The new policy is coming quicker than you can say Jack Robinson. In effect gay scout leaders are now permitted since Gates says he will not revoke the charter of troops that allow homosexuals leaders. 

Any parents who leave their sons in the Boy Scouts are insane. Homosexuals represent about 3% of the population; they commit about thirty percent of child sex abuse. Not every homosexual is an abuser, but those who are look for opportunities to be around children -- especially without the supervision of their parents. Check out this article:

My husband and I were camping last weekend in Gettysburg. Two scout troops were camping there as well with several dozen tents set up -- lots of young boys, an ephebophile's dream.

 Thirty-eight percent of children identifying as gay were victims of sex abuse. Homosexuals aren't born; they're made. There is no evidence of a "born that way" gene. It's all about recruitment and gay/straight alliance clubs, homosexual education, etc. are all opening children to perverted sexual experimentation. Our culture actively cooperates to train youngsters to be heterosexually and homosexually active or both. 

God made us male and female. Any claim otherwise is straight out of the mouth of the deceiver. Those who are same-sex attractive need our love, but they also need the truth about chastity. Hell is forever.

Boy Scouts Pressured to Allow Gay Leaders (Note that this leader just joined the Boy Scouts and then went public. It is all about the next step in the gay agenda of forcing every institution in America to normalize and bless perverted behavior!)

Let's face it...we all knew that allowing openly gay scouts was the prelude to having openly gay scout leaders. Now take a look at what the Scouts can look forward to in the future. All you have to do is look back at the abuses in the past. This is from an article at Cal Catholic by Anne Hendershott:

the overwhelming number of the nearly 5,000 documented cases of sexual abuse within the BSA from 1947-2005 involved same-sex behavior with teenage boys. The Los Angeles Times has published a database containing information on nearly 5,000 men and a handful of women who were expelled from the Boy Scouts of America because of allegations of sexual abuse. The data were derived from confidential Scouting files—something the Scouts called the “perversion files”—submitted as evidence in a major court case involving abuse by a gay male Scout leader in 2010. 

These documents provide valuable information into the tactics that male Scout leaders used to ensnare the teenage boys in the troops, as well as revealing ways in which Scouting executives attempted to cover up abuse by simply removing leaders after credible allegations. The records of banned Scout leaders document horrific acts by serial abusers that in some cases went on for years. For example, Clyde Brock, an Oregon City troop leader, took nude photographs of male troop members and showed the photos to other Scouts who visited his home; the BSA did not remove him until two Scouts came forward to say he had forced them to engage in sexual relations with them. 

Using a color-coded map of the United States, replete with dots indicating the location of troops connected in some way to the accused, the Los Angeles Times provides information on the volume of cases opened by year. It also provides names and troop locations for each individual accused of sexual abuse. Visitors to the Times site can click on each of the thousands of names of men who were accused of sexual abuse to read the interoffice Scouting memos, arrest records, and newspaper clippings surrounding the alleged sexual abuse that caused the leaders to be banned from Scouting. 

The BSA has paid millions of dollars in damages to sexual abuse victims of male abusers. While the overwhelming majority of cases involved teenage boys, many disturbing cases of sexual abuse on prepubescent children are on record. In the largest single settlement, BSA victim Kerry Lewis was awarded nearly $20 million in damages from the BSA in a trial that ended in April 2010. Lewis was just one of several others who were sexually abused by Timur Dykes, a man who had admitted to a BSA official in 1983 that he had already molested 17 boys. During the settlement trial, Lewis’s attorneys used the secret perversion files to argue that the organization had dismissed or ignored many allegations of sexual abuse by male Scout leaders.

The media only cared about the priest abuse scandal because it allowed them to bash the Church which opposes the homosexual agenda. They will champion the right of homosexuals to be scout leaders despite the danger to youngsters from sexual predators who join for the express purpose of access to young boys. Is every homosexual an abuser? Of course not. But there is something insane about putting same-sex-attracted men in a control position over young men. It just isn't worth the risk!

More Bad News at the Boy Scouts

The second nail is being driven into the Boy Scouts' coffin with the naming of Robert Gates to the helm. Gates, you'll recall, was the one who, as Secretary of Defense, threw out Don't Ask Don't Tell and allowed open homosexuals in the military. Gay activists are already heralding his selection as a sign that things are going their way at the Boy Scouts. 

