Fr. Ron Jozwiak Refuses Communion to Kneeling Woman!

I thought priests denying Communion to kneeling parishioners was a thing of the past. Guess I was wrong as today's VORTEX reveals.

Pope Benedict only gave Jesus on the tongue to kneelers.

It was still  happening in my own diocese up until the public exposure of the bully priests and their correction. The last episode I'm aware of was in 2002 when a former pastor of mine refused Communion to Virginia State Delegate Dick Black. The priest took on the wrong guy and the negative publicity, I'm sure, convinced the bishop to instruct the priests to administer Communion to kneelers. After all, if pro-abortion politicians can desecrate the body of the Lord with impunity....

He loudly ordered her to "get up and receive Communion the Catholic way." When she replied, "This is the Catholic way," he walked around her and gave Communion to the next in line. If only she were a pro-abortion politician or a transgender in clown costurme she would have had no problem. But KNEELING AND ON THE TONGUE! Horrors.

Because the priest's actions were so loud and misled the congregation into believing kneeling is not allowed, Rachel wants the bishop to instruct Prince of Peace pastor, Fr. Ron Jozwiak, to make a public apology at all Masses and to instruct the congregation that kneeling is a legitimate, canonically approved, way to receive Holy Communion. Since he's a canon lawyer he probably knows that already, but apparently he believes his opinion trumps canon law.

The only thing that can rein in some of these priests is public correction. Pray for Rachel Madi and the parishioners of Prince of Peace. And you might consider sending a polite letter or e-mail to Archbishop Vigneron urging him to disseminate in the diocesan paper the fact that Catholics are within their rights to kneel for Communion and receive Communion on the tongue. A slap down to Fr. Ron would get the message across to other priests tempted to trampel the rights of their parishioners.

Does the Archdiocese of Detroit have Jurisdiction over RealCatholicTV?

The Archdiocese of Detroit has instructed Mike Voris of RealCatholicTV to stop using the word "Catholic" in the title of the organization. Problem is -- the group is not actually owned or incorporated in the Archdiocese of Detroit. The owner is Marc Brammer who hires Voris to do his programming. He lives in the Diocese of South Bend under Bishop Kevin Rhoades who has NOT instructed RealCatholicTV to desist.

What's particularly ironic is that diocesan officials will apparently not meet with Voris and representatives of RealCatholicTV to discuss the matter. (Voris says he's requested a meeting seven times without response.) On the other hand, the archbishop has met with a group of dissenting priests in his diocese who openly advocate for women's ordination. Voris says the problem is not the archbishop, but staffers at the chancery. And that is certainly plausible since many chanceries across the country are staffed by "professional" Catholics who are often liberals first and Catholics second.

As for whether the Archdiocese of Detroit has the competence to demand anything from RealCatholicTV, time will tell. It's interesting to ponder that we've heard nothing about bishops demanding dissent groups like Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good or Catholics United or the heretics' mouthpiece, the National CATHOLIC Reporter, to stop using the word "Catholic" in their titles. But perhaps the bishops know they won't obey so they don't bother. It's easier to beat up on the orthodox who are more oriented toward obeying authority -- if it's lawful.

This will be an interesting battle to watch. It's clear that the liberals in AmChurch hate orthodox speakers like Voris. That means he's effective. So they will do whatever they can to muzzle him. Which means it's a good time to pray for RealCatholicTV and perhaps support them with a donation.

Mike Voris of Real Catholic TV is a prophet. Like John the Baptist he doesn't mince words about the crisis in the Church in America. And, like John, the powers that be are not too happy. Sooooo, what do pharisees do to prophets? They (take your pick) throw them in the well (try to get them out of sight and mind), stone them (with calumny and detraction), and kill them (eliminate their ministry). The Diocese of Scranton recently banned Voris from speaking although homosexual activists speaking at a local Catholic college are no problemo. Voris, on the other hand, is offensive to them. Where have we heard that before?

But according to an article by Matt Abbott at Renew America, the real Voris assassins are in the Diocese of Detroit where Real Catholic TV originates. Now I've been to Detroit and attended a Mass where the padre skipped the creed and took umbrage with me for saying something after Mass. (I was respectful and cheerful and began with a compliment.) In fact, according to my husband who witnessed it, the priest gave me the single digit salute as I walked away. (See article here.) A friend who attended another parish nearby for Mass the same day left when the priest changed the words of the Consecration. So let's just say, Detroit has a few problems.

The diocese over the years gave the Church a number of the worst heterodox bishops (Gumbleton and Untener among them) and was (is?) a hotbed of homosexuality. Call to Action had its origin in Detroit as well. But the Lord has a habit of raising up prophets in the very places they are most needed. So Real Catholic TV's presence there is no surprise. And neither is the attack on Voris' prophetic voice.

The new Archbishop (Vigneron) has a reputation for quietly working behind the scenes to restore the faith. I'm not sure the quiet approach can work very effectively in the Augean Stables. I think the archbishop may need to find a river to redirect through his filthy chancery. Let's hope he can turn things around before the faith disappears entirely in Detroit.

So pray for Michael Voris and all the pharisees in the U.S. Church who widen their phylactories and parade their pro-life credentials once a year when they attend the March for Life and then return home and fund every anti-life, pro-homosexual, democrat-supporting community organizing group they can find. There is, indeed, a schism in the U.S. Church, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It is better for evil to be out in the open. It's easier to fight when you can see the enemy.

God bless Mike Voris and all those in the Church today who are courageous enough to speak the truth. May they reap a prophet's reward.
