I spent years sidewalk counseling at an abortion mill in Falls Church where Joel Match did his dirty work. Some friends and I also picketed his house once and even spoke to him occasionally outside the abortion mill. Well, now they've finally caught up with the drug-using, wife beating child killer. It all goes together and this is one more example of how abortion is anything but "safe and legal." It is a business loaded with bottom feeders who can't make it in legitimate medicine. Thank God after all these years Joel Match is finally being stopped. Where were all the feminists who should have been defending women from this predator?

Big Brother government is on a rampage against super-sized sodas -- at least in New York City where obesity is a serious problem.. No doubt you've read about Mayor Bloomberg's effort to make it illegal for fast food establishments and street vendors to sell sodas larger than eight ounces.

I wish I could say this was a joke, but he's really serious. This is the same city that was going to outlaw salt added to restaurant food. (Did that goofy law pass? Anyone? Anyone?) Well, we all know that obesity is a BiiiiiiiiG problem and the government is busy making plans to send the SWAT team to in to raid the pantry.

What is it with liberals anyway? They talk about being pro-choice, but want to eliminate everybody's right to choose their own junk food. Does anyone really believe that a law banning super-sized sodas will change the eating habits of the obese? Dream on! And here's what the view of this nonsense is from the U.K. calling it a "whiff of liberal fascism." Yup, that about sums it up.

It's First Friday, Are You Going to Mass?

The promises associated with First Friday are wonderful! Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary and revealed his Sacred Heart burning with love for mankind. The nine First Fridays make me think of the nine months of carrying a child. Think of it -- making nine First Fridays can give birth to a lifelong devotion to the heart of Jesus that can make each of us, in the words of St. Teresa of Avila, a "burning furnace of charity." Ah...how I long for that gift.

O Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto thine.

Pray for Scott Walker

In the final days before the Wisconsin recall election, please pray for Governor Scott Walker. He has hung in, sticking to his positions, and never backing down from the tough fight. None of the dire consequences predicted by the union thugs have come to pass. No public workers have been fired or lost their jobs. No schools are collapsing. The economy in Wisconsin is rebounding and he's kept his pledge not to raise taxes. The union thugs who trashed the capitol, organized public employee sick outs, and intimidated lawmakers who wouldn't carry their bucket of sewage are losing the battle. If you want to know more about Scott Walker go here. And The Wall Street Journal has a great article about the success of Walker's reforms bringing "financial stability" to the state. But most important, Walker is pro-life and the recall battle is also lining up as a pro-life vs. pro-abortion battle. Walker is running on his record and the democrats are scared to death it will mean other states imitating his tough policies. Let's hope so!

Michelle Obama has been described as an "icon of fashion," but she often looks ridiculous to me. Maybe it's just because I'm an old lady, but really, how many other wives of heads of state dress like this? As for the money...I imagine Michelle gets these high fashion duds for free from the designers but the taxpayers are certainly picking up all security and transportation costs that go along with these gad abouts. Does the first couple ever stop campaigning? Or condemning the selfish rich? Hmmm....maybe people in glass houses....