The frog is in the water and the temperature continues to be turned up. It's a sad day for a once noble institution. There's no way this can end with anything but the full integration of open homosexuals in scout leadership positions. It's just a matter of time, and gay activists take the long view.

Parents who endorse their children's sinful behavior out of a confused sense of love, may be setting them on the road to hell. I wonder, would a parent with a child who habitually shoplifted approve that lifestyle? What if the child were addicted to drugs. Would the parent feed the habit and buy clean needles? Would they support a child who molested children?

 Parents who approve of their children's sins because they "love" them, do not understand love. The first duty of parents toward their children is to help them get to heaven. Approving of their mortal sins is the last thing a loving parent should do. If the child dies in the state of mortal sin, he or she WILL GO TO HELL. Mortal sin destroys the relationship with God. Is the parents' desire to be approved by their children so strong they will sacrifice their children's souls to it?

Nobody has to sever relations with their children who are making bad choices, but parents are guilty of serious sin themselves when they endorse their children's mortally sinful lifestyles. And it is an action that is ultimately selfish because what a parent is really saying is, "I will not risk my child's anger or rejection of ME because  it will hurt ME too much." So God takes a back seat to the child and the child's sin. 

I'm a parent. Raising our five children wasn't always easy. I remember before our children reached adolescence, a friend with older children told us, "You'll change when your children are teenagers."  We didn't. Was holding the line always easy. No. One child played the "You don't love me." card when I refused to do something. I laughed and said, "I told you when you were a teenager I cold never do that." What I didn't, but would today is, "If You loved Me, you wouldn't ask me to do that."

Pray for parents, especially those tempted to approve of their children sinful decision in order not to "alienate their children." Alienating God is a lot worse! And, in the end, when a parents reward bad behavior, they just get more of it.

Excluding same-sex attracted men from being Scout leaders is not an issue of "civil rights" or discrimination; it's common sense. The fact is that almost 40% of child sex abuse is committed by homosexuals who represent 2% of the population. That means, if you take a random group of men from the pool of homosexual men and an equal group from the heterosexual population, you are much likelier to have abusers among the homosexuals than among the heterosexuals. When my boys were young I would no more put them in a troop with a gay leader than I would send them to the store with a shoplifter. Even if the homosexual is not a molester, his view of the world is skewed and he is an unhealthy masculine role model..

No matter how much the world tries to make homosexuality normal, it isn't. It isn't normal to pretend that another guy's anus is a woman's vagina. And no matter how many people buy into the homosexual's imaginary world, it is still an imaginary world. Pray for those with same-sex inclinations. They aren't normal and, if they indulge in their fantasies, they put both their physical health and their spiritual health in jeopardy. And pray for the Boy Scouts. If they change this policy they may very well be on the way to extinction.

The "Gay" Attack on the Scouts and the Church

I love the Boy Scouts. All the people who hate them are the same ones who demonize pro-lifers and people of faith. When your enemies are those who advocate murdering babies and engaging in perversion, you can be proud of yourself for standing for truth. But the assault on the Boy Scouts just goes on and on. The latest media blitz involves a "gay" scout who is over 18 but is demanding to be named an Eagle Scout retroactively.

John Fenoglio, Scout executive for the Mount Diablo-Silverado Boy Scout Council, said the Eagle rank application from Ryan Andresen of Moraga, California, wasn't approved because of "membership standards," specifically "duty to God, avowed homosexuality, and the fact that he is now over 18 years of age."..."The Eagle application was forwarded, by a volunteer, to the local council but it was not approved because this young man proactively stated that he does not agree to Scouting's principle of 'Duty to God' and does not meet Scouting's membership requirements," Smith said. "Therefore, he is not eligible to receive the rank of Eagle."

The Scouts refused to award Eagle Scout and being attacked for their "bigotry and intolerance." A related issue to the battle over the Scouts determining their own policies and standards is the attack on religious freedom. An open letter recently released by Catholic priests in the U.K. says, gay marriage is biggest threat to religious freedoms since the reformation. Amen! Catholics are being denied the right to make a living unless they bend to "gay marriage." (Thomas More could tell us a few things about being persecuted for refusing to bless an immoral "marriage.") B&B operators, caterers, photographers, vineyard owners all  must bow to the demand that their facilities and services cooperate with intrinsic evils or face lawsuits. The choice?   Cooperate or close down. And we are the intolerant ones? Some days I feel like I live in an X-rated Wonderland.
