I'm not particularly optimistic that housecleaning is on the U.S. bishops' to-do list. There is a long history of the bishops circling the wagons on a number of issues including defending dissent and supporting moral evils for the sake of government dollars. Oh what a god the Almighty Dollar is!

The bishops talk about protecting the children (The concern of those who covered up child sex abuse is a tad unbelievable don't you think?), but my cynical self wonders if they're really concerned about protecting themselves and the money. That's what VIRTUS is all about -- protecting diocesan asses assets.

[Fr.] Kavcak, a priest of Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. was once the pastor at Our Lady of Solitude in Palm Springs and is now pastor at neighboring Saint Theresa Church where the retreat will be held. Father Kavcak rented Our Lady of Solitude Church for at least two full days to Hollywood producer, Jerry Weintraub, so that church scenes could be filmed in the movie Behind the Candelabra, a gay men’s sordid love story involving Liberace in his late 50s and a young teenage guy.

Send a message to Bishop Gerald Barnes. Don't expect much since he approved the lewd movie event. But, hey, people can change, even bishops, and they sure don't like bad publicity. So make sure to advertise this far and wide! Unfortunately, Bishop Barnes has a history of homosexual promotion. Check it out here. Pray for bishops. In large part, they are a big part of what's wrong with the Church in the U.S. They sleep with the Democrats who hate God and the Church. Many endorse all things Democrat. They tell Catholics to obey the law (like Barnes endorsing Obamacare) while they champion illegal aliens breaking our laws. They endorse injustice against citizens demanding that those who invade our borders aren't really guilty of crimes. They call government theft "charity" while our country is being undermined and our values destroyed.

God save us from bishops who often live in luxury (go here, and here, and here) on the donations of the middle class in the pews while their flocks grow increasingly poorer because of big government liberalism. Shame on them and their hypocrisy!

Is anyone really surprised to hear about "Vatican gay officials?"

I'm not! That's why the Church is in such a mess. Remember 2/3 of the U.S. bishops covered up for the active homosexuals in the priesthood. How many of them are being blackmailed?

Homosexuality in the Church

Nothing explains the problems in the Church more accurately than the secret homosexual network. It's the reasons so many out and out gay priests scandalize with impunity. It's the reason priests' sex abuse was covered up by gay bishops. It's the reason entire dioceses were decimated. 

And do you really think the exposure of some means the rest are gone? Dream on! The "gay" Masses continue, the silence from the pulpit about sexual morality speaks volumes, and gay advocates in the priesthood continue to be advanced.

"Queering" the Church - part III

I've been reflecting lately on how successfully homosexual activists have infiltrated the Church using a "gay" mythology to present their disordered inclination as normal, and, in fact, a civil right. (I've blogged about it here andhere.) Interestingly enough, homosexuals are the ones introducing terms like "queering the Church."  If you Google it, the first thing that comes up is the blog of a self-described Catholic with a smorgasbord of pro-homosexual offerings including a list of "queer saints and martyrs." He names both canonized saints and others, like homosexual priests flaunting their "gayness." What exactly gives this man the authority put his personal spin on the lives of the saints or to canonize his favorite gay priests is unclear. But a brief perusal of his site indicates that, while he claims to be Catholic, his "faith" has nothing to do with adhering to the teachings of Christ articulated through the Church. He, like any other protest-ant, is his own pope.  Read more here...

The "Queering" of the Church

Many, including myself, hoped that the priest sex abuse scandals would put a halt to the "queering of the Church" a homosexual goal. But such does not seem to be the case. Here's one example from a friend in Charlotte via e-mail:

Once again, St. Peter’s Catholic Church in the Diocese of Charlotte will host an annual “Mass of Fellowship and Diversity” tonight, July 25, at 7 PM.

Oh, but it’s OK because they have changed the wording, you see. It is only referred to as a “Mass of Celebration” on their website (which continues)....was established in 1996 by Bishop Emeritus William Curlin, Father Gene McCreesh and Msgr. Richard Allen as part of the Diocese of Charlotte’s outreach to the gay/lesbian community. This year’s Mass will be presided over by Rev. David Brzoska and concelebrated by participating Diocesan priests.

Semantics, my friends. Sin is still sin and last I heard we sought the Sacrament of Reconciliation for sin. We do not “celebrate” sin.
Why is this allowed to continue in our diocese? 

A quote from Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen: America, it is said, is suffering from intolerance. It is not. It is suffering from tolerance of right and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ and chaos. Our country is not nearly so much overrun with the bigoted as it is overrun with the broadminded . . . In the face of this broadmindedness, what the world needs is intolerance.
How dare we give lip service to GOD while continuing to be silent in the face of evil?!  

