Cardinal Dolan Won't "Go to the Mat" for the Babies

....maybe he'll change his tune when they start coming for the cardinals.
Cardinal Dolan: Debate on denying Communion to pro-abortion pols ‘in the past’
The Church’s Code of Canon Law states in Canon 915 that those “obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.” Leading Vatican officials, including Pope Benedict XVI himself, have said this canon ought to be applied in the case of pro-abortion Catholic politicians. However, prelates in the West have widely ignored it, and some have openly disagreed.
John Allen, Jr. of the new website Crux, launched as a Catholic initiative under the auspices of the Boston Globe, asked New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan about the issue earlier this month.

More CCHD Poison

While hoping that the Catholic Campaign for Human Development will actually be reformed, faithful Catholics are right to remain skeptical. Prudence dictates continued withholding of contributions from this "Catholic" in name only charity that funnels money to so many immoral organizations. Michael Hichborn details the latest head shaker in his article about the Chelsea Initiative, a group that promotes homosexual activism. CCHD actually tried to convince this pro-homosexual group to KEEP their $40,000 grant after the group returned it saying they could not comply with CCHD rules. HUH? Can somebody at CCHD explain this? Sounds like Chelsea has more integrity than CCHD! Here's what Hichborn says:

BARBARA JOHNSON OWES MOTHER AND
CATHOLIC CHURCH AN APOLOGY

Liberal Media Complicit in Fake 'Lesbian Communion'
Controversy:  ALL

Stafford, VA - Self-identified lesbian Barbara Johnson was denied Holy Communion by a Catholic priest at her mother's funeral. Within two weeks of Johnson taking the story to the media, Father Marcel Guarnizo was relieved of his priestly faculties at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, for reasons that the Archdiocese of Washington claims are unrelated----but also have not explained. Judie Brown, president and co-founder of American Life League, released the following statement:

The only controversy here is that manufactured by Barbara Johnson. The gay-friendly media havepainted her the teary-eyed victim with grossly misrepresented and omitted facts about Ms. Johnson and Catholic teaching in order to further attacks on the Catholic Church.

Ms. Johnson knows full well that the Church considers practicing homosexuality as "intrinsically disordered" and a grave sin. This by itself would bar her from presenting herself to receive the blessed sacrament of Communion. Moreover, in an interview just last year, Johnson claimed Buddhism as her way of life, not Catholicism.

Either of these states disqualifies her from Communion. She nevertheless presented herself and then took the denial of the Blessed Sacrament to the liberal media for political purposes where she was welcomed with open arms to conjure yet another anti-Catholic story.

Holy Communion is not some ceremonial wafer as denigrated by gay-friendly liberal media. The Catholic faithful believe the Host to be the true body of Christ. One must be in a state of graceaccording to Catholic teaching in order to partake this most holy sacrament. The priest has an obligation to make sure that the sacraments are respected and no one is entitled to the Eucharist.

Ms. Johnson selfishly manipulated the funeral of her own mother, a lifelong Catholic, in an attempt to force Father Guarnizo to allow a sacrilege, then accused him of bringing politics into the Church. This selfish anti-Catholic activism shows that Ms. Johnson's statement that Catholics should put aside "political points of view" is sheer hypocrisy.

So no, it is neither Father Guarnizo nor the Catholic Church that should be contrite. Rather, it is Ms. Johnson's disgraceful behavior that obliges an apology to both her mother and her mother's lifelong Church.

FOR ADULTS ONLY: The Dirty Adults at Planned Parenthood

American Life League has issued a new video to replace the one pulled because some girl claimed a copyright infringement. Don't let your kids watch it. Planned Parenthood is sick and the evidence exposed will make you feel sick as well. They not only kill babies waiting to be born, but they engage in the deliberate corruption of the children who made it through the pre-birth gauntlet. That the government is funding this sewage is appalling but not surprising. After all, money makes the world go round. Kathleen Sebelius, head of HHS, was well-supported by the abortion industry. All the liberals. Work to defund Planned Parenthood!

