Let me begin by pointing out that many of these alleged events occurred in the early 1990s. So keep in mind that we're looking back 30 YEARS! The alleged suicide of Michael Gonzalez occurred in 2000, over 20 YEARS ago. Even Jassy Jacas' claims, which have changed a number of times, are over a decade old. How much have memory lapses, errors, embellishments, and even deliberate lies covered up the truth like kudzu? And how eager is CM to spin the story to present the SSPX in the worst possible light?

For 25 years I have published a quarterly newsletter in the Diocese of Arlington. I use my personal home address for mailing rather than a P.O. Box. Anyone who noticed that the address for the newsletter and my home address are the same could reasonably conclude that I am deeply involved and committed to the work. In fact, it would be unreasonable to conclude that I had nothing to do with it. My name is actually on the newsletter, but let’s presume for my point, that I published anonymously. It wouldn’t take much of a Sherlock to figure out my connection. 

Which brings us back to the connections between Church Militant, Opus Dei, and Opus Dei supporters.

Is Church Militant (CM) a reliable source of trusted investigation? At this point, the answer is a clear and resounding "NO!" They use innuendo, half truths, hearsay, and outright falsehoods to advance their agenda. They've done it to many liberal bishops in the U.S. who certainly deserve criticism, but even liberal bishops deserve to be treated fairly. 

But with the SSPX, CM engages in a scorched earth policy. Take no survivors!

"The games afoot" at Church Militant (CM) as they continue to focus their magnifying glasses on the SSPX. Is Fr. Pierre Duverger collateral damage in the SSPX offensive, one more stick with which to beat the society? Inquiring minds want to know.

Some of CM's reporting has facts to back up their assertions. And that's fine. Present the facts; ask the questions; see where they lead. If someone's committed a crime bring criminal charges. Hold those accountable who are proved to be guilty by solid evidence not by rumor, hearsay, and innuendo. 

We All Have a Right to Our Good Name!

Sins against the eighth commandment are legion. Slander and detraction are serious issues. Which brings me to Church Militant (CM) and its reporting on the SSPX -- again. 

Michael Voris recently reviled the SSPX as a "cult" on a CM Twitter thread implying that  anyone who attends or defends the SSPX is a "cult" member.  He used two examples to support his statement -- Let me repeat that. He mentioned TWO!!! comments left on the Twitter feed and went on to cast aspersions on every single member of the SSPX. But not only the SSPX, the entire Latin Mass community. He implied, based on TWO comments, that everyone who attends the Latin Mass is self-righteous and thinks they are "superior and Holy." And of course, many of CM's followers piled on. Omigosh, those TLM supporters are evil and "spiritually diseased."

Before I get into the subject of the post, I want to address Church Militant's (CM) April 22nd exposé about the SSPX. Yes I watched the Vortex and read the report. It's horrifying if true, just like the horrifying information about bishops and priests all over the country (and world) that we've been steeped in for years.

A Message from One of My Heroes: Bishop Rene Gracida Calls the Laity to "Rise Up" -- Literally!

If we don't do it, "the Church is doomed." What are you doing, laity, to defend the faith? Note what Bishop Gracida says about mercy (beginning at minute 4:48). Mercy is not the essential attribute of God as the Kasperites say. "The essential attribute of God is love....We are in a crisis comparable to the Arian heresy." St. John says, "God is love, not God is mercy." Bishop Gracida calls the laity to rise up and say to our heretical shepherds, "NO! That is not true." If heresy is preached from the pulpit the laity should rise up and say, "NO!" A priest will think twice about preaching heresy again out of fear another courageous person in the pew will stand up and resist.  Listen to the entire interview at Church Militant.

So what will this "new Church" the Synod is giving us look like?

It seems the prophecy of Sr. Lucia, one of the seers of Fatima, is being worked out. She said the devil's final battle would be over the family and we are seeing it first hand. May God preserve us from a "new Church" that seems to be the goal of so many dissenter bishops and their cronies in the laity.

