dozens were murdered by an Islamic gunman. We all grieve for the senseless killings. But who is grieving for the deliberate killings that go on every day in hospitals and medical centers. If they can't get her for her organs they'll make their diagnosis of brain "death" become a reality. God help us with health providers like these.

The story about the gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo who aggressively dragged a toddler around his enclosure has inundated social media and the news for days. I can't say I'm surprised that many would have preferred letting the gorilla kill the child rather than allow the sharpshooters to kill the gorilla.

Why? Because there's a much bigger gorilla, King Kong in fact, killing countless helpless victims of all ages, and many of those who should protect the innocent victims are cheering for the gorilla. Two of his victims are toddlers like the little boy at the Cincinnati Zoo: Israel Stinson and Mirranda Lawson.

I'm concerned about what's happening in the health care field. I was involved in fighting for the lives of both Terri Schiavo and Hugh Finn, brain damaged individuals deliberately starved and dehydrated to death because their spouses wanted to be rid of them. In both cases, parents and siblings fought for their lives. In Hugh Finn's case even his mother-in-law resisted the evil her daughter was doing.

The Nightmare at Elm Street Hospital: A Horror Story

You're in a hospital room. It's stark and cold. You are sitting in a chair next to a bed where a figure lies very still -- your beloved son John Paul.  He's on a ventilator and has an IV.You listen to the hiss of the ventilator and watch the liquid from the IV bag dripping into the tube that leads to his arm. A machine measures his vitals. It shows a strong heart beat and records his blood pressure. He looks like he's asleep, but medical staff say he's in a coma, possibly brain dead. You pray he wakes up soon.

Prayer Request for End of Life Meeting

This weekend the Catholic Media Coalition is sponsoring a meeting to discuss end of life issues. It is an area that people would be wise to study since it is being used like the camel's nose in the tent to completely change U.S. medicine. How? From focus on the individual, i.e., preserving and protecting his life to focusing on the collective and hastening the individual's death if a risk/benefit analysis shows he's a non-contributor to the collective.

At Mass this morning I was struck by this sentence from the gospel. "Where the body is, there also the vultures will gather." It made me think of the palliative care team at the hospitals following families around trying to convince them to sign away the organs of their loved ones.

Noelia Echavarria was declared "brain dead" after four days in the hospital and because of that designation, the second hospital won't taker her. Bobby Schindler, brother of Terri Schiavo who was deliberately starved and dehydrated to death, had this to say about what's happening:

“We see this as a growing problem in our nation, where hospitals are not only quick to make these types of hopeless diagnoses, but are also denying the family their medical rights as advocates,” Schindler said. “Especially in the situations like Noelia Echavarria, where the parents have every right to look out for their daughter’s best interest before making any decision that could possibly jeopardize her future, impact her family, or others who someday may find themselves in similar situations.”

My comment? I hate to bring it up, but note that these young women are "people of color" (Noelia, Jahi, and Aden)  I can't help wondering how much that has to do with these cases. What kind of health insurance do the families have, for example?  Not that the death industry wouldn't be happy to kill off people of any color -- just sayin'.

Harvesting Organs: Human Trafficking and Killing for Cash

Selling body parts is big business, It's just one more example of human trafficking. Now that Planned Parenthood's involvement in the gruesome business is exposed, their top ghouls are defending the practice claiming that patients "want to donate tissue to scientific research that can help lead to medical breakthroughs, treatments and cures for serious diseases." Ah yes...it's all at the request of the patients. 

Get real! Planned Parenthood has been a blood sucking, cash loving murder machine ever since its founding in 1921 as the American Birth Control League. Margaret Sanger was instructing women how to bring on their periods from the beginning. She's always portrayed as being opposed to abortion while she was urging selfie abortions back in 1914 in her brochure on family limitation. 

Imposed Death: It's Coming for You and Your Family

I attended an End of Life Issues meeting today. One of the speakers was Dr. Paul Byrne who is an expert on the issue of "Brain Death" and organ donation. Visit his website here. Brain death is an artificial construct invented first of all to allow doctors to justify turning off the ventilator on comatose patients. Secondarily, it became the justification to allow doctors to take organs from still-living patients. (Organs like the heart, lungs, pancreas, spleen, liver, etc. are only good if the heart is still pumping and circulating blood throughout the body.)

According to Dr. Byrne, no system in the body is the "control system." The brain does not control all the other systems of the body any more than they are controlled by the heart or the liver. All the systems interact together and are interdependent. Brain death is one more verbal manipulation to allow vulnerable patients to be killed.

Keep this in mind:

With regard to unpaired organ donation, ALL ORGAN DONORS ARE ALIVE WHEN THE MEDICAL TEAM BEGINS SURGERY; WHEY THEY'RE DONE, THE PATIENT IS DEAD!

