My husband and I are beekeepers. During the Spring we check the hives regularly to try to prevent swarming and keep pests under control. On our last inspection we noticed a significant small beetle infestation in the hives. These creepy little black bugs eat the honey, lay their larvae in the cells and can become so great a nuisance that the bees give up altogether and abscond abandoning the hive to the invaders. When we see them, we need to take action. I've ordered traps that I'll fill with a solution of apple cider vinegar, water, sugar, and soap. Hopefully they will be attracted to the scent. They supposedly like fermented things. The scent attracts them and they fall into the traps and drown. Good-bye beetle problem. At least that's the hope.

Pilgrimage of Blasphemy Desecrated St. Peter's Basilica
I used to think that abortion was the moral evil that would destroy us. While it's certainly a grave moral evil, I now believe that what will destroy us if we don't change is homosexuality, transgender insanity and all the other alphabet disordered depravities. They not only attack marriage and the family; they attack reason itself.

What's the Agenda Behind the Call to Pre-Conclave Meetings that Began Last Tuesday?
The pope's body was hardly cold before Cardinal Re began pre-conclave meetings. Is that even respectful? Fr. Murray brings up additional issues about the pope's legacy that I didn't include in my post earlier today, particularly Francis' attack on marriage and family. Watch it!

Mostly Good News from the Headlines! Guess What; There are Some Good Governors Out There! Praise God!
The bad news: Cardinal Zen was arrested in Hong Kong. He's out on bail but they've taken his passport so he's not free to leave the country. I think we can thank the Vatican for this. Will they do anything now? Or just double down on letting China name Catholic bishops and run roughshod over the underground church. (Source) The Vatican is following the situation "with concern" and "with extreme attention." That should make us all relieved, right?
LOTS OF GOOD NEWS FROM SOME GREAT STATES (Not Maryland, but, hey, even a bad state makes an occasional good decision.)

Thou Shalt Not Cross Church Militant
I'll just go ahead and admit a few things here so that Church Militant can get all their legal ducks in a row if they're thinking of suing me, dragging me into court, making me lose my job (hahaha), doxing me, searching my dark mysterious past, etc. So here goes....
I've never had a fundraiser on the Internet for myself or others, I own my own little home left to my brother and me by our mother when she died (I bought my brother's half since he already had a home). I live alone, I've been married twice, I have 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. I'm poor, never lonely, converted to Catholicism 41 years ago, attended Novus Ordo parishes but now am a member of the SSPX.

Unity is Not the Preeminent Catholic Issue: False Unity Creates a Monster!
![]() |
| Jean-Baptiste de Champaigne 1678 (Detroit Museum of Art) |
At the Last Supper, Jesus prayed for the unity of his followers – as He and the Father are one. “I pray that they may be one in us...I living in them, You living in me – that their unity may be complete.” (John 17:21-22) Earlier in the gospel John describes the Good Shepherd who knows his sheep including some who “do not belong to this fold.” But Jesus calls them too, “And they shall hear my voice. There shall be one flock then, one shepherd.” (John 10:16)

Pope Francis Papacy Timeline: 2019
I continue to work on the papal timeline, but decided to skip from 2015 to 2019 since last year gave us such a bumper crop of scandals! Yes indeed, 2019 was a banner year for Pope Francis undermining the Faith of our Fathers with the help of his confreres!
What an understatement!
The pope follows his own advice to "make a mess" and made a mess big time in 2019! But that may be a blessing because, as evil positions itself center stage with fanfare of trumpets, rainbow banners, pagan symbols, idol worship, etc., more people are "woke"

The Horror of Organ Donation in China
And this is the country described by Archbishop Marcello Sorondo, head of the Pontifical Academy of Science as being “the best implementer of Catholic social doctrine," a country that “has defended the dignity of the human person.” One wonders how the Chinese prisoners blood and tissue-typed for forced organ donation feel about that.

The Passion Begins.... For the Underground Church in China
| Bishop Guo of the underground church allegedly refused to concelebrate Easter Mass with excommunicated bishop. |
What is especially tragic, however, is the part the Vatican is playing in the persecution. The headlines below highlight the betrayal of the poor, persecuted Catholics of China who have risked much to continue praying in the underground Church that remained faithful to the Holy See. In today's modern Church, it seem no martyrdom goes unpunished. The real bishops are being asked to step down so government-appointed bishops of the faux Catholic Patriotic Association can take their places. Is Et tu, Brute the proper reaction or Do you betray your master with a kiss? Perhaps both.

Sunday Meditation: Holy Week Begins....On Betrayal and the Church in China
![]() |
| Our Lady of China, pray for the persecuted underground Church. |
I was reading a LifeSiteNews article reprinted in The Wanderer about Cardinal Zen and his dismay over the Vatican betraying China's underground Church and recognizing the unfaithful bishops excommunicated by previous popes.
What a head-shaker!
The suffering Church in China must be feeling the same betrayal as Catholics in England watching their bishops bend the knee to a lustful monarch who began the systematic dismantling of the Church. Except for St. John Fisher, I'm not aware of a single courageous English bishop who defended the faith.

Random And Meandering Thoughts
![]() |
| AB Sorondo's Chinese Utopia. |
- What times we live in eh? The Vatican is betraying the faithful Chinese bishops and throwing the persecuted underground Church under the bus. Retired Chinese Cardinal Zen has been very outspoken about the betrayal which has elicited the usual Vatican response -- a rebuke (without naming him).
- Telling the truth these days isn't popular at the Vatican. Archbishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, head of the Vatican's Pontifical Academies for Sciences and Social Sciences, praised the current bloody Commie bosses who, according to him, have made the country a Utopia: no drugs, no "shantytowns," a country that has taken on a "moral leadership that others have abandoned." (This was likely a reference to Trump pulling out of the Paris Accord. China, of course, is a bastion of ecological responsibility!) The bishop must be clueless about the millions of forced abortions in China, the fact that most of the meth in the Philippines comes from China as well as the synthetic opioids that end up in the U.S., and that many people in the country live on the equivalent of a dollar day. Archbishop Sorondo apparently lives in the Potemkin Village!
