 offers bait (i.e., grant money) to get local governments to call crimes against certain groups "hate crimes." They can collect hundreds of thousands of dollars to "help" them in their investigations. What does that mean? I think it will do two things: first, encourage local governments to designate more crimes as "hate crimes" (Guess who will be demanding that?), and, second, get them to put more effort into investigating the crimes that are eligible for grants. (Remember, "Love of money is the root of all evil.")

Think about it. If your six-year-old or your grandmother is kidnapped and murdered that won't qualify as a "hate crime" (unless Granny is a lesbian or little Tommy is attending gay pre-school). But if a homosexual is beaten up and robbed, the gay community will demand it be designated a "hate crime" even if the robber mugged the guy in the dark down the street from the Dairy Queen.

This is a totally unnecessary bill. It is already criminal to commit acts of violence. The law already takes motivation into account by charging the accused by degrees. First degree murder is not treated the same as manslaughter, for example.

But that is irrelevant because this bill is really all about the next step which is criminalizing speech condemning homosexual behavior. We've already seen gay activists attack those who supported Proposition 8 in California as hate-mongers. Any woman who disagrees with them is a "dumb b****" as misogynist gay activist Perez Hilton so eloquently informed us. The gay community wants legislation to shut their opponents up and prevent any criticism of their agenda. This bill moves the law a giant step in that direction.

We already have the template for what this means - Canada. Preachers there have been fined and imprisoned for quoting the Bible. A Canadian acquaintance emailed me that she has to be very careful about what she puts on her blog. There is no free speech on homosexuality in Canada.

Don't think it can happen here?

Wake up!

N.B. Two years ago a similar bill was vetoed by George Bush. Read about it here. You can see the text of that bill here.

Harrassment of Ex-Gays Ignored

Did you ever hear of Bart Allen? Not likely. In 2001 Bart asked his homosexual partner to move out of his apartment because he was sick of living the sodomite lifestyle. The man gave back his key and left. Bart asked the management to change the locks, but the apartment manager assured him they couldn't be duplicated. Unfortunately for Bart, his ex-partner managed to get into the apartment and he strangled Bart in his bed with his bare hands and a dog leash. Bart's parents began a ministry called Hope for the Broken Heart to share Bart's story with others and encourage those trying to leave the gay lifestyle.

While what happened to Bart is extreme, it's not unusual for those trying to change their behavior and those supporting them to suffer serious harrassment. An incident that happened at the 2007 Arlington County Fair in Virginia is an example. An ex-gay volunteer manning the PFOX booth was attacked and assaulted by a militant gay. The victim declined to press charges (like the Christians attacked in the Castro District of San Francisco).

The gay community ended up lying and slandering PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays) Executive Director Regina Griggs for reporting on the incident claiming she fabricated it. Police, however, confirmed the story including the fact that they escorted the attacker off the premises. The lies and slander against Griggs were never corrected on the misnamed Truth Wins Out website which is a gay propaganda tool. Militant gay Arlington Board member Jay Fisette was challenged with the error by World Net Daily, but never corrected it. In fact, after police confirmation of the PFOX version of events, Fisette and others implied the police were helping corroborate a false story and they just continued spinning their version with Metro Weekly.

Homosexuals promote the view that they are the only ones who ever suffer from hate crimes even as they initiate them against those who dare to oppose them. Anyone who challenges the activist gay agenda is slammed figuratively and literally as the attacks on churches supporting Proposition 8 recently showed.

In Fact, gays actually have a word for their systematic lies against those who stand against them. It's called "jamming" a strategy of accusing opponents of hate, homophobia, etc. Those who fight against the gay agenda are ridiculed and attacked to shut them up. Gay activists claim they have no agenda despite a 1989 book that outlines the strategy for getting the agenda adopted. They want nothing less than the complete transformation of society to accept homosexual sodomy as normal, mainstream, and good and they are close to achieving it.

The book is called After the Ball. An excellent commentary by Albert Mohler describes the effectiveness of Kirk and Madsen's call to gay arms. In only 20 years gays have come close to achieving the homosexualization of every area of the culture including elementary school. The most vulnerable are adolescent boys, who in homosexual slang, are "chickens" for the "chicken hawks" or "chicken pluckers" who are older homosexual men. Adolescent boys are young and AIDS-free after all which makes them particularly attractive.

Not all homosexuals are "gay" in the sense of promoting the gay agenda. I suspect many feel tortured by their inclincations. That was certainly the case for Bart Allen.

In 2009 why not spiritually adopt a gay activist with the special intention of praying for him or her to leave the gay lifestyle. Imagine thousands of ex-gays who, like the prodigal son, exchange life in the pigpen for a return to the Father's house. What rejoicing in heaven there would be.

From the Feeding the Christians to the Lions Watch

A group of Christians who regularly meet on a corner in the Castro District of San Francisco to pray and witness were surrounded by a homosexual mob on Friday night; things got ugly and physical. Homosexual activists surrounded the small band, began to blow whistles in their ears, snatched a Bible from one, hit a young woman, knocked her to the ground, and kicked her. They also groped and attempted to pull down the pants of one of the group leaders who was leading the Christians in song and prayer. The Christian men surrounded the women in the group to protect them.

As things got nastier, police in riot gear showed up to keep the peace and escort the Christians safely out of the area. This is tolerance? Who's demonstrating hate here? You have free speech except in the Castro District of San Francisco? Get used to it and read the news items because this type of thing can be expected in cities all over the United States. There is also a homosexual hate list to target anyone who contributed over $1,000 to the Proposition 8 campaign. Browse the list. A wedding planner gave $10,000. Think about it. She will be forced to plan same-sex weddings. If she's a Christian she will have to close her business rather than cooperate with a grave moral evil. Gay "marriage" has ramifications many have not thought about. Forget choice; there will be NO CHOICE FOR CHRISTIANS. "Feed them to the lions" will be the mantra. As a rescuer on the front lines of the abortion wars, I've heard it before.

Governor Schwarzenegger threw gasoline on the fire by encouraging the homosexuals to continue their opposition to Proposition 8. What they can't get through the vote, they will force through the courts. The will of the people means nothing! Christians, wake up! You helped to elect a man who champions abortion and homosexual "rights". He will crush YOUR rights if he can.

I remember the March for Life the year the feminists were afraid the Supreme Court would overturn Roe v. Wade with the Webster v. Reproductive Health decision. When pro-lifers marched down Constitution Avenue that year, hundreds of feminist and gay activists many dressed in black leather with body piercings, spiked hair and signs spouting blasphemy and satanic messages lined the streets screaming obscenities at the peaceful marchers. More than a few dangled plastic baby models suspended from nooses. I predict the March for Life this year will be just as confrontational. Barack Obama has not brought unity, but hostile division. If the anti-Christian bigots could feed us to the lions they gladly would.

Pray and fast for Christ's enemies. And say over and over, "Father forgive them, they don't know what they are doing." But don't follow the example of the young woman who refused to press charges against her attackers. If they assault you, make them accountable. It's called tough love. Then if they get a prison sentence visit them in jail. When Jesus said turn the other cheek, he wasn't advising us to be doormats.

More homosexual hate

The Christian Anti-Defamation Commission website is documenting attacks by gay activists. Will homosexuals be held accountable for their hate crimes? Don't hold you breath, but take action. Sign the petition calling on California Attorney General Edmund Brown, Jr. to uphold the law (CA penal code 302) against disrupting church services. Vandalism, intimidation, and assault are the weapons of anti-Christian homosexual thugs. Return their hate with love, but be prepared to suffer for Christ.
