Nabi Sayeth: I could not help but chuckle as I read an article written about an Archbishop from Australia:
“October 12, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Three days after posting on Twitter that he does not “want or have” Jesus as King, Brisbane Archbishop Coleridge broke his silence, clarifying that he does not “favour royalist ideologies.”
“I worship Jesus reigning from the Cross, whose ‘kingdom is not of this world’ and who ‘casts the mighty from their thrones’...I don’t favour royalist ideologies ‘of this world’ which make Christ remote, the Church triumphalist, the Pope and bishops princely etc.,” he tweeted on Oct. 10.”
Nabi thought: “And I don’t like Hollandaise sauce on my steamed asparagus!” I would like to inform this arrogant, misinformed cleric that most Catholics and non-Catholics could care less about what he “favours”! Faithful Catholics want to know what the Bible teaches, what the Catholic Church’s magisterial teaching has to say...not the personal opinion of some socialist sounding cleric from “down under”.
What does the Bible say about Christ as our King?
-Matthew 2:2: Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw His star* at its rising and have come to do Him homage.”
-John 18:33: So Pilate went back into the praetorium and summoned Jesus and said to Him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”

And He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on His left. Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
-Matthew 21:5: “Say to daughter Zion, ‘Behold, your king comes to you, meek and riding on an ass, and on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.’”
-Hebrews 1:3: Who is the refulgence of his glory, the very imprint of his being, and Who sustains all things by His mighty word. When He had accomplished purification from sins, He took his seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
-Hebrews 1:8: but of the Son: “Your throne, O God,* stands forever and ever; and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your kingdom.
-Revelations 17:14: They will fight with the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and king of kings, and those with him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
-Revelations 19:16: He has a name written on his cloak and on his thigh, “King of kings and Lord of lords
When the roughly 6000 cardinals and bishops preach the meaningful Gospel to the remaining 20,000 practicing Catholics in the world wake me up!

ReplyDeleteDecades ago Catholic parents realized the Bishops sold out to the Fed and instead of using Catholic textbooks they started buying up cheap secular texts that the school boards were dumping for newer ones. So Catholic parents repaid inflated prices for curricula in tuition bills for what they already purchased with their local tax dollars.
Hence, real catholic textbook publishers were put out of business except for Sadlier who uses writers remotely that they find on the Internet who are not even Degreed.
( One I personally know who was given the offer to write three chapters of a Second Grade Catechism and complained to me she was repeatedly asked to rewrite and dumb it down .) The books list PhD's as the authors when in fact the Doctorate "author" has usually only contributed an article here or there with a concept they think should be included in the newer updated text which they send to the Publisher who sends it to the actual writer.
Colleges and universities also make money on new curriculum replaced every year or so
or "updated".
Can someone tell me how much we need to update the Faith in elementary school catechisms if Jesus Christ and the Faith is the same today as He was yesterday ?
Keeping all this in mind why oh why does any Catholic expect their clergy to be educated any better in Seminary when Parochial education has been on a downward slide for the past fifty some years?
I left the Protestant Church for the Catholic Church and its long, solemn, straight, consistent line of apostolic authority leading to Christ .... only to find the Catholic Bishops have taken my place in my old pew, (folding chair), rocking out with the song leader and Bill, our charismatic pastor dude.