Can a Man Die Twice? Brain Death is a Sham!

Good question. And the answer for the brain death crowd is yes. In this story, Hector Comacho was declared brain dead, then, before his family decided to take him off the respirator, his condition "deteriorated" and he died of a heart attack. So was the man "dead" when he was brain dead? And if he WAS dead, how could his condition "deteriorate?" Think about it. If there was an organ donor team on standby would they have been taking the heart of a dead man when they talk his heart? But if he was already dead, how could he die of a heart attack?

MAKES YOU WONDER ABOUT BRAIN DEATH, EH?

But it's extremely convenient for the organ harvesting business. Declare the living death and take their vital organs. Their condition will certainly "deteriorate" after that happens.

Brain Death is a Sham

One more patient being steered toward the organ farm woke up and walked out of the hospital five weeks after doctors told his dad he was brain dead and would never recover. Dad just didn't listen and enlisted the assistance of a G.P. and neurologist to fight for his son's life. Today the 21-year-old is studying accounting at a local U.K. college. Life Site News says Stephen Thorpe's case is like dozens of others. So when you hear the words "brain dead" remember Stephen Thorpe et al and get another opinion to protect your loved one. This is why I will NEVER approve for myself or anyone else the transplantation of unpaired essential organs. How many patients never get a chance to wake up because they are killed for their organs? Doctors declared Kaylen Torres dead on December 27th. Then on December 28th they declared her alive. What's going on here? Doctors weren't in such a hurry to declare Gabrielle Giffords brain dead -- but she is a VIP, a member of the U.S. aristocracy, and saving her was great PR for the hospital and docs. Not so with a Medicaid tot whose organs are nice and fresh for selling.

And if you believe the statement in the article that, "I don't know a doctor in the world who would make a decision on this little girl's life based on finances," you never stood outside an abortion mill watching the abortionist pull in driving his Cadillac or Mercedes or fought for the life of a brain-damaged person like Hugh Finn or Terry Schiavo.

The poor have always been chaff for the rich which is one reason Jesus said it's so hard for the rich to get into heaven. Love the poor and unwanted, the small and the helpless; one day you may be among their number.

Are Organ Transplants Ever Morally Licit?

A commentary on the address of Pope John Paul II to the XVIII International Congress of the Transplantation Society

On August 29, 2000, Pope John Paul II delivered an address to the XVIII International Congress of the Transplantation Society. While we are grateful for his teachings, we believe that certain points need further clarification.

Some members of the medical profession have interpreted the Holy Father’s address as a tacit unconditional approval for organ transplantation. We believe this interpretation of the Pope’s teaching is profoundly wrong. In fact, we read the Pope’s address as a strong condemnation of the inhumane procedures and violations of natural moral law that presently occur with the transplantation of certain organs. We further argue that all men of good will must properly understand and explicitly follow the applicable theological and moral laws.

These laws are:

• No unpaired vital organ can morally be removed from a living human person;


• There should be no commercial traffic in human organs;


• People—especially the young—must fully comprehend that when they agree to be organ donors, they give transplant surgeons a license to terminate their lives.

Some members of the medical profession have heralded the Pope’s speech as an affirmation of their procedures, when in truth the Holy Father set forth stricter guidelines. These stricter guidelines are currently being violated, misinterpreted, or ignored.

Brain Death and Organ Donation

I've been following the argument about "brain death" and organ donation for several years. It was an impersonal discussion for me until the end of last month when a friend's son was in an ATV accident and landed in the hospital in a coma and on a ventilator. He was showing some improvement a week after the accident and then brain swelling cut off the circulation to part of his brain and the hospital started agitating to do an apnea test where they turn off the ventilator for a few minutes to see if the patient breathes on his own.

That triggered the memory of an article I read by Dr. Paul Byrne who said the apnea test often hurts the patient's chances for recovery, causing irreversible brain damage, and begins the process of organ donation. If the patient doesn't breathe on his own the hospital will declare the patient "brain dead," turn the ventilator back on to keep the organs fresh, and begin the process of acquiring and extracting his organs. The patient is still, in fact, very much alive and the removal of vital organs is what actually causes death. You can't live without a heart!

In a culture of death the "harvesting" of organs from patients, even living patients, isn't hard to justify. After all, the babies have been "harvested" for years -- for cosmetics, vaccines, and more recently, embryonic stem cells. Besides, "nobody would want to live like that" (i.e., brain-damaged, unwanted, useless, etc.). People are now one more commodity to buy and sell. There's lots of money in organ donation. Learn more about how people are being hustled into the afterlife, especially young people in traumatic accidents with good healthy organs. There are some real horror stories out there.
