Thank God There's Something to Laugh About!

You just gotta be grateful for Joe Biden. He gives us something to laugh about. Did you hear about him saying his dad "respected Obama"...well..."would've respected Obama." I guess he was trying to channel his dad.

Steve Bridges as President Barack Obama

I can't believe this is the same guy who did George Bush at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner in tandem with the real thing. He's got Obama nailed both looks and voice. Gotta give his prosthetic makeup artist, Kevin Haney, a big high five. I've read on several blogs that President Obama is not amused, but I couldn't find any proof that he's tried to stop Bridges' act as some said. It's believable. Liberals often lack an honest sense of humor, especially self-deprecating humor. Of course, they have their own brand of sick humor like Ted Kennedy who was always asking if anyone had heard a good Chappaquidick joke lately. Killing a young woman is great fodder for a belly laugh.

Enjoy the video. It's good, clean fun (Bridges is the son of a Baptist preacher after all). And if you want to read more about Steve go here.

Pro-Abort Senator Boxer: She Works Hard to Take-a Your Money!

Barbara Boxer is apparently one more Democrat who loathes the military. I enjoyed this spoof on her notorious remark correcting a military officer for being polite. But actually, Ma'am is a courtesy she doesn't deserve. Let's pray she gets the boot on election day.

Defining the Difference between Democrats and Republicans

The joke below has been circulating on the internet, and is worth posting to give my conservative friends a laugh. There certainly isn't much to laugh at these days with liberalism destroying the country. Now some Democrats may take offense at the idea that they aren't hard-working and I acknowledge that I know many who are - good hard-working family folk, which leads me to believe they are really conservatives at heart. They just don't know it - yet.

What do they have in common with the Democrats in Congress? Not much. Most Democrats in Congress are lawyers. As Bruce Walker pointed out in a 2008 Article for American Thinker, the Democrats are the lawyers' party. "Every Democrat [presidential] nominee since 1984 went to law school (although Gore did not graduate.) Every Democrat vice presidential nominee since 1976, except for Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school. Look at the Democrat Party in Congress: the Majority Leader in each house is a lawyer." And most of the members are lawyers as well.

Compare that to the Republican party, Walker says. "The Republican Party is different. President Bush and Vice President Cheney were not lawyers, but businessmen. The leaders of the Republican Revolution were not lawyers. Newt Gingrich was a history professor; Tom Delay was an exterminator; and Dick Armey was an economist. House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastic manufacturer, not a lawyer. The former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is a heart surgeon. Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer? Gerald Ford, who left office thirty-one years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976. The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work."

Yup! That's why most business owners who actually make things and provide real services (other than those making money by feeding at the public trough) are conservative. Small business owners invariably support Republican principles because they enable business to prosper and grow offering jobs and security to American families. Those employed by government tend to be Democrats.

And after all that, if you still want to read the joke - here it is:

My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day. She has her food prepared for her. She can eat whenever she wants, 24/7/365. Her meals are provided at no cost to her. She visits the Dr. once a year for her checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise.

For this she pays nothing, and nothing is required of her. She lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than she needs, but she is not required to do any upkeep. If she makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. She has her choice of luxurious places to sleep. She receives these accommodations absolutely free. She is living like a queen, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of her costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day.

I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head; my dog is a democrat.

There's More than One Way to Use a Logo!

If you haven't watched the video I posted yesterday, take a look and you'll understand what got me thinking about the signature logo of the great O and looking at bumper stickers using it to send a contrary message. All these bumper stickers except one use the Obama logo to mock the messiah-in-chief. And the last one I designed myself at Build a Sign. I will proudly display it on my bumper and pray the rosary that the Lord saves us from wicked leaders.

A lot of folks should put this one on their bumper:

My mom probably wouldn't approve of the next one, but it made me (and my husband) laugh. Anything that makes you laugh these days (a good healthy laugh, not a lewd snicker) is a winner in my book.

Another LOL because it's so true. Every time Obama opens his mouth he's whining about Bush, whining about the Republicans, whining about the taxpayers, whining about Creigh Deeds, whining about the tea party activists, etc., etc., (yawn), etc....

