Eat the Rich: Then What?

The video below is almost two years old and since then we've moved a lot closer to the economic cliff. If you aren't nervous, you should be....especially if you are dependent on government to take care of you. Because the nanny state is running out of goodies and the only way to prop things up is print more money which increases inflation. So if you think you're poor now, just wait until your weekly grocery bill is $600.00 and you're eating oatmeal and beans. As of today, the national debt is moving rapidly toward $16.5 trillion dollars. Every U.S. citizen's share of the debt is over $52,000. According to Thomas Schatz, President of the Council for Citizens Against Government Waste:
The national debt has increased from $10.6 trillion to $16 trillion, or 50 percent, since President Obama took office.
The national debt will increase from $16 trillion to $25.4 trillion in 2022, or 59 percent, under President Obama’s budget plans.
Every man, woman, and child in the United States owes more than $50,000 as his or her share of the national debt. (Read the rest....)
This administration has a death wish for the U.S. and it is rapidly bringing it about. I sure don't want to hear whining from the Obama supporters when the inevitable happens.

Of Liars and Politicians

Hat tip to Political Brambles for this video. Now how can Obama blame all these results on George Bush?

Yikes!

You may think this doesn't matter because you still have a job and can afford the good things of life. Wait until hyper-inflation hits and your salary will buy only 50% of what it could in the past. The writing is on the wall, folks. Government can't fix the problem; it is the problem. Vote for those who want to limit government.

Impact of the Debt Deal -- No Good News!

According to the NY Times:
Disapproval Rate for Congress at Record 82% After Debt Talks

U.S. loses our AAA rating:
US Rating Cut by S&P for First Time on Deficit Reduction Pact

The Public isn't buying cut promises:
62% Think Congress Unlikely to Cut Spending As Promised by One Trillion Dollars Over Next 10 Years

This monster is insatiable:
U.S. eats up most of debt limit in one day

Many people have given up hope of getting a job:
Unemployment Report August 5, 2011: Discouraging

A country that has traded the lives of its children for "stuff" shouldn't be surprised that it is being punished economically. You can blame Congress or the White House, but the indifference and practical acceptance of child-killing by the people is the real cause of our woes. Sin is the cause of all unhappiness. But just like liberals promise we can spend our way out of debt, some believe compounding sin by approving same-sex marriage will bring us utopia. Maybe they need to interview the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah.

President Obama: He'll Cut $100 million in spending...

Before you get too impressed with President Obama's cost-cutting measures, watch this visualization and see what it really means. Still impressed? Meanwhile, the national debt keeps on growing...and growing...and growing...and....

Headshaking Laugh of the Day: Stimulus Spends Millions on Signs Advertising Stimulus!

You gotta give it to President Obama. He knows how to advertise himself and millions of "stimulus" dollars have gone for exactly that - advertising the Democrats American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Signs are popping up all over the country advertising stimulus projects, at least $9 million worth, although, since reporting is sketchy, it is proably much more.

According to ABC News reporting in July, a single 10 X 11 foot sign at Dulles Airport cost a cool $10,000. And similar signs are all over the country! Illinois spent more than a million on signs. The Dept. of Transportation spent over $8 million -- all at the direction of the White House Budget Office. Call it taxpayer-funded Democratic campaigning. HUD actually suggested signs that read, "Funded by: American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Barack Obama, President."

When my husband and I drove the Skyline Drive recently we saw huge ARRA signs at many closed overlooks where no work was going on. Hey...they could have had a portable sign and moved it around as they repaired the overlooks if they insisted on the signs. But no, post signs, close overlooks, and go up to Skyland for coffee. Taxpayers are just lambs to be fleeced by this administration for the benefit of the ruling elite. Well, at least the sign makers are working.

For more read....

One wag photoshopped the sign to express his feelings toward the massive borrowing these "stimulus" programs require. Remember, there's no such thing as a free lunch. But there's something particularly pernicious about eating your feast and making your yet unborn grandkids pay for it.

National Debt Tops 13 Trillion and No End in Sight

Do you try to keep your family's spending under control? You should. It's immoral to contract a debt you have no way of paying off. And that is exactly what Congress is doing. It is impossible for the government contracting the debt to pay it off in any reasonable period of time. So every child born in the United States is burdened with a massive debt he did not incur and cannot pay off in his lifetime.

Since Obama took office (about 500 days ago) his government has added $4.9 billion A DAY to the national debt. (Compare that to profligate spender George Bush at $1.7 billion a day.) That's money that every taxpayer owes. But since all of us living today can't pay it off, our children and grandchildren are indebted as well. So we are the wage slaves of a government that is basically using us as collateral.

Here's what the American Thinker blog says:
The events that are transpiring in Europe are what a script writer would call foreshadowing of the events that will take place in America if the government continues to spend more money than the U.S. Treasury takes in. But these lessons are seemingly lost on American socialists as they push ahead at top speed to institute the Obama socialist agenda by packing the federal budget with huge amounts of pork. At the current rate of spending the United States will be upside down in its debt obligations by next year. That is to say that America will owe more than its annual GDP. Currently the national debt is $12.9 trillion, and our GDP is $13.7 Trillion. Next year, the federal government will have to borrow $1.4 trillion to cover all of the expenditures in the budget. The collateral the government will use to secure these loans is the American tax payer. The taxpayers may not know it, (and the politicians hope they never find out) but the share of the national debt that each taxpayer owes right now is $117,380.00, essentially two years of engenderment, working off the debt for each household based on annual household incomes.
Where are the statements from the bishops condemning this massive enslavement by the government of both current and future generations? Maybe they just haven't got a clue and believe money grows on trees!

And as for Obama -- well all his talk about plans to control spending are that -- just talk. He is leading the U.S. toward economic disaster. Is his administration stupid or is this part of the plan?