And...I have to agree with Tantum. I've thought for awhile that Church Militant TV is over the top in their attack on the traditionalists. The smearing of Catholic Family News, John Vennari, Chris Ferrara, et al earlier this year was beyond the pale. I blogged about it at the time because I thought it was so unprofessional.

Church Politics: Cardinal Dolan and his Thugs.

Cardinal Dolan is, well what's the word? -- a hypocrite who says, "Bravo!" to all things homosexual but sets his thugs on faithful Catholics? Or is the word worldly politician who acts like Obama's union warlords who strong arm any opponents who dare to show up at his political cheerleading events? Or is the word CEO, head of a "corporation" that cares about little besides money and power?

Or is the answer -- all three? God help us when these are the kinds of "princes" who lead the Church. It bodes ill for the upcoming Ordinary Synod on the family where Dolan will likely be one of the game masters. Thanks, Michael, for exposing the "games." The most dangerous enemies of the Church are the ones inside her churches.

Mike Voris' video reminds me of the way pro-lifers have always been treated when protesting pro-abort politicians or especially when trying to save babies from abortion. Expect a metaphorical shiv in the ribs or sometimes literal violence like Operation Rescue participants experienced in Los Angeles, Portland, and Pittsburgh.

But to be treated this way by Cardinal Dolan's handlers? Well...what can one say? It's a scandal. But I'm sure Cardinal Dolan had a "whale o' a time" as the Irish say yucking it up while gay activists advanced their agenda of normalization another giant step.

One backwards step for the faith, one giant leap for the gay agenda. What a way to honor St. Patrick, eh?

Please, Michael, Save the Big Guns for the Real Bad Guys!

Ever since watching the Mic'd Up episode on "The (Un)Catholic Media," I've been shaking my head. Why, Michael, why? The first thirty minutes on the establishment media and dissent rags like America Magazine and National Catholic Reporter were totally on target. But then the Mic'd Up team turned their guns on the traditionalists. Perhaps it's because the folks at Church Militant TV are, for the most part, young; but they don't seem to have a sense of history and the crisis that led Archbishop Lefebvre to take the steps he did to protect the faith. Their attack, how can I call it anything else, on traditionalists grieved my heart. It began with a video clip by Simon Rafe on "reactionary Catholics." Into this group (specifically mentioned during the segment) were lumped the SSPX, The Remnant, Catholic Family News, Angelus Press, and the sedevacantists as if all these are equivalent. To do that was, in my opinion, a slander. Most traditional groups specifically reject the sedevacantist position.

I was pretty impressed with the final result of this Mic'D Up episode. Watch it below.

The one thing I was sorry I didn't say when Michael asked me about the history was not mentioning two important historical books. Enrique Rueda's The Homosexual Network and Donna Steichen's book Ungodly Rage. Fr. Rueda's book exposed the broadbased homosexual network that has made it so powerful beyond its numbers; Donna exposed the connections between the liberal nuns and religious orders and the feminist movement (heavily lesbian) to promote homosexuality in the Catholic Church. The dissenting nuns continue to scandalize with people like Sr. Carol Keehan of the Catholic Health Association, the dissenting nuns lobby group NETWORK, and the Nuns on the Bus.

Pass this on. People need to see what's happening and where we are going. Parents especially must protect their children! Evil always goes after the children just like Hitler did with the Hitler Youth and Lenin did with the Young Pioneers.

If you love your children don't let them be sucked into the world of virtual reality where they can choose from a menu of dozens of "genders" outside the two God created, male and female. Explain to them why two men or two women cannot "marry."

Love speaks the truth and it is clear as day that we are living in a world of lies. Give your children the tools they need to know the difference beginning with God's law and the doctrine of the Church. The true, the good, and the beautiful speak to the human heart. Satan's lies offer pleasure that soon turns into poison. The Holy Eucharist and Confession are the antidotes to the poison of the modern world.