How Planned Parenthood Hooks Kids on Sex

American Life League recently released a video about Planned Parenthood's pornographic assault on young teens. PP's "educational" materials for kids include teaching them how to masturbate, different types of perverse sex, as well as providing graphic cartoons of genitalia and couples engaged in sex. That Planned Parenthood is targeting kids has been going on since Margaret Sanger published her booklet "What Every Girl Should Know." The only difference is the degree and amount of explicit material. Margaret would no doubt be proud of her proteges. Take a look at ALL's report here, but be forewarned. The material exposed is explicit and degenerate and it's aimed at YOUR KIDS. This is the reality of Planned Parenthood.

The Plot Thickens at the USCCB

Charges are flying back and forth over the criticism of John Carr, Director of the peace and social justice department at the USCCB which oversees the Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). The bishop responsible for CCHD, Roger Morin, says all the charges against John Carr are "totally ridiculous." Bishop William Murphy, who chairs the USCCB Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development, went after Carr's accusers telling Catholic News Service,  “I’m concerned about these attacks on John Carr and I know they are false and I think they are even calumnious. I am taking this to be a very sad, sad commentary on the honesty of some people in these pressure groups." Ah yes, the best defense is a good offense. Attack the messenger. It's the same tactic used during the sex abuse scandals when parents were treated like enemies for trying to defend their children from sodomites in the priesthood. Your Excellencies, that strategy didn't work. Where's the openness and transparency you promised? Honesty is certainly at issue here. Perhaps you should examine your own consciences.

Meanwhile, neither bishop addressed the charges which show millions of Catholic dollars being poured into pro-abortion and pro-homosexual groups. But read the CNS article and the American Life League report for yourself. Calling the charges "totally ridiculous" doesn't address the serious scandal of dollars donated for poverty being poured into the coffers of those advocating for abortion, sodomy,  and same-sex marriage. The proof is there and attacking the messenger doesn't address the questions.

In a letter to all diocesan pro-life directors the USCCB's director of the Pro-Life Secretariat, Tom Grenchik defended Carr's pro-life convictions. ALL responded with an open letter to Grenchik pointing out that they never questioned Carr's pro-life beliefs, but the "serious lack of prudence displayed by the USCCB’s social justice arm in its dealings with organizations whose aims directly contradict Church teaching."

Meanwhile the mountain of scandals continues to grow. ALL sent out a news release February 4 detailing a list of heterodox speakers at the upcoming "Social Gathering Conference" which brings together Diocesan Social Justice personnel for a meeting in Washington D.C. February 7-10. Among those on the program is Diana Hayes,  "noted speaker for Call to Action, the 'Catholic' dissident group. Hayes is a homosexuality activist who wrote a book espousing liberation theology, calls for women’s ordination and promotes same-sex 'marriage.'" What a way to educate those responsible for administering social justice programs! Another radical on the agenda is Paul Booth. He and his wife Heather "have served as host committee members for the National Organization for Women's Intrepid Awards Gala." Heather also organized a project called "Jane" in 1965 to help women obtain illegal abortions before Roe v. Wade. That these individuals would be selected for a Catholic gathering  is just one more proof that the "social justice" arm of the bishops is totally corrupt.

I frankly have to laugh at both Bishop Mruphy and Bishop Morin having the gall to allege that those criticizing what's happening at the USCCB made no attempt to contact Carr and CCHD. According to ALL's open letter and an earlier LifeSiteNews story, that simply isn't true. Rob Gaspar of Bellarmine Veritas Ministries and Michael Hichborn of ALL attempted to meet with both John Carr and Ralph McCloud, CCHD director, last fall and were rebuffed.  But, hey, refuse the meeting and then blame the groups for not contacting you! It's a scheme worthy of Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid. In view of the USCCB's close association with the death peddlers in the Democratic party, maybe that's where the bishops are getting their advice. They certainly aren't looking to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
