You would have been forgiven for wondering why, of all places, Trump chose the Madison Square Garden for one of the most important appearances in these last days of campaign.
I would have thought – if you had asked me – that Trump was, like every good candidate, devoting some attention to down ballot races, which is important if the Republicans hope to make inroads in NYS. I think this is certainly one of the reasons for the decision.
However, a couple of days later another, much smarter rationale emerged. The Trump campaign is better aware than even most of us of the extreme affection his supporters have for Trump. They did not want a rally. They wanted a media sensation, they wanted to show to the entire Country the rock star status of the man. [Read the rest here.]
What do I (or you or Mundabor) care about the "rock star status of the man"? Why don't we just vote for Kid Rock or Beyonce? He could as easily have said that the American mob wants bread and circuses and the candidates, who only want to loot the imploding empire, are giving it to them. Certainly he can't talk about Trump's "great" character, but that's what's wrong with Trump--and America. You can make a lot of promises about how great everything will be, but unless you get up off the bar stool and start paying your debts and taking care of your wife and children with a lot of hard work and dedication you're just a big spending fraud who's going to wake up to more debt and people you can't face. Trump will tell any lie to get elected. He tells the Jews to vote for him because he's Israel's best friend. At MSG NYC Rudy (Bldg 7 collapsed how?) Giuliani is telling the crowd that Palestinians teach TWO YEAR OLDS to kill Americans (you're a mother; what could you teach a two year old) and that they're "not OUR friend' like Israel and can't be let into the U.S.

Iran has just announced 200% increase in their defense budget - not to fight Israel (which has nothing but what the US taxpayer gives it while our own people are short changed)--but to fight the US (Jews have spent about $1 billion buying the congress and presidency--pretty cheap considering the billions going to Israel).

Good grief! This is longer than the post. Do you really think people read all this? I was tempted to delete it to avoid reading it myself? As for Trump appearing with Arabs. Catholics have partnered with Muslims at U.N. women's conferences to fight abortion. Some issues and situations make strange bedfellows.

I don't know what world you live in, but we were better off four years ago than now. Some states are abortion free. Others are passing more and more restrictive legislation. What kind of Supreme Court Justices do you think Harris will appoint? How many people will be worse off financially as they tax and spend as if money grows on trees and finance foreign wars while we are invaded at home. I will bow my head to God's Providence whoever is elected, but I know who will be worse for the country.
DeleteI hope voters use common sense. I don't see Kamala Harris being capable of having productive conversations with world leaders and letting more illegal immigrants into our country is not a good move. Those two issues alone should be wake up calls to voters.
ReplyDeleteThat aside, I did pay off my student loan in a reasonable amount of time (having a roommate for a few years helped with that) and as a member of Knights, I was unhappy with how then-Senator Harris (along with Senator Hirono) treated a brother Knight from Nebraska circa 2017 or 2018.
