Of Rebates and Medicaid Fraud! The Democrats' Shell Game Guarantees Free Health Care for Illegals

As I was sitting at the computer, my husband brought in a $400 check for me to endorse, our rebate from the state of Virginia because they had a surplus. Wow! I don't think that's ever happened before. Returning money to the taxpayers? What a thought! Can you imagine that happening with a Democrat administration? All their freebies go to illegals compliments of the raped taxpayers.

The Debt Disaster

The debt agreement this week guaranteed that the deficit will rise. It may, in fact, make default inevitable. When your baseline government spending rises, you can't call it a reduction. As the article says, the U.S. has a mortal wound and the bandaid just ain't going to stop the bleeding artery.

The Train Wreck is Coming

If we don't control our national debt, get ready to take the imminent crash position.

What the Debt Limit Battle Is All About
"The Obama Democrats have raised [federal spending] to 24 or 25 percent [of the gross domestic product]. And the president's budget projects that that percentage will stay the same or increase far into the future.

"In the process, the national debt as a percentage of gross domestic product has increased from a manageable 40 percent in 2008 to 62 percent this year and an estimated 72 percent in 2012. And it's headed to the 90 percent level that economists Kenneth Rogoff and Carmen Reinhart have identified as the danger point, when governments face fiscal collapse."

58% of Americans favor Government Shutdown

According to a Rasmussen poll 58% of Americans prefer a partial federal government shutdown to continuing spending at last year's level. According to the poll:
The partisan differences are striking. Fifty-eight percent (58%) of Democrats prefer avoiding a shutdown by going with current spending levels. But 80% of Republicans -- and 59% of voters not affiliated with either major party -- think a shutdown is a better option until the two sides can agree on spending cuts.... Payments for things like Social Security, Medicare and unemployment benefits would continue, however....

Democrats are worried about the economic impact of a partial government shutdown. Sixty-nine percent (69%) of those in the president’s party say a shutdown would be bad for the economy. However, Republicans and unaffiliated voters are evenly divided on the topic with nearly as many saying a shutdown would be good for the economy as bad....
In general, just 27% of all voters think Congress should now authorize spending for 2011 at the same levels as last year. Six percent (6%) want more government spending, but 61% say Congress should authorize less spending that there was the year before.

The majority of voters for years have said that cutting taxes and reducing government spending are best for the economy. (my emphasis)
Is anybody listening on either side of the aisle?

Even Huffington Thinks Obama Goofed!

Unemployment close to 10%...GM and Chrysler with dismal stats despite bailout...economic bad news by the minute...and the president thought spending 100 million bucks to lobby for the Olympics was justified! How out of touch can a man be?
