Do You Try to Avoid Bioengineered Food Products?

I don't know about you, but I'm a label reader at the grocery store. I avoid bioengineered food products, other gmo foods, high fructose corn syrup, and most seed oils. Since most canned soups fall into the bioengineered ingredients no-no list, I've begun making most of my own soups.

Celery soup is a staple in a number of recipes I make regularly. Cheesy potatoes occupies a regular place on the Sunday brunch table and it calls for a can of cream of chicken soup. I always used celery soup instead. Now I make my own. I also like tomato soup and used to gourmet-up canned soup with tomato chunks, basil, wine, and some other herbs. Now I make it from scratch.

Some of my efforts may be wasted. Are the celery, tomatoes, and other vegetables gmo grown like most of the corn in the U.S.? I don't know. While there are labeling laws, lots of loopholes let bioengineered ingredients hit the shelves with no required labeling.

More and more people these days recognize the adulteration of the food supply, and the impact it has on our families. Glyphosate, a toxic pesticide found in Round-Up and other weed killers, has been found in the breast milk of nursing mothers. It's linked to respiratory disorders, liver damage, and is likely carcinogenic according to the WHO [World Health Organization]. It also damages the soil. Round-Up is a multi-billion dollar business. Follow the money. Monsanto is more concerned about the bottom line than the danger to the soil, the crops, the animals, and even to humans. Health begins in the gut, and glyphosate kills the healthy bacteria of animals and humans who consume it. Poisoned fields result in poisoned crops. I don't think we should wring our hands and be afraid every time we eat a meal, but a little common sense with regard to what we put on the table is sensible.

The documentary below illustrates the danger of glyphosate. Just like Big Pharma ignored all the dangers of the COVID gene therapy, Monsanto and their enablers continue to push the lie that glyphosate is safe with no side effects and no long-term problems. Some of the impact on farms: low fertility in animals, diseased crops, etc, aren't restricted to the plant and animal population. You can't eat toxic foods without it impacting your health. Is there a connection between lower fertility, increases in diseases, hormone disruption, etc.? We need more unbiased studies. Are you a label reader? If not, maybe you should be. Watch the documentary. It's chilling but can help you protect yourself and your family by doing what you can to limit your exposure to toxic chemicals in the food supply.