I read somewhere that giving Obama the Nobel prize was like giving an athlete the Heisman Trophy for what he might do in the future. He should be embarrassed and it was laughable as this bumper sticker illustrates:

Another on-target message. The selling of socialism goes on with oily promises served up in a useless elixir that tastes bad and is likely to poison the consumer.

Lots of folks (especially the independents) have poured out the Kool-Aid and are refilling the pitcher with tea.

This next sticker is no laughing matter because it's true. And the liberals are going about it with haste. If we don't stop them, the American ship may sink.

All I can say about this one is YES! YES! YES! Start working now for pro-life politicians at the grass roots. Let's build momentum for a serious change with our eyes on the 2010 midterm elections and then on to 2012.

We've seen lots of isms last century and they continue to influence the early years of the 21st. I'm interested in only two isms: Catholicism and patriotism.

Joe Wilson got beat up, but his spontaneous outburst was the normal reaction of a real man distressed at hearing a baldfaced liar trying to sell his bill of goods to the country. May he win re-election in a landslide!

I like this next one a lot, but wondered if a lot of people (considering the dumbing down of America) just wouldn't get it. Do kids even learn about Samuel Morse any more? Sadly, sending messages these days is all about texting (or maybe sexting).

So I decided to rework it in letters with a message for the people of God. I went to Build a sign and here's what I got. What do you think?

Virginia Attorney General's Race Gets Comical

Ken Cuccinelli and Steve Shannon recently debated for the post of Attorney General of Virginia. The debate turned comical when, at the end of the debate, each candidate had the opportunity to ask the other a question. Now think about it. If you were applying a job and wanted to show your competence, wouldn't you do your homework and check out exactly what the job entailed? How hard would that be?

But Steve Shannon showed he had absolutely no idea what the job entails. All he could do was spout about "the bureaucracy" and Cuccinelli not having the experience for the job because he hasn't been a prosecutor. Well, the fact is that Shannon isn't running for prosecutor. He's running for Attorney General and he doesn't even know what the job involves. If he couldn't do his homework on the basic duties of the job he wants, what will he be in office? One more incompetent politician?

Help Ken buy air time in these last few weeks before the election. Donate here.

Too funny (and too sadly true) not to share.

Gotta keep a sense of humour these days. I know, I know...it's not easy with "the one" in the White House and both houses of Congress overrun by the criminally insane. But don't panic. God is still God and His perfect justice will not be thwarted. Remember scripture. Don't fear the one who can kill the body, but the one who can cast the soul into Gehenna. Pray hard. And for another laugh go here.

You'll know you're on Baracky Road if...

There's a joke circulating the internet about a new ice cream called "Baracky Road" that's half chocolate, half vanilla and surrounded by flakes and nuts.

The concept of "Baracky Road" got me thinking about redneck jokes. (I admit it; my mind makes weird connections; must be a right-brain/left-brain thing.) Anyway, you know how redneck jokes start: "You might be a redneck if...." Well I began thinking up endings for "You might be on Baracky Road if...." Here are a few I came up with.

You might be on Baracky Rd. if... there's a taxpayer toll booth every ten feet and an abortion mill on every corner.

You might be on Baracky Rd. if... you see the presidential limo riding behind a tow vehicle pulling a widescreen teleprompter.

You might be on Baracky Rd. if... all the billboards read "Ban Conservative Talk Radio."

You might be on Baracky Rd. if... you pass a Catholic college with a Jesuit standing at the gate holding a "Welcome, Mr. President" sign in one hand and an honorary doctorate degree in the other surrounded by cops in riot gear arresting elderly nuns and priests.

You might be on Baracky Rd. if... you keep having to stop for "gay pride" parades with participants in jock straps and lipstick demonstrating for same sex marriage.

You might be on Baracky Rd. if... every courthouse and church has its religious symbols covered in black crepe.

You might be on Baracky Rd. if... there are homeless folks standing at busy intersections with signs reading "will work for ACORN registering dead people and Disney characters."

Well, I'm starting to run down. What's your Baracky Rd. joke? Bet there are some good possibilities using characters like Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Barney Frank, and Nancy Pelosi. Have fun and please share!