The Church calls homosexuality a "disordered" attraction, in this case an attraction to the sin of same-sex lust. Like the inclination to any sin, it does not appear to be something to "celebrate." What would you think about a Mass to "celebrate" those inclined to greed with, for example, a Mass for embezzlers? How about celebrating the inclination to "man-boy love" (aka homosexual pedophilia)? Does anyone really think most of those attending the Mass are members of Courage the support group for those with same-sex attraction trying to live chaste lives? Think again. St. Peter's is listed on the website for "gay friendly" churches. This website is clearly talking about church's that welcome the gay lifestyle.


So exactly what is going on in Charlotte with this Mass? Simple: it is all about normalizing homosexuality in the Church. And the goal is far advanced! How many Catholics do you know who support gay "marriage" which is an impossibility and a contradiction? Many Catholics are so poorly catechized in the faith they don't have a clue about what the Church teaches and why which offers a perfect opportunity for the homosexual collective. 


Fr. Enrique Rueda warned about what was happening back in the 80s with his book The Homosexual Network. In the section on homosexuality and religion (Chapter VI) he wrote:

There is no question that the main stumbling block in the theoretical and practical acceptance of homosexuality by American society has been traditional religion. This has been perfectly understood by the leadership of the homosexual movement. For many years systematic efforts to utilize religion in support of homosexuality have been implemented not only by the founding of religious organizations which cater almost exclusively to homosexuals while purporting to justify their sexual propensities and activities, but also by the establishment of organziations whithin other religious insstitutions for the purpose of using them for the promotion of homosexual ideology. The importance of gaining the support of the churches, or at least neutralizing them, is widely acknowledged by homosexual leaders....Churches, once they have been infiltrated by the homosexual movement, constitute one of its most important allies.

Few listened to Fr. Rueda, any more than the bishops listened to other voices warning about homosexual abusers in the priesthood who were moved around and enabled in their vicious assaults on children. In fact, Fr. Rueda, like many prophets, was ostracized and persecuted. Shortly after The Homosexual Network was published he was suspended by Bishop Matthew Clark of Rochester, well known for his promotion of homosexualilty.  Clark remains the bishop in Rochester where he continues to advance the homosexual network in the Church. The infiltration of parishes goes on enabled by many false shepherds in sheep's clothing. God forgive the Jesuits committing this scandal and Bishop Jugis for allowing it. (My friend has been fighting this in her parish and diocese for several years, but it's allowed to continue. I decided not to sign her e-mail because retaliation is the most likely result!)

Mike Voris: The Stoning of a Prophet

Mike Voris of Real Catholic TV is a prophet. Like John the Baptist he doesn't mince words about the crisis in the Church in America. And, like John, the powers that be are not too happy. Sooooo, what do pharisees do to prophets? They (take your pick) throw them in the well (try to get them out of sight and mind), stone them (with calumny and detraction), and kill them (eliminate their ministry). The Diocese of Scranton recently banned Voris from speaking although homosexual activists speaking at a local Catholic college are no problemo. Voris, on the other hand, is offensive to them. Where have we heard that before?

But according to an article by Matt Abbott at Renew America, the real Voris assassins are in the Diocese of Detroit where Real Catholic TV originates. Now I've been to Detroit and attended a Mass where the padre skipped the creed and took umbrage with me for saying something after Mass. (I was respectful and cheerful and began with a compliment.) In fact, according to my husband who witnessed it, the priest gave me the single digit salute as I walked away. (See article here.) A friend who attended another parish nearby for Mass the same day left when the priest changed the words of the Consecration. So let's just say, Detroit has a few problems.

The diocese over the years gave the Church a number of the worst heterodox bishops (Gumbleton and Untener among them) and was (is?) a hotbed of homosexuality. Call to Action had its origin in Detroit as well. But the Lord has a habit of raising up prophets in the very places they are most needed. So Real Catholic TV's presence there is no surprise. And neither is the attack on Voris' prophetic voice.

The new Archbishop (Vigneron) has a reputation for quietly working behind the scenes to restore the faith. I'm not sure the quiet approach can work very effectively in the Augean Stables. I think the archbishop may need to find a river to redirect through his filthy chancery. Let's hope he can turn things around before the faith disappears entirely in Detroit.

So pray for Michael Voris and all the pharisees in the U.S. Church who widen their phylactories and parade their pro-life credentials once a year when they attend the March for Life and then return home and fund every anti-life, pro-homosexual, democrat-supporting community organizing group they can find. There is, indeed, a schism in the U.S. Church, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. It is better for evil to be out in the open. It's easier to fight when you can see the enemy.

God bless Mike Voris and all those in the Church today who are courageous enough to speak the truth. May they reap a prophet's reward.
